We will not book this place again

We think the home was in a really nice place - close to the beach and the city. But there was very bad smell there. It smelled of sewer and bad drains even though we cleaned it. And twice we had cockroaches. Also pretty much noise from the road with cars. I think the place needs a renovation, you can see in several places that there has been moisture. We will not book that place again.

This is more of a corporate vacation rental managed by an individual. I was in town for the Cannes Film Festival so it was definitely an expensive price for what I got. I stayed in another closer and nicer vacation rental earlier in the week for the same amount with quadruple the space and nicer amenities. The communication was great, but the listing left a bit to be desired. Just small things: the shower doors did not have the rubber stoppers on the bottom so I had to put them on myself. I had to put the bin liners in on arrival and the room didn't come with cleaning supplies. There was only one laundry detergent pellet and it didn't dissolve all the way in the washer. There wasn't really enough toilet paper stocked. Just a bit odd and it felt like it wasn't fully prepared for my arrival. It was right next to an Aldi which was nice.
