Cozy 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, has everything you need for the perfect family vacation! Spend the day exploring near by attractions, fishing from the front yard, or simply enjoying the beautiful views from your private upstairs deck

The house is nestled in a great little fishing community, nothing fancy, you'll see some RVs and trailers. However, the location is great because it is 15 minutes away from Galveston Beaches, 24 minutes away from the Texas City Dike, 30 minutes from Kemah Boardwalk, and 10 minutes away from the Fairgrounds giving lots of room for fun things to do with very little drive time and an added bonus of breath taking nature views!

If you are wanting to fish you'll need to bring your own equipment, the house does not include watercraft or fishing supplies, but does have two crab traps tied to the bulkhead. There's also a private launch for kayaks (not included with rental).

Hopefully you're booking to relax and unwind but if work is a must we’ve included an office work space in the guest bedroom that includes a desk, chair, and computer monitor.

The house sleeps 7 people max, including adults and children. Two bedrooms have queen beds and the third bedroom has a bunk bed, with a full bed on the bottom and twin on the top.

The kitchen is very nicely stocked with pots, pans, baking sheets, and some handy spices. There is also a charcoal grill on site but you must clean it if you use it. Coffee maker is a Keurig (k-cups are supplied).

TVs in all the bedrooms and the living room with access to Prime.

Host supplies starter toilet paper (4 rolls) and 2 rolls of paper towels. Shampoo, body wash and conditioner provided. Both bathrooms have a blow dryer.

Home is only accessible by climbing a flight of stairs. The garage area is not available for guest access, and there is access to one closet, hangers provided. The property has 5 active exterior camera/audio recording devices running 24/7 for the security of guests and the home. Any attempt to turn off, damage, disrupt or remove these devices will lead to an immediate removal from the property without a refund. If at anytime the max occupancy limits are exceeded you will be asked to vacate immediately with out refund.

Easy check in, everything was just like the photos and the air was nice and cool inside! It was nice to have everything you needed even coffee. The host communicated when needed and was very helpful and responsive to us. Stayed w/ hubby and our 2 teenagers, plenty of space for us all. My husband even caught so decent size crabs a 2 good size fish.

January Weekend in Hitchcock

We had a peaceful, relaxing weekend in this beautiful bay front home. This 3 bedroom equipped with 4 TVs (which we never even had time to turn on) was clean and inviting. It is exactly like pictured on VRBO. We tried fishing in January and caught blue crabs with their crab traps and on our fishing poles. It is close to Galveston, Kemah, Dickinson, San Leon, League City, and surrounding towns. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby, too. We definitely would book again!

Weekend away fishing

My son suggested this property from reviews he had seen for kayak fishing. The house is beautiful and owners communicate very quickly. While the fishing was not in our favor that weekend, probably from the amount of recent rain, it seems like an ideal spot right on water and also conveniently located to Galveston and Texas City. My 4 year old granddaughter loved the "party lights" on the patio area. We are already talking about when we would stay here again!

Great getaway from the city!

Newly renovated and is great!

I've stayed in a lot of rentals on the TX coast and you never know quite what to expect. I was extremely pleased when arriving at this location! It looks like it was just remodeled on the interior. Everything is new and clean. Comfy beds, new sheets and bedding, comfy couch, giant tv, etc. Kitchen is in great shape. Will definitely be staying here again. As I mentioned above, you never know what you are going to get. I highly recommend this place, and couldn't be happier. The owner also messaged me before arrival, as there was a big storm during our stay. They were excellent communicators and extremely pleasant to talk to. Will be staying here again next summer!

Quiet Beauty

We had a fabulous two day stay. This house is just the cutest little home and fits 6 adults perfectly! I'm sad we didn't have fishing gear. We saw several jump out of the water. I would stay again. I had a question and had a response in minutes.

Beautiful Place

There's so much to tell about this place, my family and I were very pleased with the property, very clean, very comfortable, very well organized, my favorite thing about the place was the coffee station, I as a coffee lover it was definitely a must and was super happy to utilized it. My other favorite thing about the place was the beautiful peaceful view, I must shared that the house is located 20 minutes from Galveston (as listed) "BUT" my family and I did not mind the drive because the property it's definitely worthy, another thing I would love to shared it's their easy and professional contact communication, I'll definitely book with the Ochoa property in the future! Hidden Gem

Don't be fooled by the neighborhood. This is a lovely place with a kayak-size boat ramp for anytime fishing and crab traps right there in the back yard for family fun. The place was spotless, and had everything we needed to have a week of peaceful vacationing. We arrived during Spring Break, and we always looked forward to returning to this house as a place of beauty, peace, and quiet. For two nights there were strong thunderstorms; however, this was a highlight. Our bedroom was full of windows and a sliding glass door with a fantastic view of the bayou. Giant skies filled with lightning crafted a special night. Would definitely stay here again.

Exquisite canal front oasis!

My 51st birthday celebration at this canal front property in Hitchcock, Texas was an absolute dream come true. Nestled along the tranquil waterway, this clean, modern, and contemporary home provided the perfect retreat for our special occasion. The stunning views of the canal from the backyard created a serene backdrop for relaxation and enjoyment. Fishing right from the backyard was an incredible experience, and the few red drum and blue crabs we caught added an exciting element to our celebration. The provided crab traps were a fun and convenient touch, enhancing our fishing adventures. The interior of the home was equally impressive, with its sleek design and comfortable furnishings making us feel right at home. The spacious layout allowed for seamless indoor-outdoor living, with glass doors opening up to the waterfront patio where we could enjoy alfresco dining and sunset views. The peaceful ambiance of the area provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, allowing us to unwind and truly savor the moment. Whether we were casting a line off the private yard or simply soaking in the beauty of our surroundings, every moment was pure bliss. In summary, our stay at this canal front property exceeded all expectations! We even stayed an extra night! And the host Melanie was fantastic! She communicated very well, and was very responsive and prompt in all communication. And she had no problem, extending our stay for an extra day.

For many years we dreamed of owning a waterfront property. This location is perfectly nestled outside of Galveston, allowing the opportunity to enjoy the tourist season or take advantage of a peaceful quite setting outside the city limits.

The house comes with everything you and your family need to take a relaxing vacation. The private ramp allows you to launch a kayak (not included with rental) without having to pay launch fees. One of the bedrooms is equipped with a desk and chair if you are needing to work from home.
