Appartement de Standing au Cœur du Vieux Lyon

🇫🇷 English

Located in the heart of historic Old Lyon, this exceptional loft is located in an old building steeped in history, belonging to the very first houses in the district.

The accommodation offers a unique experience: the large main living room is the result of an old Lyon traboule integrated into the building over time. This rare architecture gives the place spectacular volumes and an absolutely atypical character.

The traboules are one of Lyon's most famous historical treasures. Usually visited by travelers, they are rarely inhabited. Here, you have the exceptional opportunity to stay in a place inspired by this unique historical heritage.

The loft includes:
• 3 bedrooms
• 3 bathrooms
• 3 toilets
• Ample living space
• A large historic lounge with impressive volumes

As Old Lyon is built on a historic hill, the accommodation has a typical configuration of old buildings in Lyon, with a slightly semi-underground part, which also helps to keep it pleasantly cool in summer.

Claire was an excellent host helping us with any questions in a timely manner. The apartment is a gem in Old Lyon and is very well appointed. I loved having the space to sit around after a long day sightseeing. The location was terrific - there are a lot of stairs but that is part of the charm of being there.

Our stay in Lyon was magical. The apartment is in the heart of Old Lyon, and is absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect place to relax after long days of exploring gorgeous Lyon. Claire is an incredible host. We arrived late on our check in day, and she offered to meet us to make sure we were able to check in smoothly. She was even worried that we would be hungry and nothing would be open that late, so she offered to have snacks waiting at the apartment for us. She is incredibly kind and responsive. She gave me her contact information in case we needed anything while staying. I texted her quite often asking for recommendations, etc., and she always promptly responded and was very helpful. At the end of our trip I asked for some advice in securing a taxi, and she arranged all of it for me--calling the taxi service to set it up and even waking up at 5 am on the day we left to double check that it would pick us up. I have never had an experience at a VRBO like this. She is simply wonderful! If you are looking for a spacious apartment in magical Old Lyon, do not hesitate about renting this stunning apartment from Claire, who is such a kind and attentive host. Our entire experience was a 10 out of 10. Thank you, Claire!

Host Claire was super awesome!!! Helped with taxi arrangement, replied in a timely manner, was most gracious. While the room arrangement was a bit odd and there was nowhere to hand things to dry, overall, very good experience.Main recommendation would be to have cotton bath towels in bathrooms...microfiber not good for drying off.
