We used John's place as our home base while in town for a trade show. We really appreciated the ample living space and the open concept kitchen, dining, and living space that allowed for easy communication and family time no matter if you were in the kitchen or living room. Our family really appreciated the comfortable and spacious bedrooms and the 2 full bathrooms. We have previously stayed in one of John's other listings and when we knew we were coming back to Chicago, we intentionally sought out another stay at one of John's listings as we knew it was in a great area that is walkable to so many great restaurants, has easy access to the highway to get where ever you need to be, but most of all that it felt like a home away from home where we would relax and unwind after a long day. If available, we'll always choose one of John's properties when we're in Chicago!

We were extremely pleased with this place and this host from the time we booked until the time we checked out. The home is beautiful and very clean. We love the little extras especially the candy bowl! The neighborhood is quiet. Many restaurants and taverns within walking distance from this location. It was easy to uber to any downtown attraction. It was the perfect stay for our long week away with family for a wedding.

Great stay! Host was responsive and directions to get into the property were simple. The kitchen and living room were perfect. Snacks and candy were a great touch. Master bedroom bed needs a little improvement - it really sucked ya in. Besides that loved the stay and honestly would stay again!

Ex-Chicago family back in town for a wedding. What a great traditional Chicago-style home! Very well-equipped, comfortable for six adults. Great safe location - parked once in reserved spot then walked to bars, restaurants and parks - ubered everywhere else. 1st floor was a plus! John was a great host!

We absolutely loved this property! It was in a perfect location for what we wanted to do and it is a wonderful neighborhood. The bedrooms were comfortable and everything was very clean and stocked with everything you could need. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay was perfect. The location was wonderful, with a short walk to dining and other activities. The place was well stocked, in a lovely neighborhood and it was very quiet. Host communicated well, and accommodated our early check-in request. Would recommend.

We were very happy with the stay overall…only two comments as FYI….As we were in F1 on first floor….No.1 Consider posting “quiet hours” for above units…folks arrived at unit F2 about 10pm & were loud into wee hours; ran laundry, TV & dropping/flopping suitcases around. Get that travel times are variable, but a posted reminder about “Quiet hours” would be good for upper floors. My build at home has in lease “Nothing before 8am and nothing after 10:30”…No.2 The washer’sz detergent drawer was super mildewed & we had scrubbed before using washer. Frontload washers can be tricky to keep dry, maybe add checking that drawer to cleaning check list….Otherwise we all said we’d come back again & recommend the Little Greystone Thanks again!

This was the best little house that we have ever stayed in. We just love the character in this home. It was a nice distance from downtown but not too far out Ubers only cost us between 13 and 18. To Go we was very well pleased and we will be coming back.

Great Location, 5mins walk to the POLK L-train station where you can then get to the United Centre quickly or downtown in about 7-10mins. 1 block away from Taylor street which has some great restaurants, shops and food. Beautiful, safe neighborhood (Medical District). The unit is clean, updated and exactly as described. Some nice touches with the coffee pods, chocolates and snacks. The owner is easy to deal with and responsive. Would stay here again. no complaints.

Clean, Convenient, and Relaxing

The space is well kept, clean, and spacious for its age. Place is well stocked with essential stuff and sweets. Parking on street can be a challenge in the evenings although there’s a spot in the back. If you have a Suburban size SUV it probably won’t fit in back. It is a first floor of three so you’ll hear the other tenants. It’s a great space for a getaway in town. For whatever reason a different address is in the check in info but it’s at the one where the key is, apparently it’s common enough a problem the other address has a note saying go away. Neighborhood seems safe, partner and I walked to United Center without worry multiple times.

This property was perfect for a family stay in Chicago. Easy short walk to the pink line and busses which we utilized. John provided a parking pass and spot behind the residence for our vehicles which was much appreciated! Kitchen had necessary items for meal prep and tons of snacks, teas and coffee pod options. Would definitely stay again.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in Chicago. Die Straße, in der sich die Wohnung befindet, ist sehr schön und gut gelegen. Direkt in der Nähe befinden sich der Bahnhof Polk (Pink Line), die W Taylor Street mit Restaurants und Bars und ein größerer Supermarkt (Jewel-Osco). Die Wohnung als solches ist gut ausgestattet, wir haben dort gefrühstückt und auch einmal gekocht. Wir hatten insgesamt ein schöne Zeit dort!
