Great location

Easy access to attractions on east side of island and lots of good restaurants near by. Room was clean and true to description.

Great place to stay in Hilo

The property is just as pictured. Quiet , safe neighborhood close to so many attractions and shopping opportunities. The host is exceptional and very helpful with information and recommendations about the area. We will return.

Great room

We needed something simple and close to UH Hilo while we got our daughter settled. We had a mini fridge and microwave in the room which was handy when we were home bound for a day waiting out the tropical storm. Beach chairs, towels, an umbrella and flippers were even available which was so nice. Check out was simple. I thought the bed was comfy and the AC and fan kept the room comfortable. Laundry was $5 and all the supplies are there.

All the basics plus privacy

This property offers quiet and privacy, located as it is at the back of a lot bordering school athletic fields. Budget travelers will find all of the necessities of a hosted property, with the bonus of a small, covered porch with seating to contemplate the colorful foliage. Check-in and check-out, including return of deposit, went well. Finding it at night was a challenge. The fairy lights draped on the host’s mailbox An initial problem of the TV receiving no signal was resolved within 24 hours. A gray, long-haired cat belonging to the host makes occasional appearances, but shyness keeps the encounters brief & distant.

Perfect space

Shared house with other units located in Hilo town. We had no issues with noise, unit was clean, and provided enough amenities for the few days we were there. Space has AC as well which was appreciated. Also, no coqui frogs in this area and that was nice.

Tulle was a wonderful host; she was very warm, friendly, and accommodating to our needs during our stay. Would definitely recommend for a solo traveller or couple.

Excellent value

Cozy and quiet, there is a TV in the room. Great price for what you need.Porch is a great place to eat. Also convenient to all we wanted to see. Free zoo was fun. White Guava and Kens were our favorite restaurants.We would recommend this place

Great downtown Hilo location

Easy check in and check out process. Tulpe was easily accessible with any question or concern. Parking was easy enough if you can parallel park well enough. Quiet location.

Very nice

We booked this kind of last minute for Hawaii and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It was a very cozy and pretty room. The bed was super comfy. And the location was very quiet and seemed safe.

Wonderful stay, wonderful host

Tulpe and her property amazing! Clean, convenient, comfortable! Perfect for our stay while visiting family. A/c not needed much but worked well for brief usage. Quiet unit, could hear birds and relaxing rainfall. Highly recommend!

Happy days

Everything was nice and easy. My hostess was extra nice, always quick to respond to my emails. The room was very comfortable, everything I needed was there for me. The information sheets about things to visit in Hawaii were very helpful. The lights were lit on my lanai everytime I got back after dark, the backyard was nicely mowed and had pretty flowers, every thing was pleasant and nice.

Hôte sympathique, à corrigé immédiatement une erreur dans la facturation. Elle nous a laissé utiliser la laveuse-sécheuse moyennant des frais de 5$, très apprécié. Pas de vaisselle autre que des ustensiles. Endroit bien situé. Chambre est propre mais un peu vieillot. Réponds au standard du prix.

Wonderful district, centrally located from major attraction on the Hilo side. This is a safe and great location to stay and venture out to see all that this side of the island has to offer. Amazing waterfalls, Hawaii Volcano National Park, Beach Parks, Botanical Gardens, Black and Green Sand Beaches, Historic sites, Imi Loa Center, etc. You will need a full week (at the very least) to see, experience and enjoy all that Hilo has to offer.
