River Beachfront- Spacious Dog & Family Friendly 3 Bedroom Home on Shared Beach

This immaculate home (recently built in 2015) sits right on a huge sandy beach on peninsula jutting into the Rappahannock River where it joins with the Chesapeake Bay. It's on "Mosquito Point," but don't worry-- the breeze here prevents any kind of invasion from mosquitos! The beach is less than a one minute walk from the back door, and in between you'll find a gas fire pit, propane Weber grill, picnic table, Adirondack chairs and everything you need to enjoy the outside no matter the temperature.

Inside, the sun-drenched rooms (that also have blinds if you want them, don't worry!) have gorgeous views of either the Rappahannock River or the Bay and the furniture/ decor is updated and inviting. The upgraded gourmet kitchen is perfect for novices and chefs alike. We love the second story porch with a breeze and views in all directions. You can enjoy your coffee watching the sunrise over the Bay and your wine watching the sunset over the Rappahannock. Enjoy the natural setting as you see osprey, bald eagles, deer, pods of porpoises or even a red fox now and then. For those that enjoy more action, the ocean sized beach beckons for swimming, kayaking, fishing, crabbing, sand castle building or boating. Additionally, enjoy the leisure of walking the country roads, playing corn hole, board games or enjoy the numerous intimate spaces to reconnect with your friends and family.

There is... drumroll please... a king bed in the master suite on the first floor plus another king bed in the master suite on the second floor, a bedroom with two queen beds, a bedroom with two bunkbeds, a futon that turns into a full sized bed PLUS two sleeper pull-out sofas. The layout is open downstairs which makes it perfect for large gatherings (or for a family to keep an eye on all the kids as they play), but there is also the option to close off the cozy family room using the massive wooden barn doors and create an intimate space with the beautiful gas fireplace. We have WiFi!

***Please note: this house is in a lovely, family-friendly neighborhood. It's a whole vibe. :) While we own the beach at the end of our property, a few of the neighbors have deeded access to it. Please respect their right to be there, and also please be wary of the sign marking our next-door neighbor's property, as theirs does not share deeded access with us. Please also be mindful of noise as we don't want to upset our awesome neighbors!***

We had a wonderful week at this property! Home was very spacious with a lot of room to spread out. The en-suite bathrooms were great. King bed in master bedroom was very comfy. Plenty of towels were provided. Kitchen could use some more linens and maybe a scrubbing pad. The only concern was the cleanliness of the property and the back deck could use some repairs. Maybe add a nozzle to the hose so people can spray off sand before entering the home.The beach was perfect for the little ones and old ones alike. Lots of room to roam and no one within sight. Very private! It was a little cool the week we were there so we did not get to enjoy the beach as much as we would have liked. Biting black flies were a problem most of the week. We bought a fly trap and some bug spray with 40% deet which seemed to help. It was a great week spent with family!Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

We had a wonderful vacation. The house is amazing, offering everything you’d need for a relaxing yet enjoyable time on the beach. We had 8 people in our family group (3 kiddos) and there was more than enough room for everyone. We cooked and enjoyed meals in the kitchen. The hosts were responsive, making check in so easy.

This was our first time visiting the Northern Neck and it won't be the last. From the moment we arrived, it was pure relaxation. The views we amazing and water views from every angle. There were peaceful sounds of nature and zero traffic noise. We enjoyed every quiet moment, even saw a Bald Eagle sitting on the beach while I drank my early morning coffee. The house itself far exceeded our expectations. It was incredibly spacious, clean, and thoughtfully laid out, every window offered a water view. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unplug and recharge.

Superb location

Great property. Can't beat the location. Superb communication and check in process. Wish we could have had better weather as it was cloudy and raining most of our stay. Great place for a large family. We only had 3 people so lots of room for us.

Spacious home in a very nice neighborhood.

Overall it is a nice place to stay. It has all the amenities needed. Good size house with a cool beach area. Enough places nearby for meal out and stores to get groceries for food for the house.

Overall great stay!

You can’t beat the location, just steps away from the beach. Perfect for a few families with little ones! We each had plenty of space with separate bedrooms. Communication with owner was very smooth. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the house could use an overall facelift (furniture/rugs seem a bit dated). I may not have noticed this if I didn’t have little babies crawling around the floor. However, the price is right, and it did not take away from our experience. I would stay here again.

