Haena Modern Beachfront, Hale Elua (Two) is a newly renovated modern beach home with luxurious furnishings. Hale Elua offers 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, a formal dining room table, casual outdoor dining on the lanai, air conditioning, high-speed internet & hot tub. There are two homes on the property that are available to rent individually and experience a beautiful private escape for your oceanside adventure or you may want to rent them both for a family reunion, small business conference, or group of friends.

Haena Modern Beachfront Hale Elua is located on the lush north shore of Kauai, the Garden Island. Kauai is known as the most naturally beautiful island in the Hawaiian chain, as yet unsullied by modern development. It is the oldest island of Hawaii and has towering mountains, scenic canyons, and spectacular waterfalls. At Hale Elua, you can escape to "old Hawaii" amongst towering kamani and ironwoods trees, swaying palms, and turquoise ocean. Savor the moment of this relaxed tropical paradise while lounging on the lanai and watching the sunset after a glorious day of ocean play.

Haena Modern Beachfront is just minutes from the town of Hanalei and beachfront to Tunnels Beach, the best snorkeling location on the island. The Na Pali Coast Trail and Ke'e Beach are 2 miles from the property and accessed with a permit. Please visit . The 1 Hotel (golf, tennis, spa, and restaurants) is just 20 minutes away. The north shore of Kauai offers a multitude of fine restaurants and daily activities; a list of recommendations will be available to you for your stay.

It was very well stocked with everything you could need, including beach chairs, beach toys, beach towels, etc. Loved the modern updates and decor. We spent mornings and evenings listening to the waves on the beach from the comfortable patio. The kids loved the hot tub. Beautiful beach just steps from the home. We loved our morning beach walks to Tunnels (about 15-20 minute walk). Just an absolutely magical place and loved the quiet and solitude of the North shore. Will definitely be back!

Everything was perfect! Check-in was a breeze, easy internet access, and kitchen is absolutely beautiful and lovely to use. The house is gorgeous, welcoming and very thoughtfully designed. We were in heaven! This is our second time here and we hope to come back.

Lovely beach house

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house right on the beach. The house has direct access to the beach and it’s a beautiful walk on the beach to the Napali Coast. The house had everything we needed and was very peaceful.

Spectacular!

We can’t say enough about our stay here. This Haena home has been meticulously and tastefully renovated with attention to every detail. The overall feel is embracing and welcoming. The kitchen is extremely well-outfitted, not to mention beautifully done. We enjoyed dinners on the front deck every night overlooking the ocean and beautifully manicured garden. The large front room is perfect for hanging out, reading, yoga or watching a movie. We all commented how lovely it was to come “home” after days on the beach or adventures - we all felt spoiled! This vacation was a splurge for us, and we felt it exceeded our expectations. We hope to come back!

Haena Vacation

This property is amazing!! We found the home bigger and nicer than what it looks like from the pictures. It accommodates 6 adults easily with lots of space. It is right on the beach (not swimmable though) and the grassy/shady lawn is perfect spot. The best part is the lanai-it is large with a table for 6, 2 oversized comfy chairs and a hot tub. The view is amazing! Tunnels beach is just around the corner-a quick 15 minute walk with calmer water to swim and snorkel. Beach is not busy or crowded. Responses from host were quick (the only thing we needed was trash/recycling emptied) and we had no problems during our stay. It is a quiet, remote location that offers solitude. Even though the rental right next door is close, we never heard the visitors and still felt secluded. We hope to come back to this exact rental in the future!

The house is super well taken care of, it's stocked well with the best of the best, air conditioning and fans in every room, and just gorgeous! Waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the incredible sunrises above the ocean right from the bedroom is a true gift. You have the best beach right in front of the house to begin the gorgeous 15 min walk to tunnels. The hot tub is an amazing edition to relax in the early morning or after a long day of exploring. We already booked our next stay! Can't wait to be back to relax and unwind in this magical place!

