We loved staying at Casa Azure! The home is beautiful and the view is incredible! We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and the close proximity to a nice beach. The hosts are very kind and Curlson was incredibly knowledgeable and made many great suggestions. We will definitely come back to Casa Azure when we visit the island again!

St Thomas Family Vacation

House is in a great quiet location. The views are stunning!! House is exactly as described and has everything you need to be comfortable. Hot tub and pool are great to relax in after a day at beach. Restaurants are a close and fun drive near by. Would definitely come back if we are back to the island. Plenty to do and see all within short driving range from house.

Beautiful villa with stunning views

We had a wonderful time staying at this Villa. The pictures truly represent what is at this property. The views are stunning, you have privacy, the amenities are great and the property is located within a couple of miles to restaurants, beaches and the ferries to the other island. We would definitely stay at Casa Azure again.

Amazing

Absolutely amazing rental. They have everything you would want in a vacation house. Curlson and George are fantastic, the views are out of this world, the beach gear was top notch. Hopefully one day I can rent this place again!

Breathtaking Views and Everything You’ll Need

Just spent our 30th anniversary there and it was absolutely beautiful! The views everyday just from the porch were spectacular and breathtaking. The villa was clean, well taken care of and stocked with everything you’ll need including “off” bug spray for those evenings out on the deck. I highly recommend!

Casa Azure location was amazing.

The view and location was amazing and the owners were very informative prior to our visit. Everything was very clean. Our group had 6 adults in it and we had plenty of room to stretch out and have a leisure vacation. Only bad thing was the hot tub never got warm enough during the 5 days to get in.

Fantastic house and location

The property was perfect for our group of 7. Picture perfect views of the ocean, pool + hot tub, lots of room to relax both inside and outside on the patio. Curlson and Irene were great local hosts, we had everything we needed from a coffee grinder to beach towels and chairs. House in great working order, good WiFi (had to do some work), 5 stars top to bottom. We certainly plan to rent again when we visit St. Thomas again.

Family Vacation

My family, including my adult children and their significant others, stayed at Casa Azure and absolutely loved it. The property is great, the views are spectacular and relaxing, and the location is a combination of quiet and yet close to Red Hook for dinners out, groceries, fishing/cruises etc. The size of the place is great and let’s you spread out. Also very comfortable. Everything was as described in the listing. Ours hosts were great with communication from reservation to stay and leaving. No complaints! We would recommend!

What a view

The house was spectacular. Having the opportunity to wake up each morning to a wonderful view, was a dream. The house setup was perfect for my family. There are two bedrooms upstairs and an additional bedroom downstairs, next to the pool. The two bedrooms on the upper level are next to each other, but there is a door inside the master bedroom that leads you into a separate space to bring you to the front door, without having to go through the second bedroom. The house has every cooking tool and plenty of dishes, cups, utensils, etc, that you could possibly need. I would highly recommend this house. You will not be disappointed.

Great House for Family Vacation

This was our 2nd time to St Thomas and Cabrita Point. We had previously rented a house nearby. The location is great as are the amazing views. We arrived with 3 couples and an infant - 18 mos. As grandparents we stayed in one of the bedrooms upstairs with our son, DIL, and baby in the other bedroom upstairs. Our other son and wife stayed in the bedroom/apartment downstairs. This was a perfect setup for us as we didn't want the baby to have access to the pool - which is on the first floor. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed. Nice that there was coffee available and wine in the refrigerator. The house is located very close to 2 nice beaches (Secret Cove and Beach at Elysian Hotel) which were great for the baby. Secret Cove is great on windy days and is completely out of the wind. Hull Bay is another favorite beach of ours. We did take the ferry to St John twice which is super easy on the passenger ferry or car ferry. There are several very good restaurants within a mile of the house and in Redhook. All in all, the house is very good and in a very safe location.

Good, bad, and ugly

The good: First off, Wow! What a view. The home has every amenity one would need being away from home. The Bad: They layout is terrible if you are traveling as a family with small kids. One of the bedrooms is located on the bottom floor (says king bed but that's only the box spring and mattress... It's on a queen frame and it felt like sleeping in a taco) and is only accessable via outside and down some steps (you'd be leaving your kids alone to the main portion of the house) the other two bedrooms are connected so you either walk through the person's bedroom or take the narrow hallway that's used for beach toy storage. The ugly: The house is a duplex and the other owners had work crew there the entire time who started at 7am each morning. Overall we had a great trip as a family and the view and amenities helped us look past the bad and the ugly

Amazing home with great hosts

This house was everything we hoped it would be and more - both the house and the views are even more spectacular in person than the pictures here show! The hosts are very communicative and helpful. Within hours of booking our stay at Casa Azure, we received a welcome letter via email with suggestions for things to do around the island, recommendations of local businesses, and house rules. Bonnie called before and during our trip to make sure we didn't have any questions or problems. They made us feel very welcome in their beautiful home, and while we didn't have any issues while we were there, we felt much better knowing they were so accessible if something had come up. We used the pool and the hot tub daily, and you absolutely can't beat the view from that patio. We also made use of the beach chairs and umbrella which made our beach trips so convenient! The location is close to several great beaches, as well as Red Hook and the St. John ferry, but the neighborhood is still nice and quiet. We were very happy with our proximity to everything we needed for a fun and relaxing vacation. I can't say enough great things about this house and our hosts. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and hope to be able to visit St. Thomas (and Casa Azure) again soon!

