We greeted by the smell of urine in the parking. My white socks were brown after walking around the unit for an hour unpacking. We went out on the balcony to relax and enjoy the view. The beautiful view was there, until turned you head 3 degrees right where there were 6 lanes of highway, with, with heavy traffic and the noise of a highway to go along with it. Then, a freight train game through town blasting its horn less than 600 yards from the Unit. The freight train came through town about every 2 ½ hours all day and all night. Then every morning, before 6 am, garbage trucks emptying dumpsters in the area. The pool was behind another very tall condo building, but that did not block the noise. The small park, which was really just a grass strip with 2 benches, between the Condo units and the marina, open between 7 am and 7 pm, unless we had a permit. However, the Homeless guy spent several hours in the park after 7pm, ranting in conversations with himself and laughing hysterically, all of which we could here from the unit 3 stories above and overlooking the park. Downtown Melbourne is a 5-minute walk away" It takes longer than that to simply cross Route 1 without getting killed in the process. There is no need to try exploring to the left or right of that light along Route 1. To the left a drive through liquor, and several colorful characters, seemingly on drugs, but that’s none of my business. To the right you will find Wawa convenience store. I could go on...
