Hilton Head Island has long been recognized as one of America's best vacation destinations. Hilton Head's temperate climate is ideal for year round family, golf and tennis vacations.

South Forest Beach is one of the most popular residential communities on the island. Our home is just 1 mile from the many restaurants, bars and shopping venues at Coligny Plaza. Visitors can enjoy more than 16 miles of pedestrian/bike paths winding throughout the community. Sunset at the iconic Harbour Town Yacht Basin is spectacular.

Our home is the 3,024 square foot, 4BR/3BA beach retreat of your dreams. Custom vaulted ceilings, multiple living areas and two master suites provide plenty of space for family time or privacy in your getaway oasis. A secluded backyard features a sparkling private pool and spa for your personal enjoyment. Mature trees and lush landscaping lend a tropical feel while you swim or relax in the spa. The beach is only 200 yards, down a shady pedestrian path, from our back yard.

LIVING AREA: Relax beneath dramatic coffered ceilings in the living area, A posh leather sectional invites you to unwind while you select one of many DVDs to watch or stream your favorite TV show on the 55" flat-screen TV.

KITCHEN & DINING AREA: An immaculate open kitchen will delight the chefs in your party. Plenty of counter space sets the scene for culinary creativity. The breakfast bar will seat five while dinner simmers. The kitchen is equipped with an abundance of cookware, dinnerware and utensils, including Keurig and standard coffee makers. The side by side refrigerator/freezer with ice maker has plenty of space for groceries and frozen cocktails.

An elegant dining area with a custom ceiling is the perfect place to serve special meals. The dining table will seat six with space for extra guests.

BEDS & BATHROOMS: This beautiful two story home can easily accommodate 10 guests. It has four spacious bedrooms and a queen sleeper sofa on the second floor loft. Each bedroom has a flat-screen TV with popular streaming services.

The first floor has three bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a comfortable queen bed and shares a spacious bathroom, including a walk-in shower, with Bedroom 2 across the hallway. Bedroom 2 boasts a pair of comfortable twin beds and direct access, via a sliding glass door, to the pool/patio area. Bedroom 3 has a California king bed and an en-suite bathroom with a combination Jacuzzi tub/shower.

The master suite is on the second floor. It features a 20 foot Palladium window providing dramatic views of live oak trees and Spanish moss. It has a stately California king bed that welcomes you. Curl up on the twin recliners with one of many books from the bookshelves or watch a movie streaming on Netflix. The en-suite bathroom features a two person walk-in shower, double vanity and separate toilet closet.

The second floor loft is a quiet retreat with four skylights and and a queen sleeper sofa where guests can escape for some personal time.

OUTDOOR AREA: Tall trees and lush plants provide a stunning tropical backdrop to your private backyard oasis. Take a refreshing swim in the unsupervised pool before diving into a magazine or book. There is plenty of poolside seating, umbrellas and a dining table for six. A propane gas grill is always ready for a family style cookout. A secluded pedestrian path can deliver you to the beach in about two minutes.

AMENITIES: Guest amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, an outdoor shower, outdoor propane grill, washer/dryer, and parking for four cars in the private driveway..

The pool/spa can be heated during your stay for an optional fee of $700 per week. We will need at least 72 hours notice to heat the pool or spa.

First Beach Vacation

Spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and living space. Outdoor space was also just the right size. Very nice for adults and older kids. Unfortunately, the stone hearth and marble dolphin statue were NOT conducive to toddlers’ safety ( jagged edges and sharp fins).

Perfect Beach Home for Family Vacation

The house was a perfect fit for our family gathering. Plenty of space to spread out and nice size table to gather for meals or play games. Excellent location, easy to walk to the beach, well-stocked kitchen to cook meals. The pool was wonderful and they have plenty of beach towels to use.

Love love loved the house. Nicely stocked with everything we needed. Clean. Nice pool with hot tub connected. Maybe 200 yards to beach on a nice wooded path. Beach felt almost private. Maybe a dozen families. Highly recommend

Another Week In Paradise

Our group of nine had plenty of room in this house. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked. We found the mattresses to be comfortable and the property was very clean. The outside space/pool is very nice and the walk to the beach is fairly short. We would stay at this house again and recommend it to others.

We had a great stay and this house shows better in person than the photos. The walk to the beach was perfect and the kitchen had all sorts of spices and cookware/cutlery/utensils. There was also laundry detergent and dishwashing detergent. Our favorite spot, aside from the beach and pool, was the dining room with a bench. We would absolutely stay here again!Notes for improvement:1. A welcome book with info about trash, recycling, check out procedures 2. Some varying pillows (all ours were very flat) and extra pillowcases3. Travel beach chairs to take to and from the beach (we packed our own and were glad we did)4. A list of things which ARE stocked shared before arrival (beach umbrellas, towels, extra blankets, etc.) I asked via email and did not receive a response answering my questions.

Great family stay!

This is a great house for 2 families to stay! We were 4 adults and 2 toddlers and had plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchen items and spices but no other pantry items. There were plenty of towels and even beach towels and toys! We didn’t realize the hot tub wouldn’t be heated unless we paid for the pool to be heated so that was a disappointment. Overall it’s a great stay and super close to the beach!

Gorgeous!