Home with a View

This was a lovely home on the north coast of Red Hook. The home is comfortable and has all of your needs covered. There are three bedrooms, two upstairs and one downstairs. Be careful! If you need privacy in the master it's not your place. You get to the master by walking through the second bedroom OR by walking outside. Be aware: to walk outside to main living area from the Master, the sliding glass doors must remain unlocked. (Not a problem for us). The two mattresses upstairs were great. Downstairs' mattress was noisy. I was without my partner so no trouble. But if you have someone sleeping with you I think you would wake up with the squeaking. Our biggest complaint was the TV. It's a dish with many electrical boxes and was confusing for three 60+ YO women who don't normally touch this stuff. We needed instructions but there weren't any. Since we weren't there much, or were just enjoying each others company when we were, we just skipped the TV. One other comment. Please realize you are visiting a mountainous island. NOTHING is flat. This is a home, on a cliff, with fantastic views. You will walk up and down steps. Period.

Wonderful Trip

This was our first trip to the USVI and overall we had a wonderful trip. Very glad we chose Casa Azure on the East End of the island. We traveled with two families with a total of 5 kids ages 7-12. Case Azure was very nice - we enjoyed the hot tub, pool, and spectacular views. Watching all the boat traffic from Red Hook to St John was very entertaining for kids and adults alike. Rated a 4 star as a 5 star rating for us requires all expectations to be met/exceeded. We enjoyed the home but with younger kids we were disappointed to find that the pool level bedroom was not accessible from inside the home. So, we ended up not using that room and had all the kids sleeping in the living room. They had fun so it all worked out. While there the refrigerator stopped working one evening but the owners had it replaced by noon the next day. Anyone that's traveled to an island will understand that is an impressive feat! We enjoyed St Thomas but be sure to check the cruise ship schedule and plan around it. Tues/Wed there were 4-5 ships in CA with over 18,000 people on board so Magens Beach and the main attractions on the island were busy. We chose those days for a St John excursion and a lessor known beach. We had two rental cars which made exploring the island very easy. Also took the car barge to St John on two days so we were able to explore that island as well. If you like beautiful beaches you will love St Thomas and St John. Definitely make at least one trip to St John - much more laid back but the service was better than what we found on St Thomas. Overall it was an amazing trip - we will definitely return again.

Great Location, Great Views and Great Memories

We stayed at Casa Azure for a week. 3 couples all celebrating 10 years of marriage. We were very happy that we selected Casa Azure for our stay. The views of Red Hook, St. John’s and the BVIs were amazing. It was fun to see all the sail boats and ferries go back and forth from Red Hook to St. Johns (although some of them were loud…) As mentioned in other reviews, the home is a duplex with 2 bedrooms on the main level (and deck w/ Hot tub) and one down stairs bedroom with kitchenette (with patio and pool). The layout couldn’t have worked better for our 3 couples and 2 were early risers (who shared the main level) and one that like to spend a little more R&R time in their room (they had the downstairs.) My only complaint with the lower level is you have to go out the front door to walk down the steps (and the door requires a key for entry.) It would be wonderful if there were stairs from the upper deck to the lower patio… Beyond that, Casa Azure was very welcoming, comfortable and up-to-date. It fit our need perfectly, and trying to plan our next trip back. The location of Casa Azure was great. Away from Charlotte Amalie where all the cruise ships port and all the crowds. It is a 2 minute drive (or 8 min walk) to the Ritz, if you want a beach. 5 minute drive to Red Hook, which was our hub for everything we did, Fishing, Boat trip to BVIs, and day trips to St. Johns. Couple other recommendations: If you like to Fish, go through SeeSki, and ask for Raymond. He has a nice boat (not real good for Marlin, but they weren’t biting when we were there.) and think he is one of the top, if not the top guide in Red Hook. Other boats went out and came back with just a couple fish, and we had good luck (other than the shark fishing…) If you haven’t been to the BVIs, definitely take a full day, with captain, to the BVIs. When we go back, we will do 2 days, cutting our stops in half allowing for more time at each. I recommend you strongly consider Casa Azure, assuming Bonnie and Doug still own it. From the moment we booked our stay, to even now 3 weeks later, Bonnie and Doug have been extremely responsive to any questions, concerns or recommendations to help us have a wonderful & memorable Anniversary vacation. Very Nice Accommodations on St. Thomas

