Get ready for the vacation of a lifetime! Huge home on almost 4 acres. Lots of room for all of the family to have fun inside and out. This home was just purchased and there will be several improvements to the furnishings you see in the pictures. We will upload them as changes are made. This home sits at the border of Smith River, CA and Brookings/Harbor, OR. Enjoy the expansive ocean views with the most amazing sunsets you will ever see. Where the Redwoods meet the Pacific Ocean, gorgeous!

We loved our stay here. We had booked for 12 only ended up at 10 but either way more than enough had 12 been there. We have rented other houses and not had enough room so very pleasant.Also loved how cabinets were labeled so we could find things and put them back when done. Loved that there was a crock pot that was not mentioned and waffle maker, that we found too late to use. Darn.The sign telling what property it is needs to be taken out of the bushes. Instead there is a sale sign up.A downfall was it say's there is a baby gate which there was but it is not put together and it is not for that kind of stairway so a little scary with a almost 2 year old and a 9 month old. The biggest downfall was the road/driveway getting in. We have a Pilot and it was dragging in the center at parts of the road on a daily. We had a small hitch attached with our items and could not get up the hill when we first got there. Thank goodness I had brought a folded wagon that we unpacked and had to unload the hitch and wagon it up in a few trips. Not an easy task on that steep driveway with so much heavy stuff. Not a great start to our trip or end because we had to get all our stuff to the bottom of the driveway and then it was still to high my husband couldn't get under to hitch it so my son had to so we could load our stuff to leave. Even my nephews truck hit a couple places.We would love to stay here for our next visit so hopefully they fix driveway so center isn't so high

Overall, this was not a great experience, and we would not stay here again. The 5PM check-in was the latest we've ever experienced at a beach rental. I requested an earlier check-in since we were driving 2.5 hours with 12 family members, but the "host" quickly denied the request, stating the cleaners needed a full six hours. The home still wasn't very clean when we got there. The counters were sticky, the fridge and freezer were dirty, and there was a musty smell. The listing photos were also misleading. The room layouts and bedroom furniture didn't match the pictures, making it difficult to plan sleeping arrangements ahead for our group. None of the bathroom windows had blinds, curtains, or any coverings, which felt uncomfortable considering the numerous exterior cameras around the property. The biggest disappointment was the "game room," which was really just a cluttered garage with a pool table, cobwebs, and old carpet upstairs. Worse yet, it was infested with rats! We saw one in broad daylight, found droppings, and heard them in the walls, so our boys couldn't use the loft as planned. Checkout was 11AM, and even a one-hour extension was denied. Between the 5PM check-in and 11AM checkout, our "3-day, 2-night" stay amounted to only about 42 hours. If you're looking for a clean, private, accurately represented beach rental, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. We never leave negative reviews, but guests deserve accurate expectations before booking this property. Disappointing.

Location, location, location

Great house for our three generations family trip. Walking distance to the ocean and a terrific beach, reasonable driving to Redwood National and State Parks, groceries and restaurants a short drive up to Brookings, OR. Wonderful stay!

Lola was great to work with and the house was perfect. Very spacious!

We only stayed one night, but I wish it were longer. The home was very comfortable with plenty of space for our party of 12. It was clean and conveniently located to our points of interest. Lola was great to work with! I appreciated her quick communication and flexibility.
