The Villa at Rainbow Cliffs

Drive through the gate and enter your own secluded Paradise. Whether you enter the home down the walkway to the main door, or down the steps to the deck, the view will take your breath away.
The main level has a wide-open floor plan featuring a living area in the center, a large kitchen area with a long counter for eating, and a formal dining area. There is an outdoor table just outside the kitchen to enjoy any meal at, it’s like watching an endless movie looking out on the water as you never know what might go swimming by. There is also a bathroom with an outdoor shower on the main level past the formal dining area.
Upstairs there are two identical master bedrooms, where you will wake up looking out over the Caribbean Sea. Each bedroom has its own balcony, bath and shower. In between the bedrooms is a loft overlooking the living room and the sea with a pullout couch.
Sit back and relax, enjoy the view overlooking the Caribbean Sea 25 ft. below. With gorgeous sunsets and rainbows after a passing shower, sit here long enough and you may catch a glimpse of a whale or porpoise playing in front of the home, and on clear days you can see the islands of St Thomas and St John.
Enjoy sitting in the spa overlooking the sea after a day at the beach or shopping in town. The beach is just a short walk away, along with some local restaurants and bars. At Cane Bay Beach, there is also a local dive shop for those who want to dive the world-renowned Wall or just rent a snorkel and fins and swim along the reef.
Want to play some golf, at Carambola Golf Course, or take a little adventure there is local horseback riding through the mountains and then onto the beach for a swim with the horses or try the new zipline through the mountains, this is all within minutes of your own villa.

The view was nice and the house was spacious. Well equipped with utensils, cookware, toilet paper, shampoo, etc...The only downside was the cleanliness. Being that so many reviewers mentioned how clean the home was, I feel housekeeping may have had an off day when they prepared the house. The insides of the kitchen drawers were especially dirty and the top of the refrigerator had a lot of mouse droppings. The hot tub also had an issue with losing water so we were unable to use it but we informed the rental manager toward the end of our stay. I am sure he would have come right out to repair asap it since he didn't hesitate to come within a few minutes to fix the gate. You will not find a more comfortable bed! I regret not looking at the manufacturer tag because I have never slept so well in my life.There are many beaches and restaurants nearby and Cane Bay is our favorite part of the island.

Spring Break in St. Croix

We loved the place. The views alone make the trip worth it. We spent our week exploring area beaches and snorkeling. It was easy to navigate the island and there are good food/drinks/beach options just down the road from the villa. We spent every morning drinking tea on the veranda and every evening watching the sunset. Will plan to visit again in the future for sure.

Spacious Oceanfront Home

Fantastic location, huge house, big bedrooms with porches overlooking the north shore of St. Croix. Nice kitchen. Walking distance to Ama and Cane Bay. Everything is easy in this home. Jacuzzi on the porch. All amenities stocked well. Some updating could be done. Overall, we loved this place and the location.

Great location

Great location, perched above the water. Enjoyed listening and watching the waves on the rocks. Great patio, and the small pool was relaxing. Large living space, but the property does have some deferred maintenance that if fixed could make it great again. Overall had a great relaxing stay at the property.

Private oasis

I will rent this villa again. Private, yet easy to access off main road. Once the gate closes I forgot I wasn’t on a private island. Can’t wait to return. Enjoy your stay and watch for the whales!

Christmas in Paradise

The house is lovely, spacious, and conveniently located. It also is well-equipped. The view from every room is stunning! We enjoyed spending hours on the balcony and unwinding in the spa. The owner and the property manager were very kind, helpful, and great to work with. We’d love to return!

Great Ocean View from Every Room

We had a wonderful stay at Rainbow Cliffs. The views are absolutely wonderful from all rooms; living, bedrooms etc. The patio/deck space is welcoming and was used daily; morning, afternoon and night. We were happy with the pool/hot tub, cool to cool off during the day; hot to enjoy during the "cooler" nights. The owner was very responsive with the few questions we had. If you are looking for a great on the water home, with great views, and close proximity to restaurants and beach; this is the place!

Beautiful view, great location

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at the Villa. The house was spacious and comfortable, and that view can't be beat. The proximity to Cane Bay and several good restaurants was very convenient for us. Our only complaint was that the house seemed a bit run down and could use a deep cleaning beyond what the maid does, especially the outside areas. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend this house!

Breathtaking views and the soundtrack of crashing waves

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in the villa for a week and had the most relaxing time. We loved taking in the breathtaking views all day and the soundtrack of the crashing waves all day and night. The villa is located within walking distance to beachside restaurants and bars which was so convenient for dinners. And the people of the island are so friendly! Be prepared to notice that the elements have had their impact on the doors and furniture of the house. But we lived outside for our entire stay and didn't have any complaints!

