Treat the family to a memorable stay here in Lahaina and make this lofted island getaway your home base. Step inside, and you will find fun coastal decor, the fully equipped kitchen which is more than ready to assist in any recipe, and a spacious living room with stylish furnishings to kick back on each evening. When days heat up, head out to the shared pool or walk down to the sand and watch the tide ebb and flow with a book in hand. When mealtimes come around, the shared gas grills can be a perfect way to cook up some burgers in the fresh air. Plus, the high-speed WiFi and flatscreen TV will be ideal for entertaining the whole gang when the stars come out.

Guests are within four miles of Kahekili Beach Park, Black Rock Beach, and Kapalua Beach (among others!). End the day with delicious mahi mahi from the Fish Market Maui, less than a mile from the condo.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

This is a hidden gem!

The property is in a nice location. Excellent view of the ocean and spend the day just watching whale activity. The pool is also heated (for real) which I have stayed in other resorts with "heated" pools but they're not as heated as this. Great interaction with staff - they're all very friendly and accommodating.

Home away from home

This quaint little spot was the perfect place for our family to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of Maui The sea turtles added an extra bonus to our experience. We enjoyed BBQing as the sun set and the saltwater pool was refreshing and clean. Staff was helpful and kind. Fabulous find. Mahalo

Amazing views, fully stocked and comfortable condo.

This place was overall great!! From the space to fit our family of 6 comfortably to the fully stocked kitchen with quality items. The home comes with, beach chairs, boogie board, beach umbrellas, beach toys, scuba gear (although we had already rented our own), and this place does not have AC but there are plenty of space fans. We slept with all the windows open so the night breeze was nice. A couple inconveniences: not all besides have outlets for charging phones, etc. and the sprinklers come on very early and when sleeping with the windows open you could hear them pretty well. The ocean view from the balcony is amazing, and a perfect view of the pool. The multiple BBQ pits are a nice addition, since it was 4th of July week everyone was bbqing and we didn't have to wait for a pit. The place is very secluded from the surrounding area with lots of trees and greenery, you feel like you're in your own small community. Everyone we met that was also staying at Mahina Surf was family friendly so we had a good time at the pool hanging out with other family's. The beach is just a few steps away, and you'll often find turtles resting on the shore.

Wonderful location for a family

Mahina Surf 208 was a great place for our family of 5. We loved being able to each have our own space and a kitchen to cook meals and save some money. Our kids had a blast in the pool and checking out the turtles each day. There were 21 basking on the beach next to the condo one day! We were close to so many fun beaches and loved having the toys and snorkel gear in the condo to take with us. The location is quiet and felt very private. Loved every bit and would definitely stay here again!

Spectacular views and turtles!!

This unit provides spectacular views of the ocean and sunsets every night. Rainbows several mornings after early rains. The views are even more impressive in person than in the photos. Turtles regularly swim by and hang out at rocky beach just steps away from complex. There’s plenty of space inside the unit. No ac but this was never a problem during our November stay. We left windows and doors open and fell asleep to cool breezes and sounds of surf. Kitchen is well stocked and pretty clean (coffee machine could use update, though). Mattresses comfortable. Bathrooms clean. Towels and decent amount of beach supplies provided in the unit. Downsides for us were minor…yucky carpeting on steps to loft (rest of unit is tiled), patio chairs not the most comfortable (since the views are so great it would be great to have more comfy seating out there), shower curtains in bathrooms. You really have to drive to a beach because there’s no beach access at complex. This was our first time to Hawaii and took a few days to get used to the logistics of this (parking, lugging stuff there and back, etc). But it seems that’s how it goes in Hawaii. If you want direct beach access at your complex, you’re gonna have to pay more for it. The incredible views at this unit far surpassed minor negatives and we enjoyed our stay!

Simply Beautiful!

This was a perfect location to relax and enjoy my family. The lush property was kept up beautifully. The views were gorgeous at all times of day, especially the sunsets. We enjoyed counting the sea turtles as they lounged in their small cove in front of the resort. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful! I loved it and plan to go back again and again!

Great Stay

Our family enjoyed this place because of the amazing ocean view. The condo does not have AC so a few nights got hot and humid. You have to drive or walk to the beach each day. That said, the condo came with all the kid Beach toys your kids could need. Also, a nice pool. I would say this fits 6 people if some are kids, since it is a small space. Condo came with great pots and pans, cutlery, sharp knives, and spices. The condo is well cared for and was clean.

