Overview: Welcome to “Our Sanctuary,” a beautiful oceanfront vacation home on Folly Beach. This spacious five-bedroom, three-bathroom retreat features extended beachside decks, private beach access, and stunning ocean views. With its prime location near the beginning of the premier surf break at "The Washout," this home is ideal for families and beach lovers seeking a week of relaxation and adventure.

Features:
Living Area: The reverse floor plan places the open-concept living room and fully updated kitchen on the top floor, offering breathtaking ocean views. Large windows and glass doors provide abundant natural light, making this a perfect space to unwind and enjoy the scenery. The kitchen features a spacious island with additional seating and a dining table that accommodates seven. A small round table off the kitchen is perfect for morning coffee and planning your day.

Kitchen: Fully equipped and updated kitchen with modern appliances and ample counter space, ideal for preparing meals and gathering with friends and family.

Bedrooms:
Room #1: Bunk bed with a twin on top and full on the bottom.
Room #2: Bunk bed with a twin on top and full on the bottom.
Room #3: King bed.
Room #4: Oceanfront king bed.
Room #5: Oceanfront king bed.

Bathrooms: Three full bathrooms are conveniently located to serve all guests.

Outdoor Space:
Beachside Decks: Enjoy extended decks that offer ample space for lounging, dining, and soaking in the ocean breeze. Perfect for cookouts and gatherings.
Ground-Level Hangout Spot: A shaded area underneath the house is ideal for enjoying lunch after a beach session or hosting a lowcountry boil dinner at sunset.
Private Beach Access: Direct access to the beach with an outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand.

Additional Information:
Elevator: The home is equipped with an elevator for guest convenience, but its functionality cannot be guaranteed due to the complexity of repairs.
Golf Cart: The owner’s golf cart is not available for guest use. If interested in renting a golf cart, please contact our team.

Free Wi-Fi, cable TV, air conditioning, and washer/dryer for guest convenience.
Coffee Time! Drip, Nespresso, and K-cup available.
Private outdoor shower to refresh after beach days.

Great access to the beach! Spacious and clean home. Just right for our large family. Lots of stairs! There was an elevator but was hard to get working.

We had an excellent stay at “Our Sanctuary” and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Folly Beach. The beachfront location is unbeatable with kids. We absolutely loved being able to step right onto the sand and walk into town along the beach. It offered the perfect mix of convenience and a relaxing beach getaway.The house was spacious, comfortable, and well suited for our family, with plenty of room to gather together or spread out and relax. The host was also fantastic, providing prompt, friendly communication from booking through checkout.If you're looking for a beachfront property with lots of space, easy access to town, and a responsive host, this is a great choice. We would happily stay here again.

I think it would help to have a welcoming book to explain how things work in house. The tv was a challenge and finally we had to have someone come and fix it. We ran out of propane in the middle of cooking and had to wait till next day for a full one. Things like that should be checked. Shelves in door if refrig were gone and one of the shelves was broken also the ice maker in freezer did not work. I will say the house was very clean and beds were comfortable. Oh remote for fan in bedroom also didn’t work

Beautiful property, clean presentation and nicely furnished, all you could want from the double deck beach view - 40 steps to planting your umbrella and chairs. Ideal upstairs entertainment area/kitchen separate from bedrooms on second level and handy elevator for luggage.Couple of suggestions - no cable access so only 3 local stations, not that we spent much time indoors...golf cart was charging but 'not operational', woulda been handy.Notified a day prior that master shower had newly cracked floor and we needed to work around, hardly ideal, but have to say George at Dunes Properties did his best to work with us and make it right. Couple other issues but stuff happens - gorgeous property and would stay again if we proactively cleared up a few things.

Perfect Folly Beach Vacation

Our stay could not have been better. Location was just close enough to the action, and just far enough to feel like you have space and privacy. We will definitely consider returning to this property!

Great stay at the beach!

What a great beach house! Very well appointed for a family traveling with young children. We definitely appreciated all of the kids toys, clean bathtubs, and outdoor showers. Great beachfront location on a quiet section of the beach, but still accessible to the town strip. Love the staircase bunk beds! Looking forward to staying here in the future!

Loved the house and location. Quick responses to couple minor issues. Seating in family room could be better. Sofas are deep so hard for shorter people to be comfortable. But we’d love to come back. Great vacation!

3 Siblings,3 Different States met in Folly Beach for our mothers 82 Birthday! Longest she's spent with her children all together in years. Our Sanctuary was the perfect house with a great support team at Dunes Properties. Lacey and The Vacations Team were great with any needs or questions we had! A recommendation -- Provide elevator usage instructions in advance of stay. We figured it out eventually, but it took awhile.One problem -- There was no grill at the house as advertised. I called the problem in at 9:00 A.M. the first morning of our stay. A grill was delivered by noon, so a very good response.

WonderfulThanksgiving Family Gathering

There were 11 of us who gathered for a family Thanksgiving. My husband and myself and then 2 of our married children and their children and then 2 of our unmarried children. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our group comfortably. The kitchen was also well stocked to prepare food for this special occasion. There were plenty of pots and pans, a potato peeler and masher etc. I We also enjoyed all the different decks

Our Sanctuary Folly Beach Family Reunion

“Our Sanctuary” was rented as part of a family reunion. The property was very nice, on the beach, with ample room for large gatherings. We had 9 people most of the week and hosted a group of 30+ early in our stay that turned out terrific. The beach house was central to many of the 30 acting as a base where beach chairs, etc. could be conveniently stored for daily use. The beach house did require attention as the A/C on the bedroom floor was not functioning and could not be repaired during our stay. Dunes Properties did provide multiple window A/C units which provided some relief. When fully operational “Our Sanctuary “ can provide a first class vacation experience.

Thanksgiving

Nice place buy very very noisy. The bedrooms are on 2nd level and den is on top. You can hear every single footstep that people make in the den and kitchen. Hard to sleep while other people are up. The porch had structural damage on the floor and was very weak. We had to block it so nobody would fall through. Also, the washer did not work and the dishwasher trays had wheels missing and would fall out when you open the door. We would not stay here again.

Short on luxury but big on views

This is a tough review bc the home has a great location and the ocean views are wonderful. The house is , however, very dated and cluttered. It needs a new couch and more comfortable places to sit. The house is “lived in” , tired, and looks like it was decorated by via a hodgepodge of yard sales. Many of the bedrooms have no place to unpack your clothes or sit. The furniture is old and uncomfortable. The bedding needs a total overhaul and would be below par at a cheap hotel. The pillows in particular where astonishingly old and gross. The kitchen was well stocked and the showers were pretty nice. Those were the interior highlights. If you rent this place , bring your own pillows and beach chairs. I wouldn’t rent this again in it’s current condition.

Two outside showers were a big help with beach washoffs. Folly Beach regulations prohibit any sort of family gatherings outside of the 12 guests staying in the house, which was unfortunate.

It's great to hear that the elevator made getting up to that third level kitchen a breeze. We understand that the local regulations regarding gatherings can be a bit of a disappointment when you're traveling with a group, but we really appreciate your understanding.
