Perched on the lush hillsides of Coral Bay, Astral Villa is where warm tropical breezes and absolutely stunning down-island views create the ultimate private island experience.

The villa features three ensuite bedrooms across two separate pavilions, giving couples or families plenty of space and privacy. Two couples will find ample separation, while a third couple or families with older children will appreciate the independent sleeping quarters alongside welcoming communal spaces for meals and gatherings. Shaded reading nooks, sun-drenched patios, and expansive decks mean there’s always a perfect spot for everyone.

Flexible tiered pricing makes Astral Villa especially couple-friendly—you’ll always have the entire property to yourselves, but we won’t charge for bedrooms you don’t use. It’s a dream setting for honeymooners, babymooners, anniversary trips, or anyone seeking a romantic escape.

Though Coral Bay is known as the “quieter” side of St. John, you’ll still find charming shops, laid-back restaurants, and well-stocked markets just minutes away. A scenic 10-minute drive brings you to the island’s world-famous beaches.

Astral Villa blends traditional West Indian charm with understated elegance. From sunrise coffee on your private patio to sunset cocktails by the saltwater pool, every hour offers a new palette of Caribbean colors. At night, let the tropical breezes, starlit skies, and magical moonrises work their spell—best enjoyed from one of the villa’s two whirlpool spas.

Food lovers will enjoy the well-equipped kitchen and new grill. Pick up fresh fish at Calabash Market or greens from Josephine’s farm stand, and enjoy dining under the stars. Champagne optional. 🥂

And yes—the first drive up the hill is a little adventurous, but once you see the view from Calabash Mountain, you’ll know it was more than worth it. After that, it’ll feel like second nature.

Astral Villa has awesome views from every spot on the property! The villa has the perfect layout for three couples (family or friends) with plenty of comfortable shared space.Make sure to feed the Bananaquits, they won’t disappoint.Return trip a must!

Incredible!

We just returned from our week-long trip to St John and cannot stop talking about how incredible it was to stay at Astral Villa! The location, the views, the amenities were all exactly what we had hoped for. Having a comfortable and well-appointed villa to come home to after each busy day of hiking, snorkeling, beach-hopping, etc. was perfect for us (two adult couples). We would love to stay at Astal Villa again the next time we visit St John.

St. John - A little paradise

We just came back after spending whole week on St. John in Astral Villa. What a location! The views are simply breathtaking. The villa is very cozy, equipped with all conveniences. Beautiful, tranquil villa

Our stay at Astral Villa was wonderful! Beautiful settings of three suites with unique views. A pool at perfect temperature to cool off and two hot tubs for night-time star gazing. They have all amenities that you could ever need and there is a great grocery store right down the hill. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to come back again

Breathtaking views

Words cannot express how beautiful this property is. Views from the hill overlooking Coral Bay are stunning from the patio and every indoor space. Beautifully appointed, stocked with everything you could want. Feels like a private oasis just minutes away from beautiful beaches and Coral Bay hotspots. Our family loved our time here and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful Stay in Paradise

We had a fantastic family trip at Astral Villa! It was beautiful, peaceful and a ton of fun. We loved being on the quieter Coral Bay side of the island, but activities (Lime Out, dinghy rental, hikes and beaches), as well as the market, were very close and accessible. Please note that it is open air, which was a little challenging for our "lock the doors at night" family, and the drive up is a bit white-knuckle the first couple times. It's completely worth it for the lovely, peaceful stay!

Incredible Villa / Experience

We had an amazing week at the villa, the pictures or my reviews won't do it justice. The views and villa are amazing, making it hard to leave to explore the island. The villa is completely secluded and offers a welcomed retreat from our daily hustle and bustle. The hosts were incredibly nice and responsive, Bob was the best and was always available. This will be the only place we want to stay on St. John, already dreaming of our next trip back.

Amazing place

Our stay at Astral Villa was amazing. Morning sunrises are spectacular, as is watching the moon rise in the evening. We stargazed from the hot tub. It feels like you're in your own secluded Caribbean paradise, with buildings surrounded by nature. The kitchen is very well stocked and there are countless details from the stonework, to the hammocks that elevate this property. I miss it already! Thank you for letting us stay.

