This gorgeous home sits in the midst of 120 acres and is perfect for larger families, groups, reunions, small weddings. Bring your dogs and walking shoes - they love the trails on the property.

Take a moment to gather yourself, family, and friends and leave your busy lives behind for a quiet break in the hills of West Virginia. Heart Hill House is near charming and historic Berkeley Springs, WV, and conveniently located near the DC/Baltimore metro areas, yet secluded enough to escape from the fuss of city life.

Our 3200 sq.ft. home offers spacious accommodations and will welcome you with cozy beds, luxurious seating in the Family and Sun room, enclosed porch or large outdoor deck and fire table. Sit on the wraparound screened porch and take in the pastoral views or grill out for dinner. Bring your kids, your friends, and family for a relaxing vacation.

The basement level offers a variety of amenities including Pool Table, PingPong table, Foosball, card/puzzle/game table, and Fitness Room. The basement also has a private bedroom / office with additional sleeping capacity, its own entrance and a bathroom.

Everything you need for some time away can be found here, whether you are looking for a family game night in the Fireplace room, cooking outside on the fire ring, walking the trails, or taking in some local entertainment and dining.

Originally a 1912 farm house, this elegant home has been luxuriously expanded to a spacious retreat. Easy to find and drive to, privacy, walking trails and gorgeous country views await you at Heart Hill House.

Nearby is charming Berkeley Springs where a relaxing and quaint weekend may be found while enjoying its many shops and fine restaurants on the main streets. A couple miles south is the magnificent Cacapon State park where a great lodge, golf, horseback riding, and a small lake with beach and paddle boats is available.

Rates and Accommodations: The nightly rate is set for eight (8) guests which is less than the “maximum” capacity of the house. Extra guests can be accommodated with a modest increase to the nightly fee. The “maximum” number of guests is based on typical couples’ usage of bedrooms and pull-out sofa bed(s). Use of additional airbeds, tents, or campers can be discussed.

Please contact us to discuss your needs if additional guests, beyond the maximum or special circumstances are anticipated.

Anything and everything you can try to consider, was considered! The room layouts gave everybody a space to be in without feeling packed in. Three different living areas, would accommodate three different personalities. The game room off the charts. Realistically three couples could come here and have three different floors to stay on with regards to bedroom locations. The property and the walk paths, off the hook! The proximity to town like 10 12 minutes. Next town down like 15 . Tranquil. With the temps being cold we didn't spend a lot of time outside. But there's a whole lot more life to live there when it's warmer. Property manager was 10 plus on accommodating any questions or concerns, for which they were almost none. Have already recommended this to a few friends. Would absolutely come back here!

The host was so welcoming, accommodating, and pleasant to work with. The amenities were excellent, the only thing that would have made it better would have been a hot tub. We thought it would have been awesome to sit in a hot tub at night looking up at the stars.

I don't know how things could have been better. Over the years, I have stayed at a number of locations in Berkeley Springs with both friends and family.This property is by far my favorite. I weekended at this lovely home once before but for my companions, this visit was a first. We were all super impressed. The house and the grounds and the views are just lovely.

This place was perfect. The heart on the hill really does have my heart! Very clean, super communicative host and just an amazing property. There was one downside with the bees that were entering the house from some unknown place but I'm sure they will address that. Otherwise, absolutely recommend!

We LOVED our stay. The house has tons of room. The kids can be entertaining themselves in the huge basement game room while the adults have plenty of room to spread out upstairs. The screened in porch is complete with rocking chairs so that you can sit back and relax. The deck area has plenty of seating for everyone and a fire pit to enjoy at night. Don’t forget to enjoy the breathtaking view of the sunset from the ridge. It is definitely picture perfect.

Long weekend getaway.

The property is wonderful. It’s a great place to get together with family and friends. There was plenty of room for four couples and two adult children. The host was very accommodating. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Wonderful property. Perfect for our family. The property manager, Chris, was readily available and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. There are multiple places to gather inside and the outside areas are beautiful. The kitchen is well appointed. The a/c kept up with the heat and we never ran out of hot water. It gets five stars from the whole family

Beautiful and Peaceful

We just finished up our 2nd stay at Berkeley Ridge and it was another amazing few days. The house is clean and well stocked. The trails were peaceful to walk and fun for the grandkids to explore. They had fun with the many toys and games in the house when we weren’t on the trails. It’s such a peaceful family getaway. We’ll be back next year.