This home is gorgeous, spacious, very well stocked, clean, and a great location! Our party of 7 had plenty of room to spread out. The house is one of the most well stocked we have ever stayed in with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, beach towels, beach gear, extra pillows, blankets, and the list goes on. The pool was wonderful to cool off in after a hot beach day. The walk to the beach was a little difficult for my elderly mother but easily managed by the rest of my family. The close location to Coligney Plaza was super convenient for shopping and dining. I have rented a lot of beach houses over the years and this one definitely tops our list! We hope to rent here again in the future!

Lovely oasis easy walk to the beach

We had a wonderful time at this house. Our kids (age 4 & 5) loved the pool and the backyard, and it's an easy walk to the beach. (Easy enough that we didn't bother carrying much, and I mostly just walked barefoot.) The backyard is a particular delight, with great furniture and just gorgeous nature. The pool is a nice variety of depth, ranging from under 3' to over 5'. Plenty of change for small kids to enjoy it (under supervision). There's also a bench that extends along one wall, which helps the small kids also. The house is also extremely well stocked. This isn't one of those vacation homes where you get one trash bag and a single dishwasher soap. You get plenty of coffee ready for your arrival, all the basic necessities in generous quantities, and lots of beach towels. It's a very well stocked house and kitchen.

Wonderful house near the beach

Our family had a lovely time and thought the house was very nice, especially the backyard and pool, which our grandson loved. The location is excellent and the house is a short walk to a beautiful, uncrowded beach. The house itself is large, clean and comfortable with big bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms and living room. While well equipped, we wish the kitchen had some spices and condiments and perhaps some plastic dishes for use near the pool. The Internet connection to the TV in the master bedroom on the second floor didn’t work perhaps due to a weak signal; it was fine elsewhere. We also would have liked some maps, guide books and suggestions for restaurants and activities, although we found them on our own, and some general information about trash, recycling, etc. These are minor quibbles (the property managers were very responsive to our questions) and didn’t detract from a great week at the beach. There was one thing that we thought was going to be a huge issue: a house is being built right next door. The house is in the framing stage and the sawing and hammering was pretty loud when we arrived on Saturday. Luckily, there was only one other day when there was work being done and it wasn’t a big issue. We do think, however, the nearby construction should have been disclosed to us before we passed the cancellation date. All in all, we had a great time and found the house and location to be excellent.

According to the web site a complaint to VRBO is first to be registered with the host. This is a complaint concerning our rental of the above property through VRBO from July 22, 2023 through July 29, 2023. As part of the rental agreement the swimming pool was a part. In selecting this property the pool was a major component in our decision process. Our grandchildren look forward to this feature each time we rent from VRBO. The pool and the hot tub were unusable the entire week due to debris in then bottom of the pool which we were told was due to the pool equipment not functioning properly as you and the pool service personnel agreed. Due to the large amount of sediment in the pool bottom, the children could not use the pool. When the kids would get in the pool it would stir up the sediment and contaminate all of the water. As you know, I made you aware of this on Saturday, day one of our rental. Subsequently, I contacted you numerous times regarding this same issue (Sunday at 3:09a.m., Monday at 10:12 a.m. and 1:54 p.m., Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. and 3:35p.m., Thursday at 8:00a.m. and 1:03p.m., and Friday when you met on site with the pool service company president). Tuesday of that week the pool service man came to clean the pool, and at that time said that equipment was not functioning properly, and that he would turn in a repair order. Further, Friday, the last full day of our rental as mentioned, you met on site with the president of the pool service company to

We hope to be back next year!

House was extremely well stocked, had extra towels, some pool toys, everything you could need in the kitchen.. truly one of the best stocked properties I’ve been to. Had 3 young kids who loved the pool and the short walk to the ocean was great. We truly had an amazing experience and would recommend. Only areas we found for possible improvement would be: - Better communication from host when on-site. Don’t get me wrong, fully recognize this is a rental and the owner will need access, but there seemed to be nearly daily visitors and only 1 time did we know it was happening and that was at the end of the trip after we kept texting to verify the people on property belonged. We had a locksmith there to fix a front door that we hadn’t had issues with, a handy man to fix a back door that we didn’t believe to have any issues, an insurance man taking pictures outside, a pool guy (recognize it’s a standard pool cleaning apt but a heads up that a random guy would be entering the back yard on Wednesday would have eased the anxiety of the young mothers on property) - truly just an area to improve would be providing a heads up when someone will be on property so guests aren’t caught off guard. - Not sure if possible but back yard area could use some mosquito treatment, recognize the yard edges up to a wooded path to the ocean and mosquitos are just part of nature but if it can be sprayed I think future guests would appreciate it. We picked up mosquito sprays and candles to mitigate the challenge and it worked reasonably well but just a nice to have if possible would be treatment! - A guest book that gave overviews of household operation and expectations for check out and such would be nice - every rental I’ve been to has had something like this but this property didn’t and we found ourselves guessing upon exit of what needed done to meet the expectations of the owner and manager - just would be nice to have a guide to the house included upon arrival - we found our way but just an observation. Truly please know these opportunities to improve are simply observations from our stay and none of these kept us from having a great visit and discussing dates to return next year. Highly recommend the property!

Perfect Location

This was the perfect place for our family vacation. It really is quick walk to the beach with toddlers. The backyard and pool made it even better for a quick cool off after our bike rides or while the kids napped. Loved that the house had beach towels and a few pool toys. Communication with the host was great prior to arrival and we had no need to contact while we were there. We will be back!
