Great stay. Plenty of utensils, plates, and kitchenware and we enjoyed the grill on the patio. Parking was easy. Communication was great and extremely easy. Great locarion to all Omni amenities at your own expense. Enjoyed Bobs chophouse and the Omni bar within a short 2-3 minute walk. We will stay here again. Oh yea and the A.C. worked great.

Terrible experience due to unprofessional, belligerent host response to a simple maintenance issue

Dates of Stay: June 13–16thWhile the home was clean and well located, our stay was marred by how the host handled a maintenance issue. It was just the two of us—my boyfriend and I—exploring San Diego on the weekend. On Saturday night, the shower handle fell off, leaving us unable to bathe for the rest of the trip. The host took no steps to repair it during our stay and blamed us, accusing us of causing the damage on purpose.She later forwarded a message in Russian, not realizing my boyfriend is fluent. In it, her handyman wrote (translated), “Let the tenants pay me,” before even inspecting the bathroom or seeing the damage. He assumed it was a difficult repair and discussed charging us, though it was clearly just a broken handle.She insisted he come before our 11 a.m. checkout. When we asked for privacy, she replied, “Just pretend the repairman wasn’t there.”The most upsetting part was when she charged my boyfriend’s credit card 230.58 without his consent or any prior discussion. We only found out days later when he read her email saying: “I’m not going to write a bad review because I understand you didn’t do it on purpose. It was your mistake. Just reimburse me for the expense caused by the mistake.”We left the home spotless and have full documentation—photos, texts, emails, and videos. We don’t want others to have this experience. The host and VRBO can do better.

Shower handle that was loose and came off during routine, gentle use. No repair was done until after we left, leaving us unable to shower - but we were charged for an “emergency repair”!

This is where the loose handle fell off with gentle, normal use. We believe the damage was due to wear-and-tear and dispute the charge, suspecting the invoice was inflated, and reject pushing maintenance costs onto guests.

We left the home spotless and documented everything. We regret ignoring red flags in prior reviews. We’re sharing this to be responsible and to help protect future guests from going through what we went through.

We urge VRBO to do better. Hosts who behave like this—who accuse guests of wrongdoing without evidence, ignore concerns, and charge credit cards without consent—should not be allowed to continue hosting. No guest should ever be treated like this.

A cozy and relaxing getaway! We appreciated having a full kitchen, which gave us extra food options that you dont normally get during vacation. The two bathrooms and pool access were also great. Would highly reccomend for anyone looking to be close to San Diego, but also close to other towns and areas in SoCal.

Omni resort offers many accommodations, unit was not well stocked, needed owner assistance on day of arrival, and they never responded!

Great place to stay esp if you like Tennis!

Wedding trip

Located just inside the gates of the Omni La Costa resort. This suite is an older style spanish theme. Other suites had nicer beds and updated ddecordecor decor.

Pleasant stay

Nice location on the resort property. Has everything we needed and the host was accommodating. Nice size balcony. Note that the tennis courts are behind the unit and the sound starts at 7 am. It was not an unpleasant or loud sound but you can hear it in the unit.

Perfect for a couple

Well-appointed, well-located near Carlsbad shops and amenities, very easy access to La Costa resort facilities, though day membership to pool, tennis etc is expensive. Owner was very responsive when we had an issue with the oven door, resolved. Highly recommend this unit.

Inside the Omni La Costa Resort.

Great place. Foam mattress that’s not for everyone, but some like it. Nice linens and towels. Easy parking downstairs or immediately out front.

This condo was just okay. 1. Needs updated, especially in kitchen 2. Wash cloths. Just 1 for the whole week for 2 people. PM “That is all I have” 🙁 3. Kitchen trash bags. Just 1 for the whole week.

enjoyable stay

the unit was exactly as described, well stocked and enjoyable. we would stay again. r . there are 2 smart tvs but they only use apps or ip tv, no news/sports etc. not really there to watch tv but would be nice to have.

This property is located on the territory of the luxury resort with sport activities, Spa, restorans, shopping. You can buy a day pass to heated pools and Spa or book any sport activity. My condo is close to beach, lagoon with wildlife, luxury cineplex, and more... I definitely like this aria.
