Great Location!!

Buyer beware

I loved being at the beach in Delaware and spending time with cousins and their families. The rental unit managers really need to do their due diligence and decommission this unsafe unit from rotation.

Needs Major Updates

This unit needs serious renovation. I felt like I was living in the 60s again. New flooring, furniture and TV is needed. Dryer door would not shut. I could go on but be warned.

Convenient but dated

The location was great, close to a pool and tram stop. Furniture, stove and dishwasher are a bit tired. Bedroom was nice, bed comfortable enough but the pillows were awful. No support at all. AC was great, nice deck but this is a spot for two people max. The kitchen was adequately equipped. The coffee pot died and it took the office two days to replace. Not acceptable. A repair person stopped to check the dishwasher due to a previous renters concern. He declared it old but working. I used it the next day and yes it produced clean dishes but also flooded the kitchen floor. Again called the office to let them know. We enjoyed our stay but wouldn’t rent this unit again. We did book this in late June when few units were available.

AC issues

We rented this lovely clean one bedroom condo but unfortunately there was no real working AC in the bedroom because we were told there was only vent and therefore it could not produce the same amount of cooling and ventilation in the living room which has 4 vents. The only solution they could provide was giving us fans to improve the ventilation. Given the price of this rental and my experience staying at sea colony at many different of the residences I had never experienced this type of issue and this was highly disappointing. The hopes are when one goes away on vacation is to have a comfortable stay especially when temperatures are over 90 degrees most days. I do not recommend if you are expecting that there will be adequate cooling in the bedroom.

Wir waren in dem Ferienhaus für 3 Nächte und sind froh, dass es vorbei ist. Leider haben wir die Bewertungen anderer Gäste zu spät gelesen.Das Haus ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen, 70 er Jahre Style. Was nicht so schlimm wäre, wenn es ordentlich in Stand gesetzt und nicht so lieblos wäre. Ein modriger Geruch, Flecken an den Wänden und an der Decke...die Terrassenmöbel (ein Tisch und 4 Stühle) komplett zugerosstet, bewegt man sie, läuft rosstiges Wasser raus. Kein Sonnenschirm oder irgendeine Deko vorhanden.Das Haus selbst wurde nicht gründlich gereinigt, Spinnweben, Spinnen und Dreck war in jeder Ecke zu finden und die Spülmaschine war noch voll. Die Handtücher waren bis auf ein paar Ausnahmen, nicht wirklich sauber und auf einem befanden sich tote Tiere. Das Bett wird lediglich von einer Holzplatte und 3 Holzpflöcken gestützt (wenn diese nicht richtig liegen, stürzt es ein und es muss neu justiert werden).Die Lichter funktionieren nicht alle und die Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer ist scheinbar blockiert. Man muss die Tür zum Wohnzimmer auflassen.Preis- Leistung stimmt bei weitem nicht. Ich finde es schade und auch ärgerlich, dass dieses Haus so immer noch vermietet wird und man nur an Profit denkt. Ich hoffe, dass die Vermieter ein Einsehen haben und wenigstens mal einen Teil ihrer Einnahmen in die Renovierung investieren.

Sea Colony 4003

Wir waren jetzt das 2. Mal in dem Sea Colony Komplex. Es ist wirklich gut gelegen, man kann vieles zu Fuß erreichen. Auf dem Gelände gibt es sehr viele Sachen, die man nutzen kann, wie z.B Außen- und Innenpool, Tennisanlage, Fitnessstudio. Allerdings war dieses Mal die Wohneinheit, Haus 4003 wirklich schlecht. Die Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer funktioniert nicht und es wird nachts recht warm im Zimmer, man muss die Tür zum Wohnzimmer auflassen, so wird es erträglicher. Das Bett besteht aus Holzlatten und einem Stück Holz als Unterlage. Als wir am ersten Abend ins Bett gingen, hatten sich die Holzlatten verschoben, sodass die Matratze auf den Boden fiel. Man muss also aufpassen, dass die Latten richtig liegen. Bei unserer Ankunft fanden wir das Haus in einem schmutzigen Zustand vor, einschließlich des Geschirrs im Geschirrspüler, das vom Vormieter übrig geblieben war. Die Wände sind voller Flecken , Spinnen und Spinnweben in den Ecken. Es gab nur eine Keramiktasse, ansonsten musste man Kaffee aus Plastikbechern trinken. Wir stellten außerdem fest, dass mehrere Handtücher, die zur Verfügung gestellt wurden, schmutzig waren. In einem waren sogar tote Tiere. Die Terrasse bietet Stühle und einen Tisch, diese sind jedoch rostig, und es gibt keinen Sonnenschirm. Alles in Allem ist dieses Haus sehr in die Jahre gekommen und bedürfte einer Renovierung. Vielleicht auch etwas liebevolle Pflege und die ein oder andere Deko. Es ist schade, dass hier scheinbar der Fokus auf Profit liegt und (so scheint es zumindest), das Wohl und der Erholungsfaktor der Kunden egal ist. Preis- Leistungsfaktor ist definitiv mangelhaft. Wir sind von diesem Aufenthalt mehr als enttäuscht, da wir letztes Jahr in einem anderen Sea Colony Haus übernachtet haben und gesehen haben, dass es auch anders geht.

Ce logement est bien situé dans Sea Colony. Proche de la plage 10mn de marche et proche du Tennis...

Par contre quelques enjeux au niveau des équipements ! Machine à laver le linge difficile à faire démarrer , lave vaisselle coule , l’évier de la salle de bain ne s’écoulait pas bien et était bouché à la fin du séjour , nous en avait fait la remarque à la réception mais rien n’a vraiment été fait pour corriger la situation

Bethany Beach at Sea Colony

The condo was smaller than I imagined; Could use better lighting . Extremely tiny bathroom . Generally clean - except for dust cobwebs , dirty oven , dirty lawn furniture and deck , stained and very outdated toilet and tub . A/C very loud but worked. Toilet made noise all night long - seemed to be a dripping sound then periodic water filling …On plus side : many amenities that Sea Colony offers : use of beach, pools, fitness center, active tennis program , pleasant landscaping… Would have been helpful to have beach chairs and beach umbrella available. Shed was locked . Would enjoy staying at Sea Colony in future in. larger more updated unit

Great location!!

This condo was great for me, my husband and two year old. My only complaint is that the (only) bathroom is in the bedroom, so it was an obstacle during nap. Also the washer/dryer are in the bedroom too, so when the dryer runs the bedroom gets pretty warm. The bed was comfy but a squeaked a bit whenever you moved around (again not a big deal if my toddler was not sleeping in the same room). The toilet also had a few minor issues- it flushed but was delayed a bit and the seat creaked when you sat on it. Again, all of this is minor, but wanted to share. The back porch/deck was great- furniture could be updated a bit though! And the location is super close to the beach, so that was nice! We loved this spot and will definitely be back!

Well-maintained, clean & perfect for 3 people. The amenities at Sea Colony are endless & well worth the $40 (peak season) per person. Highly recommend this property if you have a small group!

not fancy, but sufficient

Great location within walking distance to the beach and the boardwalk. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Place was very small, but clean. The front door, kitchen drawers, and back shed need to be fixed. Never did get connected to the internet. Furnishings are old, outdated and need to be replaced. AC worked, but bedroom temps got very stuffy. Wish we had brought a fan.

Place was nice and clean. Small unit but close to pool, market and beach. Needs a new mattress on sofa bed, but other in main bedroom was great. Kitchen was well stocked.
