View of Lake Michigan from the house 3/4 of the year. View sunsets from the living room in the fall, winter and early spring.

Pier Cove, a small public beach is steps from the house and 1 mile from West County Park, a larger public beach. Pier Cove is the best area for rock hunters.

A gas grill and a charcoal grill are provided. Enjoy the large backyard with a fire pit and benches and chairs.

Guest bedroom 1: 1 Twin bed and 1 Queen bed
Guest bedroom 2: 2 sets of bunk beds plus a full /double size bed

Linens; Comforters/blankets, mattress covers & pillows are provided. Sheets and towels are also provided. You need to provide your own beach towels

Fully equipped kitchen allows for easy entertaining of your family and friends.

Grocery stores, farm markets, quaint shops and restaurants are only a short drive. For larger selections or bulk shopping Meijer, Walmart, Sam's Club and Aldi are 20 minutes away in Hollard or South Haven.

We loved everything about the property and the host! Everything was amazing from the veiw at the living room window to the private access to the beach. We will definitely be visiting again! Thanks for an amazing long weekend!

July 4, 2025 Weekend

We came to enjoy Lake Michigan for July 4th weekend. The property was just as shown on VRBO and the hosts were very good about communicating with us prior to arrival. My husband is disabled, and the hosts answered our questions about beach access.

Awesome Birthday weekend and famiky time!!!

Amazing property with so much thoughtfulness evident in every little nook and cranny of this property! Games for all ages to be played, toys for smaller children and such accommodation shown towards visitors staying at this property.

Family vacation house at Pier Cove

This house was a great place to stay for a family with teenage kids - total group of 6. We visited relatives in the area, but the location was also perfect for walking down to Pier Cover and combing the beach for rocks and viewing great sunsets. The host was easy to communicate with and they had everything we needed for a great stay. Inside the place had vintage charm and good wifi for the teenagers. The fire pit looked great and would probably make for a great time to sit an enjoy s’mores, expect our group was so tired from daily activities that we did not get to use. Maybe next time! Would definitely recommend this rental for families looking to visit very close to Lake Michigan.

Nice Stay

We had a very nice stay at this property, and there are pros and cons. Mostly pros though! Pros: * This house was IMMACULATE. And I mean you could eat off the floor. Not a hair or dust speck * Marty was fabulous to deal with. Immediately responsive right from the point of booking * The kitchen was loaded with everything we needed. We cook on our getaways and usually end up having to buy some kind of kitchen necessities * The master bedroom bed was a dream. Super comfortable * Storage for clothes was great. closet / dressers / chests. Often this is not the case * Plenty of bathroom space for a family. We didn't even use the upstairs but I think that would be awesome for kids Ok some cons, mostly easy to remedy: * The biggest bummer is that this property is right off of a main road. The pictures appear as if it's really remote and tucked back in the woods, but it's not. You see cars going back and forth from the kitchen windows and backyard. Not a big deal to some people but we really like privacy on our get-away weekends * Due to the above, Curtains in both the main kitchen and dining room would be good * The lighting in all the rooms was very bright, like the new florescent type lighting. Softer / warmer bulbs would be a big plus * This property really needs a kitchen fan for those that cook. We made steaks on an iron skillet (which of course smokes) and set off the fire alarm. Overall we did enjoy our stay and the pictures are very accurate with everything, other than the outside appearing like you're deep in the woods. Thank you Marty!

Wonderful home

This house was a perfect stay for our small family of 5. The house has great access across the street to a small beach but also a short drive to Oval Beach which we found to be our favorite. We loved exploring the quaint towns of Douglas and Saugatuck that is a short drive away. This is a beautiful part of Michigan and will be back again. Marty, the owner was fantastic to work with and she always answered questions that i had very quickly. The home has everything you would need for a week at the beach!!

The location of our house is the best! Close to the beach and minutes from activities.
While the beach is steps away, the house is in the "woods". The large backyard with a firepit is fun place to visit.

To name just a few fun activities nearby:
There's the Wineries; Breweries; The Art Barn; Cranes UPICKs and Corn Maze; Art Galleries; Play a round of Golf at our 2 Local Courses in the area; Kayak or Paddle Board the Kalamazoo; Rent a Boat/Jet Ski; Charter a Fishing Boat; Go Sailing; Or Spend the Day Sunbathing on Our Beautiful Beaches or End the Day with Stunning Sunsets at; Oval Beach that's been named in the Top 10 Numerous times; Saugatuck Dunes State Park; or Allegan County Park on Lakeshore Drive in Ganges with Picnic Areas and Grills, Playgrounds, with a Huge Beach for Free. There are Endless things to do and see!!!

Also nearby are pickleball courts, blueberry-picking (in season), and a taste of all that coastal Michigan has to offer.

(When you arrive at a stop sign and your app states you have arrived at your destination, our house is on the right. Turn right at the stop sign, and then right onto a "dirt" path through two pillars. Our house is on the right. If you pass Pier Cove, you missed the turn through the stone pillars.)
