This freshly furnished and decorated 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo on the 6th floor of the impressive Windemere tower is classy and a fun place to stay.
Your "must-haves" have been met: Furniture chosen with maximum comfort in mind? Check. A huge HD Smart TV and DVD player in the living room? Televisions in each of the bedrooms? Check, check. Free high-speed internet? Of course. A beautifully decorated and furnished kitchen equally ready for gourmet cooking or ready-made meals and an extra scoop of ice cream? Check. Keurig coffee maker? Check. A washer and dryer in the unit to quickly get those beach towels back into use? Naturally. Expansive VIEWS of the Gulf from the living room, the master bedroom, and the large private balcony? Great place to stay. Excellent views with privacy balcony. Very quiet. Rooms were comfortable and kitchen fully stocked. Pool was under construction but was noted beforehand. Would definitely stay here again.

Great beach access

Wonderful visit with grandson. A much needed stress free beach time. Location is excellent, communication is excellent. Biggest drawback from our stay - and why I rated a 4-is how smoking policy is not enforced- smokers seem to have free range around pool and hot tub and it impacts big time - even if you are sitting on your balcony.

Very nice condo and beach

This 2 bedroom, 3 bed condo was exactly what we wanted and it did not disappoint. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were very comfortable as well as the furniture, and the unit had a full-size washer/dryer which was very convenient. The view from the balcony was extraordinary! Perdido Beach was a new area for us and it allowed us to try new restaurants and explore new areas. Definitely recommend!

Great place to stay!

Condo was excellent (exactly as pictured). View was AWESOME! As was access to beach! Management was great. Had a bit of problem with electric due to storm . Manager offered another condo if we wished. Stayed in our condo (didn't want to leave "home" we were so comfortable in!) But was concerned about our frozen foods melting. Manager gathered them up, took them to another freezer, then returned them next day after problem was fixed. Planning on coming back next year and staying longer!

Perfection!

We couldn't have picked a better rental for spring break! We've stayed in Perdido Key before, but this was our first time at Windemere. This facility is the perfect size. It's easy to get to/from the beach. I love the assigned parking spots (athough a tight fit, it was the perfect location for us to leave our chairs/beach toys in our car and grab on our way out!) we never had to wait for an elevator! The condo was clean and just the right size. I would say the closets need hangers & maybe something in the guest bedroom to store clothes. The garbage disposal was broken and had a bad smell, but honestly I am knit picking as we had the BEST girls vacation! Would stay here again for sure!

Great Beach View and Access

Location was good, not in crowded area. Beach access and view were great and was our favorite part! Communication with property manager was good, very responsive. Could have been cleaner when we arrived. We swept under the couch to clean popcorn kernels from previous guest and more dusting was needed. Kitchen faucet barely had water coming out but we were able to clean out and get more pressure. Could use better mattresses. Cell service was terrible and the wi-fi wouldn't work most of our stay which was very inconvenient for trying to plan activities. Water was shut off about 3 hrs upon arrival and we had to allow access to cable company during stay for cable box change out but management accommodated by providing free passes to attraction for our group. No bulbs for balcony lights which we requested but were never replaced. Overall stay was ok and we enjoyed the time spent there.

Needs a good scrubbing down

Location is great, beach is not too crowded, but the whole place needs a deep cleaning. Floors will turn your feet black. We had to wash all comforters (with our own detergent) upon arrival bc they did have hair all over them and smelled. We did have to buy some pillows because the ones they had are those hard flat cheap ones. We did ask for extra pillow cases and blankets, which they promptly provided. The water pressure was so low in master bathtub, we couldn’t even use it, same for the kitchen sink. Why does the shower curtain have black mold all over it? Those cost like $2, replace it every time. Like with most of these short term rentals, we did have to pack the whole house to bring down there, but that’s to be expected. All in all, great balcony, great location, roomy place, just needs some bleach, a good wash down, decent pillows, a few more coat hangers, and water pressure issues fixed.

Good location

Good location for access to Pensacola and all there is to do there or to coastal Alabama and all to do there. Great pizza across the street at Lillian's. The good: Nice decor, comfortable living room furniture, lots of room. Good view from the balcony. Easy check in and out. Good beach access and elevator speed (there are three). TVs easy to operate. Good wifi. Plenty of storage space. The could-be-better: The master bed was very broken down. Felt like sleeping in a hole. The couch has some stains and could use a good cleaning. The kitchen is passable, but small and outdated. The overall wear is starting to show on several parts. Walls in need of paint, vinyl popping off the cabinet doors. The vent over the microwave was taped on. Also, there is no zero gravity chair on the balcony, though one is shown. More comfortable balcony furniture would be nice. As mentioned by everyone, the parking lot is very tight. The space for this condo is on the bottom level, which is a little bit easier to access. We were not fans of the rental company. We usually stay at this building at owner-run condos. Too much spam from them. Not very personal and not available outside of business hours except for an emergency.

Conveniently located, but improvements needed

We had a great time in the Perdido Key area but left a bit underwhelmed at this property. Beach access was easy, and we loved the ability to rent chairs to avoid having to "claim your spot" on the beach each morning. Parking was very convenient, and the after-hours check-in process was easy. We were concerned that the elevators could be an issue with the number of people staying in the building, but it was no issue at all. Washer and dryer were full-size and were efficient. WIFI worked well in the unit but FYI Verizon LTE in the Perdido Key area is not good. The living room furniture was comfortable, and the AC worked well. We've stayed at a great number of VRBO Florida beach rentals, and this was our most expensive. This made the lack of attention to details within the unit a little more frustrating. The kitchen was not well stocked if you plan to cook. Other than the refrigerator, the appliances are dated and worn. Things as simple as oven mitts and pizza cutters were not available. The water pressure at the kitchen sink was at a trickle and the garbage disposal was not functioning. The guest bathroom shower curtain liner needed to be replaced due to mold. Bedroom mattresses were average, and we were frequently washing towels because there were so few. When listed at a premium price, there is a presumption that there will be attention paid to details that contribute to a premium experience. Leaving this review in hopes to help spur improvements for future guests.