Perfect Country Retreat!

I can't say enough positive things about our trip! The owner was amazing! He responded to all communications very quickly. During our stay, we lost power, and he was responding to our messages on a Saturday night almost instantly. The house went above and beyond our expectations! The amenities were perfect for all ages. Our teenagers loved the game room in the basement. The pond was a nice walk away and we caught (and released) a lot of fish. We loved watching the birds at the 2 bird feeders from the sun room and the wrap around porch with the rocking chairs was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the views. I highly recommend this property and look forward to returning to make more family memories!

Family Spring break

Stayed here for our post covid ChristmaEaster Spring Break, as we have family nearby. Our gracious host decorated for Christmas just for us! We have stayed other places in between, but only because others beat us to booking. SO happy we had the opportunity to come back! GREAT time for kids and adults, and even great internet for remote work. Can't possibly give a better review. Just wish I had more text space available!

The house is beautiful and very well kept. There were 8 of us and we all had our space. Some of us walked the trails. We were a little taken back by the drive from town but once there had no problems. We loved the accommodations.

Perfect craft retreat

Beautiful, clean, dog friendly. We had 7 ladies doing multiple crafts. They had extra tables & chairs in the garage that were perfect for crafts. We took advantage of the trails on the stunning peoperty! And even thoigh its remote, door dash delivered

Short but sweet

Beautiful house and property with all kind of fun toys in the basement. We enjoyed watching the birds in the newly filled feeders from the comfortable seating areas. Beds were super comfy as well! Our stay was cut short due to an incoming snow storm but the owners were very understanding and worked with us on that. We would love to come back when it’s warmer and can enjoy the property more.

Great house and the best host ever!

This is the second time we have stayed here and we will be back. The house is very spacious, clean, and beautiful. They have supplied every thing you need and then some more. Chris, our host, is the best. Great communicator and he would come by to check on us to make sure we had everything we needed.

Fall Birthday WOW

The home is beautiful! Everything is setup with such care to ensure our comfort. From supplying coffee and paper goods to comfortable beds, couches and chairs. They even supply fishing gear to catch and release at the pond. Morning sunrises to evening sunsets the view is amazing. You can hike or relax in the rocking chairs on the deck. Game room is stock with something for everyone. We had people from 95 to 11 and everyone enjoyed the entire weekend. The kids are planning their next visit.

Beautiful

The owners have clearly taken great pride in making sure that the guests are absolutely comfortable. We felt like we were staying in paradise. We wanted for nothing because everything was there as needed . They even provide small blankets in case you are chill in the evening. The owners were wonderful to interact with and their highest priority was our best time ever. We have decided to make this a yearly event.and maybe even more. Beautiful & clean and peaceful.

Wonderful Stay!

Our stay was awesome. House was clean, organized, and well equipped. We appreciated the thorough communication from booking to checkout. When we arrived we were greeted by Chris how was very welcoming and offered to give us a tour of the house. It was nice getting to here about the history of the property and the family furnishings. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful home!

We loved our stay at this country home. Beautiful scenery and plenty of walking trails. The house was very clean and well stocked. It was also very spacious. We hiked the trails each day and enjoyed the property. Our dog loved the acreage to run and explore the many sights and smells. Chris was an amazing host. He was very attentive and informative. We have already booked it again next year. Can’t wait to return!

Aaron and Jennifer with their son had the good fortune to be able to purchase the larger property from a couple that had owned it since the early 1970s. They wanted a place to visit on the weekends away from the city and that they could share with others; family, friends, and even some Boy Scout units that camp on the property. One of their joys is being able to share the experience with others and to be good stewards of the land.

This has been our place to relax and regroup since purchasing in 2013. Free from flight paths and big highways, where the sights and sounds of nature abound; complete with black skies that are a star-gazer's delight.

Heart Hill House is a blend of old and new. The small original house has been greatly expanded over the years, reaching a spacious 3200 square footage.