Wonderful location and resort

Spent 3 days at this beautiful resort with my niece, eldest brother and sis in law. Unit is exactly as shown on the website. I loved the fact that there are only 2 levels and it is oceanfront. We ate our meals on the lanai where we enjoyed the ocean breezes while listening to the waves and watching the whales and the incredible sunsets. 15 green sea turtles were on the small stretch of beach just next to the resort. We enjoyed lunch and breakfast at the restaurant inside Sands of Kahana resort which is just a short walk from Mahina Surf. Check in and check out were easy and the unit is exactly as featured in the Vacasa website. I will definitely stay at this place again.

Reality better than photos.

The property was amazing. The views and the turtle beach were my favorite. The condo had all we needed to cook if we wanted to. The grill overlooking the ocean is beyond cool. Landscaping was beautiful and I felt very comfortable there. We would definitely book this place again.

Wonderful Home in a Quiet Neighborhood, Watch Whales & Turtles from Your Balcony!

Our family absolutely loves this home in West Maui! The complex is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by private homes...not high density hotels. This unit has everything you could possibly need to enjoy Maui; beach chairs, snorkel gear, coolers, umbrellas, towels, ice packs, even fishing rods! The kitchen is well equipped with high end pots & pans, sharp knives, pitchers, bowls, and every kitchen gadget you could possibly need to prepare delicious meals and drinks. The grills down by the pool are great for preparing dinner at sunset, and meeting other guests. The grounds are immaculately maintained with gorgeous tropical flowers and fruit trees everywhere you look. And the pool is our favorite hangout spot! It is saltwater, so no harsh chemicals on your skin. And the view from the pool deck is astounding. You can watch whales breech and turtles swim by from your deck chair. The islands of Molokai and Lanai are just across the Maui channel to the west. The sun sets right in front of the property each night, as though you needed anything more to complete this spectacular experience of paradise. We will be back to this home away from home many more times!

General condition

The facility and surroundings were great. We had a wonderful time. I would like to comment on the general condition of this unit. For that I would rate it FAIR at best. You could not close the downstairs bathroom door as the upper hinge was hanging loose. Someone had installed long screws to "pull in the hinge" but they were not effective. Cabinet door in downstairs bathroom had interference with opposing door. To close one had to open both doors and close simultaneously. The upstairs cabinet door was worse. It couldn't be closed at all. The internet was fine as long as you were in the kitchen/living area or upstairs. It would not reach into the downstairs bedroom. I find that completely unacceptable The refrigerator door would not close on its own (normal operation for a fridge) One had to "push" it closed. I had to buy a metal spatula in order to make use of the nice grills on the complex. I left it there for the next person. I understand it is an older building, and I am fine with that. However, it is my opinion that for the price one pays for this facility that the general condition should be much better maintained. I have rented from several VRBO's over the past few years. All have had minor item that I normally report in hopes that they will be addressed so the next client has a better experience. It is my opinion that the owner has made little or no attempt to update/maintain this unit. I would not recommend this particular unit to anyone, but would certainly consider another unit in the future.

Perfect Condo for Hawaii Adventure

We stayed here with our 3 teenage kids. We loved visiting the turtles and the beaches nearby. The condo had everything we needed (we brought our own binoculars), boogie board, sand toys, beach chairs, beach towels, coolers, fully stocked kitchen, etc. Wish we would have found the games in the drawers earlier. We saw whales almost daily from our deck. We could watch the sunset from our unit. Plus everything we could need was within a short drive. We hope to return.

Our Stay at Mahina 208 was perfection!

There is not enough I can say about this unit, and the entire property! We have 2 teenage boys and wanted a self-contained unit with kitchen, pool and ocean view. Got all that and more. Unit was clean, all as advertised. Well equipped, pool was never busy (we stayed Oct 16-23, 2021). Not whale season yet, but listen...you can spot sea turtles from your balcony (binoculars are in the condo). We also spotted a sea ray! At around 2pm each day, you can walk down to the sandy part of the beach (not ideal for swimming but will get to that later), and huge sea turtles will come onto shore to rest for the evening. Inside the unit, close the curtains during the day to keep the sun out and at night, open the glass slats in both the front and back of the unit and let the trade winds keep you cool. There are ceiling fans and portable fans as well in the unit. No A/C is common in units like this, so as long as you are aware of this, you will not be disappointed! We spent a lot of time early morning on the balcony and ventured down to the pool to cool off and enjoy the breeze. Beaches are all public and there is a nice sandy beach just 2 minutes walk north of Mahina Surf, and many more just a 5+ minute drive south. 808 boards gave us an amazing surf lesson and their rentals are reasonable for boogie or surf boards. There were beach chairs, pool toys and a little boogie board in the condo for younger kiddoes. There is a hose at the office to rinse the sand off your things before you bring them back to the condo. You can tell that the owners care for their unit and guests, property management takes amazing care of the premises, and everyone staying there seemed to be friendly and were mindful of the 10pm-8am quiet time (remember, all windows are open). We loved our stay and hope to come back again!
