The Funky Monkey is located on Monkey Island, OK. Come enjoy Grand Lake of the Cherokees with the friendly, knowledgeable, and personalized attention only a family-run business can offer.



Settle into one of six uniquely themed and comfortable rooms. Relax and enjoy the wrap-around porch or read a book by the fireplace. It is easy to explore Monkey Island from our perfect location right in the middle of the action.



If you are looking for a fun filled day of fishing, boating, golfing, horseback riding, we can help point you in the right direction. If you want to retreat and unwind, we will take very good care of you while staying out of your way. If you are coming for business, let us remedy the monotony of corporate lodging with our unique style. We would love to host your corporate group for an overnight business meeting or executive retreat. We have also been a popular place to stay for wedding families while their loved ones are getting married at Shangri-La. We are flexible and excited to accommodate you in any way we can.