Beautiful Villa

We totally enjoyed our stay in this total open air Villa. The view is unbeatable and the gardens around the Villa are the prettiest. We also loved the hermit crabs and geckos and iguanas. We fondly called it our Treehouse Villa. Bob was helpful and prompt without feeling intrusive. This Villa is tastefully decorated. We were very comfortable no matter where we relaxed on this property. Would highly recommend this villa.

Slice of Paradise

My husband and I just spent a week at this stunning property. It’s hard to find words to adequately convey the beauty and sense of peace we experienced during our visit. We did a little bit of venturing out, but for the most part, totally enjoyed staying put trying to drink in the beauty this place envelops you in. The house is stocked with anything and everything you could possible need or want. We highly recommend Astral Villa - you just cant get any better in my opinion!

Paradise with a view

Astral Villa was absolutely perfect for us group of 5 friends (2 couples, one single)! Each couple or individual had their own private suite with breathtaking views over the bay, and even when some USVI-related power outages hit on the first day, the breeze from being at the top of the hill and the swimming pool kept us cool. The house is extremely well-apportioned, with all the kitchen gadgets, guide books, games, puzzles, and sound systems you could need. The local artwork in every room is a really nice touch, and the villa is literally surrounded by flowers of every shape and color, transporting you into a private garden of eden. I am already dreaming of going back.

Nature abounds and dreamy views

Spectacular views, beautiful landscaping and privacy were the heart and soul of this fabulous property. The decor was perfect and my family was so impressed that I had found the perfect spot for our vacation :-) It was so hard to leave this place. We loved the beautiful nature surrounding us each day. My family looked forward to coming back to the villa each afternoon after visiting the beaches. The pool at sunset was one of our favorites. Close proximity to some great local restaurants and market was also a plus! Great communication with the owner and property manager who provided tips and helpful information to make our stay a breeze. We already want to plan a return trip in the near future!

Most beautiful view

The view from every patio, window and porch is stunning! The kitchen is well equipped and grocery store is close by at the base of the hill. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding and linens fresh and nice quality. The interactions with host and property manager were prompt, pleasant and helpful. The instructions prior to stay were clear and made the stay go smoothly. The drive to the villa requires 4wd. We had a Ford Explorer to fit our group but would have been easier in a Jeep. Recommend the Jeep rental if possible.

Perfect week in Coral Bay

Astral Villa was by far the most beautiful property we have ever been lucky enough to vacation at. The views were spectacular, the house was open-air, understated and beautiful -- a perfect island retreat. We loved the separate bedrooms, with a large living, dining and kitchen area to spend time together. The house was super clean, and the kitchen really well appointed. It was also great to have the market right at the end of the street, and a sufficient number of restaurants nearby that we could eat on our way home from the beaches. Both the hostess and the property manager were incredibly helpful before, during and after our stay. The only problem was that eventually we had to leave! We would stay again in a heart beat. Thank you, thank you!

Came for the 8 Tuff - what a beautiful place!

Astral Villa is spectacular - it is beautifully designed and decorated - we absolutely loved it. Getting there is an adventure - but that’s true for most really beautiful places. This was our first time staying on Coral Bay and we loved it. You definitely need a Jeep to get around, but there are plenty of local restaurants and markets that are close by (Johnny Lime’s, Pizza in Paradise, Skinny Legs etc.) We also discovered Francis Bay and Hansen Bay this trip - two beautiful beaches that are worth a visit. We had a chef come cook dinner at our villa two nights - that was really special. It’s such a gorgeous location - having dinner cooked for us at the Villa was really a treat. I loved the open air design of the villa and having the communal area to gather in. We will definitely be back - Astral Villa is a special place!

Amazing!