Gorgeous Beachfront Home

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. The location is perfect, right on the beach a short walk from the Tunnels reef. Everything about the newly remodeled property is high end, from the gourmet kitchen (Wolf, Sub-Zero, All-Clad, Cuisinart, etc) to the huge collection of luxurious Pendleton beach towels. We enjoyed the short beautiful drive to Hanelei for fresh Opah from the Dolphin fish market, which we barbecued on the lanai overlooking the turquoise waters of the North Shore, napping and reading in the hammock overlooking the beach, walking up to Tunnels for snorkeling with the sea turtles, Surf lessons at Hanelei bay, hiking in Haena State Park just up the road, fresh pineapple and citrus daiquiris from the Vitamix blender, delicious tapas at Baracuda, amazing ramen at Ama, and super-fresh Poke bowls from Hanalei Poke, and stand-up paddling and kayaking on the Hanalei River --all close by in Hanalei. We highly recommend this home for your North Shore Kauai vacation.

Beautiful and Private

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental home is a wonderful escape from the crowded resort areas. It was very clean, with updated furnishings and appliances. The A/C units worked very well which was needed since it was very hot in July. The views from the patio were gorgeous and the ocean was just a few steps away. There were only 2 issues that could use some attention. 1. The washing machine smelled very strongly of mildew. It needs to be cleaned and serviced. Unfortunately, I think too many renters put sandy towels in there and it wasn't designed to handle that much sand.2. The hot tub was leaking the entire time. I was told the owner is aware of it but I guess they haven't bothered to do anything about it.Other than that, the stay was amazing!

Just book it! This place is incredible in every way! So clean! Feels brand new and the decor and finishes are so nice! If you want to wake up to the ocean waves and be able to step right out onto the beach, this is the place for you! Everything you need to cook at home if you don't want to drive to town. (Go to Walmart to get your groceries before you head North, food at local stores is expensive) This home does share a lot with another identical home, but those guests were not a problem for us. You will see other people though because of that if the other home is booked, so if you want total seclusion, this is not the place for you. It does take about 10 minutes of driving to get to Hanalei for any restaurants, etc... everything takes a while in Hawaii due to windy slow roads. As far as the beach goes, this is NOT a snorkeling beach. In fact, we couldn't get in the water at all. There are lots of big rocks and big waves since this home faces North. The water is rough in this area, so do not plan to get in the water at this home. Tons of nearby beaches though that are safer for water stuff. Not being able to get in the water was not an issue for us. You have to give up something to have views like this! Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Manager was super responsive when we had an issue. The only thing that I did not like was that the hot tub chemicals were so strong that you could not actually get in and enjoy it.

We had breakfast each morning on the deck overlooking the ocean, leisurely afternoons in the hammock, and lovely walks on the beach to Tunnels for snorkeling. The home itself was gorgeous and well appointed but left some to be desired. Some of cookware and knives were worn out, it was lacking basic amenities we would be accustomed to for a rental of this quality (tea, coffee, sweetener, spices, propane for the grill, had to request olive oil and shampoo/conditioner which our on-island property manager delivered). The air conditioner splits were helpful for warm afternoons but we felt the mattresses were uncomfortable. We found it off putting how it was mentioned many times that after the starter supply of toilet paper etc. was used, we were on our own. Overall, for the cost vs. value, I don’t feel we would return to this particular property and were a bit surprised by Hawaii Life’s property management.

Amazing location but lacking otherwise

The house has been nicely remodeled but isn’t finished. Lots of stuff mentioned that isn’t actually included because of the remodel and a real lack of communication between the property management team and renters. When we expressed our concerns we were ignored or argued with. It really left a bad taste in our mouthes. We didn’t expect them to magically fix everything and would’ve been satisfied if they made us feel heard. First class location with low class service. Go in with lower expectations and you’ll be extremely happy!

Did not delivered what was described in the website

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house did not have the air conditioner and hot tub that were promised in the website and they just told me this when I arrived at the house

Aloha, We apologize for any inconvenience caused as we worked hard to get these amenities working for your stay. We do have parts on order, unfortunately shipping times take a while longer to Hawai than they do on the mainland & this should be fixed soon. AC is working in Kitchen and guest bedrooms.