Tranquility on the Bay!

Comfy and lovely spacious Home with plenty of inside and outside entertainment areas. Great for Families, Kiddos, Dogs to just get away from the normal stress of life. Hosts were very accommodating and house is as advertised. Quaint small towns nearby if you want to get out for a nice dinner or stroll. Would highly recommend and hope to return. Other than some jellyfish keeping us out of the water most days, the Private Beach was a slice of tranquility!

White Stone Vacation

We loved the house - plenty of room and very close to restaurants, groceries, attractions, etc. We saw a variety of wildlife ranging from dolphins to box turtles. We did also have some jelly fish and biting flies, but the flies at least left us alone as soon as the breeze picked up. The sunsets were incredible!! The fenced in yard was ideal for our dogs, and the house was perfect for kids, as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

Family Vacation in White Stone

We stayed here with our family and it was a great house. The location is awesome! Right on the water and just a short walk out to the private beach. Only saw jellyfish on our last day there after a big storm the previous day. We went to the town of White Stone and Kilmarnick and both were very nice and charming. We would go back to this house again!

Wonderful location!

This is a comfortable house in a wonderful waterfront location. The fireplace is nice, and the grill on the porch is a very good one. We could not get the firepit to work, but it looks like it would be fun, too. There are lightweight chairs to take to the beach for sunset cocktails, which is one of the highlights of a stay here.

Great location, had 10 adults in the house but plenty of room and bathrooms! Mattresses a bit firm but overall bedrooms were great. Had a bit of issue with cleaning service but owners responsive and really not a big deal.

Great stay on the water

The listing description and pics are accurate. It’s in a very peaceful, fairly remote location. We enjoyed the small town feel. It was quiet and the neighbors were friendly. There was a kayak and paddle board available but we brought our own kayak. There were plenty of towels and sheets that were clean. Opening the shades provided lots of sunshine and amazing views of the water from different areas of the house and there was a short fence around most of the property so we could let the dog loose there. The water had more current than I realized but I don’t know if that was due to the weather when we were there and there were jellyfish in the water to be wary of (late august) but no biting flies. We were able to catch crabs in the water. It’s a large property that could use a little landscaping. The owners were very communicative. Oh, the dryer worked and we thought the beds were comfortable. All in all a wonderful stay.

Location!

The property location was excellent, right on the water. Quiet neighborhood. There were 9 of us and the house had plenty of room. That being said, we did have concerns about how well the property had been cleaned. Also, there were not enough towels but luckily one of us came a day late and was able to bring towels. We were able to contact the property manager easily to correct this. He was very concerned and after a couple of hiccups, it was solved. We enjoyed our stay. If you like seafood, try J&W Seafood in Deltaville. Great crab cakes!

We are originally from Charleston, SC and Alexandria, VA; we now have four water-loving children who enjoy spending time on the calm sandy beaches of the Rappahannock. This house is a great place to escape and get away from the craziness of the world. We work with a FABULOUS property manager, Gleason Hollingsworth at Country ~ River, and she will be your primary point of contact for your stay!

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We love the whole Northern Neck, but the particular area of White Stone called to us because of the proximity to the Chesapeake Bay and the gorgeous open water. We have family that honeymooned here decades ago, and we've always loved the idea of raising our kids to love the tidewater region of Virginia. White Stone does not disappoint! (Also: the oysters from the Rappahannock are SERIOUSLY the best in the world.) It’s a beautiful, calm part of the world. We often see cool wildlife like horseshoe crabs, dolphins, ospreys, and herons from the upper porch!

We were struck by the width of the sandy beach here. We didn't know properties on the Northern Neck had such big beaches! This house is special because of its proximity to the Rivah, but also its location right on Mosquito Point, where the Rappahannock meets the Chesapeake Bay. We frequently see dolphins in the summer, and they truly come right up to us-- it's absolutely surreal. This house has given our family of 6 (well, 7 if you include our doggy) so many happy memories. It was built 10 years ago but it's been so well taken care of that we just feel like it's fresh each time we get to go, and we hope you have the same experience! We want this to be a place our guests return to year after year, so if there is ANYTHING we can do to make your stay more comfortable, please don't hesitate to let us know.
