Location is 1 mile from Mount Princeton Hot Springs & Spa, 2 miles from Mt Princeton Stables Horseback Riding, 10 miles to Buena Vista, 10 miles to St Elmo Ghost Town, 20 miles to Salida, 37 miles to Monarch Ski area, 155 miles to Denver International, and within convenient driving distance of many other outdoor summer and winter activities including White Water Rafting, Kayaking, Fly Fishing, Hiking, Horseback riding, Mountain Biking, Hot Springs, Water Slide, Skiing, Snowmobiling. Golf, Bird Watching & more

Home features: Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, propane heat, large turnaround driveway parking for 2 vehicles, towels & linens provided; flat-screen TV with DVD/VHS and collection of DVD's or bring your own, ceiling fans, deck chairs, and complimentary toiletries. The Basement is limited to use only by Housekeeping for supply storage and laundry. Water is supplied by a private well on the property - from time to time it can have a mineral taste so feel free to bring bottled water if you prefer.

Great Place & Beautiful location

Everything was as shown in listing. Very clean and owner was quick to respond to a question we had. We were attending a wedding at Mt Princeton Resort and this was a short 5 minute drive away. Would definitely stay again!

Incredible View

This property has the most incredible view. I could sit on the deck all day long and just look at the mountains. It is the biggest plus to this property. This property had 2 twin beds that were hard as rocks. I had read about it in other reviews, but wasn't convinced until I actually tried sleeping on them. I slept on one and then the other hoping for comfort. If you like extra firm this is the bed for you. Thankfully the upstairs loft has 2 more beds that were much more comfortable. This place met all our needs and we would stay there again.

Gorgeous, Clean Cabin

The cabin was beautiful and the views were breathtaking. Very clean and spacious with everything we needed. There is no washer and dryer though but thankfully we brought enough clothes and there were plenty of towels that we didn’t need it. Perfect location in the mountains with easy access to Buena Vista and short drive to Salida. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing view!!

We go to Colorado every summer and stay in a VRBO cabin somewhere, usually different areas. One of main features we look for in a cabin is view, and I can honestly say that this cabin has the best view we've ever experienced! If you want a peaceful, out of the way place with a breathtaking view, this is your spot!! However, the cabin itself, while in a perfect location, wasn't perfect. No dishwasher, no clothes washer or dryer, and the upstairs bathroom was designed with an Oompa Loompa in mind. Also, and this was a big disappointment, no outside BBQ grill. Other than that, the place was awesome, we would stay again!

Lovely Mountain Getaway

Beautiful secluded property in the mountains. It was the perfect location for getting out of the city but convenient if we needed to go into town to get something. The view couldn't be beat. Instructions were clear. There was no air conditioning which wasn't a problem most of the time. A ceiling fan in the bedroom would have been nice. Fantastic place to stay. Owner/property manager were super easy to work with too.

First I’d like thank them for their kindness and swift responses to my messages. My wife is pregnant and was not doing well the first day we checked in, however we couldn’t check in until 4. They let us check in way before check in time so she could rest after a very bad morning of morning sickness. I can’t say thank you enough for caring for someone you don’t even know. The cabin was very comfortable, had everything we needed from towels to pots and pans to cook, blankets, WiFi etc… the view from the living room Is better in person than the pics they have posted online. We saw many mule deer who enjoyed coming around the cabin in the morning. It’s extremely dark around the cabin so star gazing is a must! So many shooting stars. It’s very peaceful & quiet but only 10-15 minutes from the nearest town which has everything you could need ( gas, food, stores, laundromat , coffee shops ). We greatly enjoyed our time here and are already talking about coming back next year with more family members and friends! This cabin is close to many things… white water rafting, atv tours, hot springs, fly fishing , and more. You’d be wise to book this cabin over others in the area!

Best Mountain View

The mountain views from this home are unbelievably beautiful. The homeowners built the home in the perfect spot! We thoroughly enjoyed taking walks on the expansive property. The home has a lot of privacy but is still part of a neighborhood and not far from Buena Vista or Salida. The whole experience was better than we imagined and we feel so fortunate to have found it. Thank you for sharing this amazing home and acreage.

Beautiful views from a spectacular remote location

We had a wonderful time enjoy the nearby hot springs, hiking trails, and wildlife. I highly recommend this location to anyone that wants a spectacular view with easy access to all the outdoor activities.

Very clean,well appointed,view even better than expected,very private. Only suggestion would be a washer & dryer & a bed big enough that I could sleep in the same bed with my wife.No fireplace a bit unusual & no dishwasher. overall very nice & we would definitely stay here again

Wonderful experience

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The view was awesome. We did side by side riding in the mountains so had trucks and rigs. The parking was just what we needed. No complaints for this stay!

Tranquility, Peaceful, and Beautiful

If you enjoy looking at the stars and total peaceful experience this is perfect. Really enjoyed our stay with several day trips and hikes locally. Liked the new 5G wifi system that was installed. Suggest taking your own HDMI cord if you are a sports fan for streaming. Kitchen had everything we needed for preparing our meals without eating out. Only thing I would have liked better is a gas grill outside but isn't allowed. Spending time in Buena Vista and eating lunch next to the river rapids, or Taylor Park Reservoir was enjoyable. Previous reviews complained about how hot the cabin was, but with some management of the blinds and shutting the rooms up after cooling off with fans overnight, wasn't a issue downstairs. Great Communication by Tracie before check in and timely info on access before arriving. Thanks was a great experience.

Beautiful home.

Enjoyed , except we called to let Tracey know on tuesday evening that we were out of trash bags and toilet paper and no reply. Also, there needs to be more fans, I had to bring the one from upstairs to downstairs every night and day, due to the temperature being 86 degrees.

Stunning View, off grid location

This cabin was a mixed bag for us. It was very hot the week were there (mid July) and very difficult to cool down the cabin in the late afternoon when we arrived. The huge windows allow for an amazing view, but also have a hot house effect on the cabin. There were lots of fans blowing on high to try to cool it down, but it was a challenge. The people who slept in the loft were hot all night long, but the lower level was cool. Our four year old slept fine in the downstairs bedroom, but for me, the other twin bed was super uncomfortable, so I slept on the couch. There is no Wi-Fi, which we knew ahead of time, but we also couldn't get any cell service with Verizon. Apparently T Mobile works up there, just fyi. That was okay, just need renters to be aware of that. The view from the deck is amazing, the stars at night were incredible. Getting to and from the cabin wasn't bad, about 20 minutes into Buena Vista. I tried twice to reach Tracie, the manager, but never heard back from her, so not sure what was going on there. The cabin was clean, had a magnificent view, was well situated for the area, but was very difficult to cool it down from the heat of the summer.

Sister's Retreat

The bed I got was hard and squeeky, but not enough of a problem to tank a rating. The clean towels had some one else's hair wrapped up in them. Pretty gross but I just shook out the rest of them before using. We were a little bummed that the hot springs advertiezwd near us were essentially pupblic pools. But again, not enough to still not enjoy ourselves. Loved the house, loved the view loved the experience with my sisters. Thank you for hosting us!
