Close to the beach

The location was perfect. You walk out the glass doors and there is the beach. Unit was spacious and it was clean. The few drawbacks I had were1. If you plan to utilize the sofa bed bring your own linens. I had to call to get some and then only for sheets. Had to call again for a blanket and received that after our 2nd night. 2. Person bringing blanket did not knock and give us time to answer just walked into the unit a little after 8 in the morning. She was nice but still awkward. 3. No beach service with this unit. So Bring your own chairs and umbrellas. I’m big on customer service and was told that there is not a local office or anyone local to speak to. It seems my calls were outsourced.

Great Location

Location was great, very clean. The only complaints are the beds. It would be a great investment for some new mattresses. And maybe a mat at the back door to catch sand.

Wonderful experience

We loved the location. Ground floor, super easy access to the beach. Although there was construction going on, we were informed ahead of time was were given a partial refund for the inconvenience. Will be staying there again.

Ground Floor Fort Walton Beach Condo with Easy Beach Access and Private Patio!

This years stay at Ft Walton Beach was as good as ever. The unit was clean, ready to go, and no issues with check-in (No contact, web based check-in). The condo is just a few steps from the beach, which makes for an easy all-day sun fest. We were able to bring two vehicles, and received two parking passes. The pool was always clean and ready for guests. Anything you need- groceries, entertainment, dining, fishing, ponton rentals and more, are all within 30 minutes drive. The only drawback would be beachfront accessibility. Beach services claim almost every foot of the front line, so setting up your own front line spot can take a bit of coordination. And appreciation for the folks who tend the beaches, as they provide more than just shade and seats, goes a long way as well. These folks know the beach, and are more than willing to help out with questions and such.

No one told me there was beach construction!

I paid extra money to be right on the beach for this Vacation. When we arrived there was construction on the beach directly in front of my unit. Then for the next 3 days of my stay they had yellow cation tape on the beach directly in front of my unit. I spoke to an owner of a condo in the building who said they were informed way in advance of the construction. When I complained to Southern Vacation Rentals of the situation they said they had no control of anything outside of the beach outside of my “beach front” condo and we’re not sympathetic at all. My whole vacation was ruined with the loud beeping construction vehicles not to mention I could not access the beach in front of my beachfront condo due to it being taped off. I was not offered an apology much less a discount on my stay. I would advice to not use this company for your vacation as they do not care!

Loved it!

We loved being right on the water basically, the walkway is right out the door to go to the beach. Everything was a lot more spacious than it seemed online which was great. When we had a question, they got right back to us. We would stay there again, but not in March. The weather (and the water!) was way too cold for us.
