Welcome to 225 East Arctic on Folly Beach! This oceanfront location will captivate guests of all ages and up to 2 furry companions (with paid fee). Spacious beachfront single family home with an floor plan and picturesque views of the Folly Beach Fishing Pier. You can stroll down your private walkway to the beach, or walk just 2 blocks to the restaurants and entertainment in the downtown area of Center Street. The kitchen, dining and living area boast an open layout so family and friends can enjoy each other's company.

There are 4 bedrooms (2 bedrooms on each side of the living area) along with 3 full baths. High quality bedding, linens, and bath towels are provided. Each bedroom has it's own cable TV. This house sleeps 10 comfortably. All family and guests will have enough private parking in the driveway. Spend your vacation with us and enjoy your morning coffee while admiring the spectacular sunrise from your screened porch. Then, when the evening comes, relax to the soothing ocean breezes.

Head to the far east end of Folly, down E. Ashley Ave, to the ¼ mile walking path leading to the picturesque beach to take in the serene view of Morris Island Lighthouse. For other outdoor activities, several local tour companies offer paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, and shelling tours, sunset cruises for dolphin watching, as well as surfing lessons.

Historic downtown Charleston is a mere 25 minute drive away with tours, as well as world-class shopping and dining. Neighboring towns of James Island, Johns Island, Mount Pleasant, Isle Of Palms, & Wild Dunes all have something special to offer, whether you are a foodie, into golf, historic sites, or craft brews. Golfing is a popular pass time in the Lowcountry, so you can find several nearby at Stono Ferry, Patriot's Point Links, James Island Community Course, and world-class courses on Kiawah Island.

There is parking for 4 vehicles in the driveway. Additional vehicles must find off-street parking where available and follow the City of Folly Beach rules. Uber and Lyft are very scarce on the island, please plan your transportation accordingly. Check-in is at 4:00pm and check out is at 10:00am.

225 East Arctic is strictly non-smoking and is a family vacation rental. Pet friendly with paid fee of $200 plus tax per pet, maximum 2 pets allowed. Amenities include Wi-Fi, cable TV, washer, dryer, fully stocked kitchen with modern appliances, outdoor shower, central heat and air conditioning, 24-hour emergency on-call staff. Wonderful home only two blocks away from downtown (easily walkable to avoid the hectic parking situation). The house is exactly as advertised and well maintained. The beds were comfortable though a bit firm, but that is what we like. Moreover, the kitchen has everything one would need if you decide to stay in and cook meals. The house is right next to a public beach access point and parking lot, however, we never felt like the beach was overly crowded with plenty of space available even on busy days. Would highly recommend!

Great beach Vacay

Great location just a couple blocks from Center Street and all the shops and restaurants...and of course the beachfront views and access were awesome too. Only complaint is that our 4 cruiser bike were stolen, although the were replaced the next day without a hassle. Would definitely stay there again as the 4 bedrooms allowed each of my adult kids and their spouses/SOs to have their own rooms. There was also enough gathering space for us to hangout since the screened in porch was so huge.

Fantastic Folly Home

Great location on the beach. Beautiful ocean view from the spacious screened in front porch. The home has a wonderful layout with big bedrooms and bathrooms. Very clean. A great family place with a large dining table to fit everyone. The house is walking distance to the pier and downtown restaurants. Also, a short drive to Charleston.

Great place!!

Super house! Nice, clean, comfortable and perfect location. Beds and linens were clean and very comfortable. The ocean view was beautiful. It’s the best pet friendly accommodations we’ve ever had.

Comfortable, Convenient Rental

The house was Clean, well maintained and had easy beach access. It was very nice have everything on one floor and the screened back deck was great for relaxing in the evening. There is public beach access directly beside this rental, so there is extra traffic beside the house and more foot traffic on the beach.

Family Break at Folly Beach

Property is a great location with view of the ocean and ease of access to the town center. Nice space to gather and enjoy meals including a large kitchen. Enjoyed having the bedrooms all on one floor (after navigating up the outdoor stairs). Clean and bright and a wonderful screened porch! Property info listed a laundry, that we unable to locate.

Fall Break-Great Stay

Great spot. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. We had a blast! Perfect size for our group of 6 adults and 4 kids. Easy walk to the sand.

Family Weekend

Second stay for us for the second year in a row. Love it!

