Guests will have the whole house, swimming pool and our beautiful sprawling landscape all to themselves!

Bedroom 2: King Bed, master suite & luxury bath, 2nd floor (sleeps 2)
Bedroom 3: King bed, private bath, 2nd floor (sleeps 2)
Bedroom 4: Queen bed, private bath, 2nd floor (sleeps 2)
Bedroom 5: Queen bed, shared bath, 3rd floor (sleeps 2)

All bedrooms are equipped with smart televisions

Kitchen:
Large, sunlit gourmet chef’s kitchen with doors that open to the garden. Our kitchen is well appointed with pots, pans and serving dishes, mugs, glasses, and dishes for 12 people to all eat together.
There is a Nespresso coffee machine, as well as a standard drip coffee maker.
Our top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances include a large refrigerator, freezer, oven, 6-burner gas range and microwave.


What's provided:
We like to think of ourselves as a 'home away from home', supplying all the things you need for a memorable stay with friends, family and/or colleagues.

-All towels and linens, a variety of tea and cooking basics
-Toilet paper and paper towel rolls
-Liquid soap at all sinks. Please bring your preferred toiletries.
-A house hairdryer is available for use.

-The light and airy Great Room has an oversized stone fireplace as it’s centerpiece, vaulted ceilings, radiant marble floors and large windows.
-Views of the Sheepscot River and downtown Wiscasset on the veranda.
-Private, outdoor pool
-Tea house with fireplace and wifi

-Walking trails across the 43 acre estate
- Walkable railroad track that runs right into town (use at your own risk)

-Plenty of parking in the front yard.

-Local shops and restaurants in Wiscasset are just 5 minutes away by car. The world famous, as seen on The Food Network, Red’s Eats, for the best lobster roll in Maine. Enjoy waterfront dining with panoramic views and a cozy atmosphere at Water Street Kitchen and Bar.

-When the home is not rented it is used as a private residence to the property owner and his family.
*The barn, pantry and master suite closet will be locked and out of bounds to guests.*

Absolutely stunning property - the photos don’t do it justice! We had 6 groups coming together for a college reunion and found plenty of space to convene, eat (inside and out), and hang out in groups large and small. Would 100% come back again - in fact, we’re talking about doing this again next year!! Thank you to David and Alexandra for an amazing stay

A great place to stay for our family of 11. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes other kitchen needs. There were plenty of spices to use. The house was very clean and close to the attractions we wanted to see.

The White House is awesome

If you are looking for a large property to share with a large family or group of friends, the White House is perfect. The location is great and the views from the deck and yard are fantastic. The large rolling lawn is beautiful. Pool was a great added asset. The house itself is highly functional for a group of 12. We hosted a family reunion there, with other family members staying in the vicinity. This house with its swimming pool, beautiful great room and a very large, separate rec room were all prefect to serve as our central hub during our stay.

50th anniversary celebration

The home is spacious with many different places to sit. The kitchen is a beautiful room and the primary place we gathered when the whole group was together .The property and view are beautiful and again there are many opportunities for privacy or group enjoyment. We had a total of 9 guests. We occupied 5 befrooms. Each bedroom was bery attractive

Perfect Midcoast Wedding Weekend

We hosted out of town family & friends for a wedding weekend on the beautiful grounds of the White House. The owner could not have been friendlier, more responsive, or more accommodating. The pride he takes in this historic property was evident in every detail. The house held many antique furnishings, yet was comfortable & welcoming. The massive & well equipped kitchen with generous refrigerator & freezer space made entertaining our out of town guests a breeze. The kids enjoyed lawn games in the yards, s’mores around the fire pit & splashing in the giant heated pool. The conservatory and rolling lawns leant themselves to a magical & memorable rehearsal dinner with the full moon reflecting on the Sheepscott River. There was plenty of outdoor seating scattered around the lushly landscaped yards, patio & porch. The White House was definitely a highlight of everyone’s weekend in the quaint village of Wiscasset, Maine. I can highly recommend…it’s the perfect spot for a smaller event or family reunion get-away.

Quintessential Maine

The house was largely historic and charming with beautifully landscaped gardens. Furthermore, modern updates and additions allowed for familiar conveniences and comfort . The view of the river habor was fantastic. We enjoyed many lawn games on the expansive lawns. A walk into town was slightly adventurous but fun. Wiscasset is well positioned in Maine for several day trips. On whole, my family had a terrific stay at The White House!

Alexandra and John have been hosting vacation rentals all over the world since 2015. Their hosting journey began in Valparaiso, Chile where they lived and hosted backpackers for over a year. They then moved onto New Zealand and finally landed in Maine. They hosted out of their spare bedrooms in their private home for three years before moving onto larger rental properties in Linconville and Wiscasset. No matter where you're traveling from, your vacation is in good hands!
