Nestled in a quiet wooded area of Mcgaheysville sits this 4-bedroom, 3-bath vacation rental, offering outdoorsy folk the perfect base for a memorable trip. With the resort's 6,000 acres of mountain activities including skiing, swimming, hiking, golfing, and more, there's something exciting in store for every member of your group. Conclude an active day with a soak in the hot tub and a delicious BBQ meal on the private deck!



This upscale home has all the space, modern amenities, and access to nearby attractions needed to be the perfect Massanutten mountain getaway you and your family have been searching for!

Please take your trash with you. There are maps and signs in the cabin telling you where to dump it if needed. Alternatively, the house manager can take them for a tip of $5 per bag if you'd prefer.



The base rate includes 6 people. Additional guests are an extra $30 per person per night. Please read the itemized charges carefully. There can be no more than 10 guests.



There is a separate security deposit required for this property. Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions about it- we are happy to answer them!

Host did a great job checking in to be sure our family did not need anything. Very nice home with everything you would need. Well stocked kitchen and outside cooking area.I would recommend this house if you are looking in the area. Worked out well for our daughter's graduation from JMU.

The home is well appointed, clean and updated. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishware. The hot tub was wonderful and relaxing. The propane gas fire pit provided warmth and ambiance. The area is quite. Ammenities are close. Highly recommend this home for a get away. We will definitely be back.

We really liked the location and layout of the house. A few things we noticed that weren't deal breakers but would have upped our enjoyment: Our group enjoyed the outdoor space immensely but a few more outdoor chairs would have been nice. Some regular/smaller size glasses would also have been helpful. A TV in one or two of the bedrooms since some of us like to sleep with a TV on and more lighting... it was very dark while trying to play games at the dining room table. Again, not deal breakers but just things we've noticed - a group of middle aged women who like to relax, play games, be outside when we can and don't always even leave the house!!

Nice and clean

We brought two littles with us and really appreciated the cleanliness. The place was very nice and close to many family friendly activities. We would recommend having a few extra blankets lying around when it gets chilly, and some more toilet paper/dish detergent, etc. These items were stocked a little low, but that’s minor. The neighbors were also much closer than we realized. Everyone was very nice, but a personal preference was a bit more privacy.

Great Location

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Hawk Mountain Song while in town for our niece’s wedding. The location was perfect—just a quick ten-minute drive to the venue, Brix and Columns Vineyards, which made everything easy and stress-free. The home was clean, comfortable, and a great place for our family to relax and spend time together. Would definitely stay here again!

Even though it rained 90% of the time, our family had an amazing time. We didn't go with any plans in mind, but there was a lot of things to do. We relaxed at the house with the kids and really enjoyed family time. The house was so accommodating and had everything we needed to cook, drink, and have fun. The flat top grill was an extra touch that had us thinking about making grilled pizza- which turned out amazing! The pool table kept the kids off their phone and challenging each other for a game.

Wonderful property

Our family vacation at Hawk Mountain Song could not have been better. With 2 small children there was plenty of space and the pack n play and high chair were an extra bonus. The kitchen is fully stocked (really it has everything you could need) and allowed us to eat in most of the time. Everything is in working order, very clean, and communication with the hosts is seamless. They answered our questions promptly. Self check in was easy and there is plenty of parking space for our 3 cars. The hot tub was a nice addition. We took advantage of the location and were able to go to Luray Caverns, the water park at Massanutten, hike the tunnel trail in Shenandoah, and go to a winery. The only item I would change is that there aren't any toiletries, so make sure to bring your own shampoo and soap. We would definitely stay there again.

This property was perfect for our week stay. Plenty of room for people to spread out. Full equipped kitchen allowed us to cook all our meals. The pack and play crib and the high chair were added bonuses. It was clean and near to Massanutten where we enjoyed the water park and the nearby winery. Bring your own toiletries as there aren't any on-site, and we had to purchase TP and paper towels as there wasn't enough for the week.

Another great family trip

I spent a week to celebrate my 70th birthday with my adult children, and grandchildren. The house was nicely decorated yet cozy. Layout was great for all we wanted to do. The kitchen is well appointed and we mostly cooked in. Hot tub was a big hit... especially after hiking in the Shenandoah Park. Unit was clean. The littles enjoyed a nearby indoor water park. AC works well, but getting the upstairs cool enough made the downstairs family room and bedroom uncomfortably cold.

Excellent place for family get together

Very spacious 4 bedrooms with hot tub and pool table to keep everyone occupied. Fantastic water park close by and petting farm that kept the toddler and adults happy. Very close also to ski resort and plenty of walks.

Beautiful Mountain Home

This is our second time to stay at Hawk Mountain Song. It is a great home for our family.! We had three generations there ranging from 65 down to two and everybody had plenty of room. The home is furnished beautifully, and the kitchen is well supplied. The views from Every window ore outstanding! We made good use of the hot tub, and the ski large is just a short drive away. The ski staff on the mountain were so friendly and helpful. We had a terrific time.! The hosts are spot on, and answer any question immediately. We couldn’t have had a better time!