We stayed at Casa Azure and enjoyed our stay. The Villa is very clean and with the exception of a few glitches which were promptly attended to by the Owner. The views are spectacular and the hot tub and pool very nice to have on premises. The a/c units worked, were individually controlled in each room and were extremely quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms furnished in nice Island decor. The only cons we found were that it is a duplex and while the owners have no control over the adjacent tenants we found that they were chain smokers and we could smell cigarette smoke early in the AM and after 5. The neighbors let their trash and garbage pile up at their front door and I suspect this led to the roach condition. The sofas and pillows in the living area could us a good soap and water cleaning or replacement. Lots of dust on the nicknacks and beautful teak carvings. There are lots of steps down to the unit that we had not anticipated. Lighting is inadquate as well as handrails. Luggage was a problem toting up and down for us as well as coming home in the dark. If you have any kind of handicap, hip or leg issues you might want to keep this in mind. The bedroom configuration is not necessarily ideal for couples. One bedroom is located on the lower level at the pool. The other two bedrooms are what I would call walk-throughs. You have to walk through on to get to the other and then back from the other to get to the living/dining areas. I guess you could go outside to the deck and in through those doors, but that means it is difficult to lock up the house at night. Also the door separating the upstairs bedroom does not close or lock so privacy would be impossible. If you are a family then these issues may not be important, but if you are 3 couples I could see it being disappointing. No complaints about the road. That is just how it is in the Islands. You need a four wheel drive anywhere you go. House is close to Red Hook, grocery store, good restaurants.

Great place but one disappointment

This was our 3rd time to St Thomas but first time staying at Casa Azure as we wanted a 3 bedroom with amenities (hot tub/pool) as we had family joining us including our 3 year old granddaughter and were going to be home most evenings. We stayed for 6 nights. Let me start with the view is simply amazing from the moment you walk in and the house has everything you need including beach/pool toys/chairs and a fully stocked kitchen. As others have mentioned to access the downstairs 3rd bedroom and pool you access via the outside stairs. But they have motion lighting so no big deal at night unless it was raining. The house was large enough for the 5 of us . I loved my morning coffee at sunrise on the upper deck and even saw a hummingbird. Our only major disappointment was the hot tub being broken. Imagine our disappointment on our 2nd evening when we go to turn it on, it is cold and is not working. I sent a text to the host immediately and then saw a label on the slider door stating that hottub was broken as at 4/01. This was 4/20. We got a response from the host the next day, simply saying It’s broken, new one in Miami, sorry!!!! Wow! Not the response I was expecting! Given the communication we had with from when I booked last year (two calls from Bonnie), common courtesy would have thought we would have been informed ahead of our stay, or even when we checked in, but no we found out as we were about to use it. The owners knew it was broken (since there was a label stating so, they had new electronics on order to fix the broken hot tub and a new hot tub on order). The fact that we were not told ahead of time is beyond disappointing and a lot of our frustration could have been avoided had we been told before we arrived. Yes we still would have been disappointed but at least we wcould have dealt with it before we arrived. Even a small gesture by the host of a welcome basket or bottle of wine upon arrival would have helped ease the disappointment, or even a more genuine response. We totally understand that things break and that being on an island parts or replacements are not easy to come by. Our frustration was not being told. This is a major amenity and selling point for their house and communication & honesty is key in any business.

Wonderful experience

A big thank you to owner Doug and his driver and assistant Charlten for assisting my daughter and her family during their solo trip to this lovely home. While my husband and I had to drop out due to illness, Doug helped to make everything work out. Our grandkids and their mother had a wonderful time. Hopefully, the whole family will be able to return in the near future.

We always wanted a property on the water with stupendous down island views. This is it! We can count over 20 islands from our decks! You can see White Bay and the Soggy Dollar Bar at Jost Van Dyke in the BVI from our decks and bedrooms! We are also a 10 minute walk from the white sand beaches and restaurants at The Ritz Carlton Hotel.
I have traveled the world and the Virgin Islands are by far the best for diving, boating, fishing and just plain fun!!! There are lots of anchorages, beautiful white sand beaches and high green mountains! You can have an island to yourself for a day! There are over 100 islands in the Virgin Islands! The water is crystal clear and always over 80 F with lots of tropical fish, whales and turtles! Columbus was right when he named the islands the Virgin Islands in 1493!!! I can work while at Casa Azure since we have VERY HIGH SPEED INTERNET!

the views are amazing! The Mega yachts pass right by the villa. You even see cruise ships going by! Our laser lit pool changes colors when the lasers are turned on at night! Casa Azure is located on the most desirable part of the island! We are a ten minute walk from the Ritz Carlton Hotel and their beautiful white sand beaches and Restaurants!
ALL BEACHES ARE PUBLIC! We are a ten minute drive to several Restaurants and white sand beaches and the town of Red Hook. Red Hook has boat rentals, restaurants, grocery stores and ferries to other islands. St. John is a 20 minute ferry ride away.
