Le Mogador - Appartement familial à 100m de la plage

The Cocoonr/ B&P Agency offers you this 46M2 duplex flat, designed for 4 people in the second row with a view over the basin, in a seafront residence located on the Boulevard Promenade Veyrier Montagneres, between the Thiers and Eyrac jetties. You are within easy reach of restaurants, shops, the casino, the pier for Cap Ferret and Ile aux Oiseaux, and cycle paths.

This flat has just been renovated and has 2 levels. On the ground floor, after passing along the car park, there is a living room with bay window, fitted kitchen, utility room and separate wc. On the 1st floor, there are 2 bedrooms (you have to pass through one bedroom to get to the second), shower room and wc.

Accommodation :
- Living room with sofa, TV, table for 4 people,
- Open, fully-equipped kitchen: induction hob, dishwasher, oven, microwave, Nespresso, kettle, toaster, plenty of storage space with all the utensils and crockery you need,
- Separate WC
First floor:
- Shower room with spacious walk-in shower
You have to pass through the double bedroom to get to the bedroom with 2 single beds.
- Bedroom 1: double bed with wardrobes
- Bedroom 2: 2 single beds

The area
You're right in the heart of Arcachon, with the beach just 50 metres away and cycle paths leading from the south in the aiguillon district to Le Mouleau and Pyla. The famous market is just 8 minutes away, full of colourful stalls, and the Thiers jetty is just 2 minutes away for exploring the basin by boat.

The apartment was spotless. 🙁 The whole street outside is being redeveloped until end of summer 2024, so be warned there may be some building noise all day. This also means that the car park is out of use, and you cannot access the beach directly through the gate, you have to go round a diversion. It's not that much longer, but not the direct access advertised. They gave us a pass to use the street parking for free, but parking was really hard to find. It was highly annoying we couldn't park outside the apartment- that was a key reason we booked this place as we have a young child. While the apartment can't help the building work, it is annoying to have to contend with it with no notice that this was happening. It is also a bit misleading the way the pics show an outside seating area, when in fact that space outside is the corridor for other building residents to access upstairs, so it's awkward to sit outside and you have people walking right in front of the patio and upstairs windows all the time. The second bedroom is off the first bedroom, no separate entrance. And the door to the first bedroom and bathroom is very low and my husband jolted his neck a couple of times in the middle of the night."

Le logement est très bien équipé et fonctionnel. 🙁 Le logement est bien dans l'ensemble et les prestations (literie, sdb, équipements) sont appréciables. Je trouve en revanche que l'emplacement en lui même n'est pas très heureux (à côté du local poubelle au fond du parking). C'est bête mais il y a des odeurs. Petite précision pour les grands (>1m80), attention aux encadrements de porte à l'étage !"

Linge de maison impeccable , accueil chaleureux. Le parking compris : nous n avons pas touché notre voiture du séjour! 🙁 Si nous devions dire quelque chose, la connexion internet pour la TV longue a démarrer (mais c est uniquement du fait du fournisseur internet). La vue directe sur le parking , mais c était bien visible sur l annonce donc pas de surprise la non plus."

Bem equipado, cozinha completa e lavadora de roupas. 🙁 Não tem ar condicionado e nem mesmo um ventilador e foi muito quente no período que fomos, com muitos mosquitos. Muita umidade no apartamento, de forma que as roupas não secaram e tivemos que as lavar novamente e colocar para secar no exterior. O quarto do casal fica na passagem entre o quarto das crianças e o banheiro o que não confere nenhuma privacidade. O colchão e travesseiros poderiam ser mais confortáveis."

L'accueil sympathique et professionnel. 🙁 Les chambres en enfilade ... c'est à préciser ! La literie vraiment pas top . La baie vitrée qui fait office de porte d'entrée est directement sur le parking (c'estun ancien garage rehabilité). Il y a beaucoup de passage donc il faut garder la baie et le rideau fermé si on veut un peu d'intimité mais pour le coup la pièce est très sombre ."

We loved the location and were already planning a return visit before…… (See below) 🙁 We were accused of staining a sofa. We were sent a photo of a grey sofa - there was NO grey sofa in the apartment - with a stain on it that was ‘not there before our stay’ asking what we knew about it, because the sofa was new and the agency were upset about it. To say we were upset was a total understatement. We were extremely upset and the accusation spoiled what had been a wonderful stay in Arcachon. We had sat in a dark green sofa, which was covered with a turquoise fluffy throw, for only about an hour on the Wednesday evening as during daytime we were on the beach and at night we were in the town. This has made us very wary of renting apartments as in 30 years of doing so we have never been accused of staining or damaging anything - because we are very careful and mindful of the property belonging to someone else."
