With balconies overlooking the sand and Gulf, The Ivory Turtle is the ideal setting to watch sunrises and sunsets glow off the ocean. Just steps from the surf, The Turtle is west of the crowds and traffic, yet minutes from restaurants, the pier and shopping.
Located in a family-friendly neighborhood and on the front row of a beach where no vehicles are allowed, the house is an open-concept living space with walls of windows that frame a stunning view of the Gulf. The Turtle offers cozy throws, along with an electric fireplace that creates romantic flickers of flames in the evening.
Large enough to sleep six, but small enough to feel like home, there are two bedrooms in this house on stilts. The top-floor up a spiral staircase has a king-sized bed and a private balcony. The second bedroom has two full-sized bunks and a trundle. A crib is available for the littlest family member.
There are two bathrooms, including one with a shower and one with a relaxing soaking tub. An open-air shower is also available to wash off the remnants of your sandcastle.
The kitchen is well-appointed for any meal you want to dish up or you can grill and picnic beneath the covered patio. (There is both a propane and ceramic grill available. Remember to bring your fuel.) A full-size washer and dryer in the laundry room, free WIFI and cable, three flat-screen smart televisions, driveway parking, a fully fenced yard, beach toys, chairs and outdoor games are all available for use.
Restaurants and nightlife on the Strand is about 15 miles away. Moody Gardens is about 10 miles and Galveston State Park is 3 miles away.
Family-friendly, yet great for honeymoons or a small group of friends, this spot has it all.