Amazing property!

House came with EVERYTHING. The views are spectacular. You get both the sunrise and the sunset over the ocean EVERY DAY! The sound of the ocean 24/7 right outside Ray was very helpful and attentive whenever I had questions. There is ac but it’s only in the bedrooms The ocean breezes keep the rest of the house cool. I highly recommend this property to anyone with a family looking for a nice peaceful stay on the island.

Wonderful Property, View and Location

What a wonderful location! Easy walk to beautiful beach with great snorkeling, restaurants and bars. Stunning views, safe and quiet (other than the waves from some heavy surf). Stargazing from the oversized hot tub was absolutely the best! Clean and well appointed. Comfortable - felt at home instantly.Not unlike any other older property in a tropical environment, in need of some TLC. Most of the wall-to-wall sliders were difficult (or impossible) to open. Gas grill was ineffective, but there was a recently purchased charcoal grill to help. Minor inconveniences, but worth noting.All-in-all, I have no hesitation recommending this villa.If you come to stay, you won't regret it!

Great Stay

The communication with the owner was great. A special shout out to Philip the property manager. He was awesome, he helped us get around the Island our first night. The Villa could use some minor tlc, but overall we throughly enjoyed our stay. We felt very safe and secure with the area. The veiws from every room were amazing! We stayed outside and relaxed most of the time listening to the waves crashing. Also, being able to see the lights of the other islands at night was a pleasant surprise. We were in close proximity to lots of restaurants and ziplining. Canes Bay Beach is right down the road which is very convenient. The other beaches are a short distance away as well. We enjoyed our stay, we will definitely return!

Great location and layout

Great location and layout. Very equitable for 2 couples. Newer appliances, ice maker and washer and dryer. Fixtures are older and some rust inside and out, but all aesthetic. House is very functional. If the house had a deep clean and some simple updates it would be 5 stars. Two excellent restaurants withing walking distance AMA and The Landing. Got to see a whale breaching off of the deck. Very chill area. Could sit on the deck and look out at the ocean all day. Beds were comfortable and hot tub worked great. AC was not necessary...opted for the sound of the waves crashing.

Beautiful Location

Our stay here was wonderful with amazing views out of every window and door. The only sound you hear are the waves crashing on the rocks below. It is an easy walk to one of the most beautiful beaches and snorkeling spots on the island and to 4 restaurants and beach bars. The outdoor space is amazing with both sunny and covered spots. The small pool/spa was great both day (cool) and evening (heated). The house itself needs updating top to bottom and some elbow grease and a deep clean. The gas grill didn’t work. The sliding doors were hard to open, so we opted for using the kitchen and bathroom doors throughout our stay. At first glance the beds looked a little rough, but they were both comfortable with nice sheets. There were plenty of clean towels and beach towels. We were able to overlook some of the issues because of all the positives and overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful villa on the edge of the sea

This property is great - spacious, airy, well decorated and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking and dining, including an extra-large outdoor grill. Watching the starry sky in the night from the porch was an amazing experience. The parking was easy and protected by the gates. One cannot wish for a better home location on the island - ten minute walk from Cane beach and 30 min drive from the the beaches and hiking trails on the east and west coasts of the island. This is an older property, located in very close proximity to (on top of) the sea, so time and the elements have taken a toll on the villa. However, if one can ignore some minor imperfections, this is a very special vacation property, and we highly recommend it.

The views

Our favorite part of this home was the outdoor space. We loved sitting out on the balconies hearing the waves roll in. Stargazing at night was also wonderful. We also enjoyed the location on the North side of the island. The house definitely could use a good cleaning. Many things in the kitchen we washed before we felt comfortable using them. Our bed was very comfortable and listening to the ocean roll in while falling asleep was heavenly. Communication was not as good as the other places we have been. Response is definitely slow. We were a little concerned trying to find the place because our GPS didn’t quite get us to the location. We had been in contact with the property manager when we arrived at the airport but when I tried texting and calling him he was not answering and his voicemail was full. He did answer eventually and we got to our place.

My sister, Peggi and I have been coming to since St Croix since the 60’s when our parents came here on their vacation. They built our original home in 1968 and then began building this home during Hurricane Hugo. While I reside with my family along the Jersey coast and my sister in Upstate New York, I consider LaVallee our home and love coming here whenever I can.
We know quite a bit about the island so just ask and we will try and point you in the right direction.
We have a property manager who lives locally, he can meet you at the airport and guide you to the house or he will meet you at the house. At the house he will give you the keys and is there to help out with getting you settled for your stay. I do recommend renting a car as taxi service on the north shore is available, but you will wait a bit.