Absolutely amazing! Pictures do not capture the beauty of Astral Villa. Our family of six had the best time. The natural beauty is breathtaking. There is so much to do in this little pocket of paradise. We hiked Rams head, chartered a boat to snorkel in remote areas, snorkeled/swam at the local beaches with evenings enjoying open mic at nearby restaurants. Although that being said, we could have stayed at Astral Villa with the spectacular views, space to relax and read, two kitchens, hot tub and pool. The spacious accommodations are magnificent, impeccably clean, with attention to details you can’t help but appreciating -all you could need and more. First class all the way!! Thanks for an unforgettable vacation!

Just Wonderful

Astral Villa is a fabulous home, with gorgeous views and comforts everywhere. The house is beautifully designed and built, with lovely functional furniture, a well-equipped kitchen and lots of private and communal space. We loved the resident hermit crabs and occasional iguana. Claudia's communication was excellent and appreciated. Be aware of steep, windy roads and driveway. It took us a while, but we acclimated and ultimately figured out how to get both our jeeps in and out of the driveway. An unexpected but ultimately challenging and fun aspect to our overall wonderful week there.

Dream Villa!

Although Ernesto came sweeping in during our stay, we didn't let that dampen our good times! Astral Villa is like something out of a dream! The views are outstanding, almost surreal, and the design of the property allows guests privacy while also having the ability to gather together for meals, games, and fun in and around the pool. The close proximity to Coral Bay is also a huge plus, as it doesn't take long to shoot down to the markets on the main drag. The beaches like Trunk, Cinnamon, and Maho are not too far away, and you can stop at Colombo's for a coffee/smoothie on the way! Astral Villa is a special place that we won't ever forget. Comfortable, clean, and surrounded by nature. It's hard to go back to normal sleep after having the frogs and company serenade you to dreamland! Special shoutout to Claudia and company for helping us through the tropical storm! Above and beyond! We will be back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ASTRAL VILLA. 6 stars out of 5!

A Slice of Heaven

After unfortunate delays, our family finally made it to Astral Villa for the Fourth of July week. On arrival, the property was lush, the villa looked just what we hoped it would. Then we went to the patio edge overlooking Coral Bay. The stunning view made all of us silent. What followed was a week of relaxation, family bonding, and discovery of another beautiful place that is part of our country. We looked for an accommodation closer to a beach but landed on Astral Villa high above Coral Bay. We had to load up to head to the water, but that was a blessing. We explored over ten beaches during our stay, some crowded, some less so. Retreating to Astral Villa after each day in the sun, the solitude and quiet was something we relished. The villa is very well appointed with everything from nice linens to dinnerware. The grounds are the way an island garden should look. Each bedroom is perfectly private with polished bathrooms. Book it....before we do....

Gorgeous Open Air Villa with Stunning Views

We stayed at the Astral Villa for one week in February for a family vacation (5 adults). With the three large bedrooms with individual bathrooms we had plenty of privacy. The common space kitchen/living area was perfect for dinner and hanging out. Numerous patios, sitting areas, hot tubs x2, pool, and the large dining table made socializing easy. Everything was incredibly clean and the gardens well manicured. The place came with bluetooth speakers for indoors and out. The kitchen was well stocked. The Weber gas grill was well maintained and came with nice grilling utensils. We grilled the catch of the day (grouper, mahi, etc.) from the Calabash market for multiple dinners. The property has no other houses around it and is incredibly private. There were a ton of hummingbirds, bananaquits, iguanas, and hermit crabs around the property - very cool. The house comes with coolers, ice packs, beach chairs, towels, and tents for a perfect beach day. As per the description, the road up to the property and driveway are steep, but our 4x4 SUV handled it quite well. The owner and property manager were very responsive. The property manager will meet you on arrival and show you around the Villa. He is incredibly responsive and helped coordinate our provisioning order. We highly recommend this property and will come back!

We are beyond lucky to have an amazing property manager who has lived on St John for many decades, who knows the villa inside and out, and who is familiar with all things St John. And on the off-chance that something needs attention while you’re here, he lives in the Calabash 'hood and will have it all under control in no time. Not all villas have such close and personal management, and he sets us apart from other villas in our opinion, truly.