This is a fantastic property in a stellar location. We can walk anywhere in town and the location is perfect for us on the beach. The house is comfortable and we enjoy the open middle which has the kitchen, (large) dining table and living space. Each family (3) has its own room and the kids had a room to themselves. This has worked perfectly for us both years. Carolina One has been helpful with great communication both times as well.

Perfect beach for kids

We have been renting homes at the beach since the mid 90's, this was by far the best. We loved the layout of the house. We loved the long shallow beach, it was awesome for the children and babies, also for fishing in the early morning. The kitchen had most everything that is needed to cook meals. The only minus was the parking lot next door -weekend nights, so therefore only 2 nights - Saturday and then the next Friday (this was not an all night "thing" and it definitely would not keep us from rebooking this house) The location on the beach and so close to the main street was a plus. We also really liked how close it was to other activities. As far as working with the agency, we had issues opening the door that was taken care of immediately. I did call Sunday morning regarding the ice maker not working, which I called again about on Monday and Tuesday. The ice maker was looked at on Tuesday but couldn't be fixed for us. We are so glad we picked this house!

Folly fun 2022

Great location and views. Clean and plenty of space for family. Only negatives were the beds. Mattresses are way past the time to be replaced. Within walking distance to Bert's and restaurants , but also a little noisy and crowded on the beach. Great weather and place to enjoy vacation. Can't wait to visit again.

Nice beach house

We loved the screen porch and the amount of seating. Access to restaurants was within walking distance. Short walk to beach. Excellent bedroom and kitchen layout. What needs improvement: hardwood floors need refinishing and French door needs replacement. Public parking next to house gets very busy and loud on weekends.

Great Beachy Beach House

Great beachy style beach house. Not fancy, just beachy! Loved the layout. Great for 3 couples. Kitchen well equipped. TV very easy to manage. Lots of channels and Netflix. Great porch with lots of chairs. Parking for at least 6 cars. Depending on your own personal perspective, the location was a bit crowded since it's somewhat close to Center St. But...that's also a perk if you don't mind walking a couple of blocks to Center St. Then you don't have to worry about parking. Overall Great stay! Would definitely stay again.

House was in a fantastic location. Views were beautiful. House was very nice and just the right size. Bedding was clean and nice. House amenities were great as well. The vents were pretty dusty, but we also stayed at end of season. When we arrived, one portion of the screened in porch was ripped. I emailed right away so we wouldn't be blamed, and they sent someone over right away to fix it, which was great. We would definitely stay again.

Post Pandemic Reunion

Perfect property to reunite with family and friends. Location to center street shops and restaurants a plus. Guests ranged in age from 9 to 70 years. Would def book again!

Clean updated and almost perfect location

The house was really clean and well updated. The location was mostly fantastic: on the beach within walking distance of all the restaurants and shops. We wish we would have known there was a public beach access parking lot right next to the house when we booked. I believe the listing now has photos showing the lot, but we were not aware when we booked the house. On the weekends the lot was noisy late into the night, but otherwise it was not a big issue.

Spring Break 2021

This house is right on the beach which is beautiful but next to the public beach access and parking lot was not ideal. The house needed a better cleaning. Lots of dust and windows needed to be cleaned in order to see the ocean view. The refrigerator and freezer never seemed to cool down properly even after contacting the management company. Overall we had a great family stay. The house was perfect for our family of five. We loved being able to walk to town for great restaurants. We did a lot of bike riding too.

A Great Place for Family to Gather at the Beach

Our extended family had a great stay at 225 E. Arctic! There was lots of room to gather, play games, eat meals and visit. The property was clean and well kept, and the accessibility to everything on Folly Beach was excellent. It's a pretty short drive into historic Charleston as well. Check-in time was late on our Sunday arrival date. On our arrival day, the time changed and we were asked to arrive at 4:00 pm rather than 6:00 pm. We were driving from a long distance and, at that point in the trip, couldn't arrive sooner. Even though we arrived within the 4:00-6:00 window, the rental office was closed and we had to pick up our keys from a "late arrival" box. There was no one available to answer any questions. But things were in order at the house and we were able to figure everything out. We appreciated being able to rent beach chairs and umbrellas for the week through the Rental Agent's partnership with VayK Gear. That was very convenient and saved us from bringing our own. Thanks Hannah! We loved your house!
