We had a very nice stay at the Superbe Loft St. Germain Des. Pres especially at Christmastime. The loft sits in a fabulous area (one of the few decorated with Christmas lights) and has many cafes and restaurants nearby. It is in walkable proximity to many must-see Parisian sites like Notre Dame and the Louvre. We had just arrived in France, and were a bit jetlagged, which probably explains why the apartment entry door was a little difficult for us to find (there are two doors with the same address, and unfortunately, our taxi driver dropped us off at the wrong door), but Miguel had provided helpful pictures and responded quickly to our messages with the additional information we needed. The apartment itself is comfortable for two - three people. Our 6' 1", adult son slept in the loft. It is good to know that the loft ceiling height is low, so a full-sized adult would not be able to stand up straight. Also, it is important to know that there are 102 steps that get more uneven and slanting the higher you go and the closer you get to the loft, so it was a little tiring to go up, especially with luggage or after a full day of sightseeing. That being said, we found the loft a perfect place to stay for our family and would love to return due to its great neighborhood and proximity to the sights!

Amazing location and host! The apartment is a bit quirky… ask host about how key works to get in, codes for doors, how to use coffee maker, etc when arriving. The apartment is not perfect but again, the location and host make up for it! The stairs were not as challenging as we expected. Definitely recommend!

Die Unterkunft, wie man sieht ist mit einem Blitz aufgenommen das selbst der Fernseher fast weis ist.Real grauer und veraltet.Die Unterkunft ist im 8. Stock (102 Stufen): Die Wohnungstür aus massiven Holz lässt sich nur mit Gewalt öffnen indem man zwei Arme hat und rütteln kann, dann erst kann man die Tür mit dem Schlüssel öffnen. Ich habe nur ein Arm. Das wichtigste überhaupt ist der Versprochene Parkplatz der gar nicht vorhanden ist. Die Rücksprache mit dem Veranstalter FeWo hat nichts gebracht. Auch der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter gleich null. Ich bin sehr sehr enttäuscht und werde im Zukunft den Veranstalter FeWo meiden.

Great location, close to shops and restaurants. Building is through the courtyard and on the top floor. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and in the flat.

Host was excellent and very responsive. Very comfortable space tucked away on the top floor of a very old and unique building. 4 stars was selected for family friendly as it quite a few stairs to the unit (accurately reported in listing to be fair). Loved the loft bed. Beautifully decorated and bed linens were clean and comfy! Host provided excellent recommendations on dining spots. Easy walk to museums and Notre Dame.

Wonderful stay! The place was very cozy and clean. The neighborhood and location was amazing. The host had fantastic communication and when our towels weren’t in the place, he brought them within an hour, late at night. I would recommend to anyone and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The apartment is in a great location, and the host communicated very well and quickly. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as clean as we’d like and the landlord arrived unannounced to show the place to potential renters. We found out the landlord got the showing date wrong which is fine but it turned us off especially because it was so unexpected. We also never met with the renter/landlord since it was self check in so we didn’t know for sure if the people coming into the unit were who they said they were. Besides the unnerving encounter, the apartment is quiet, near a grocery store, and near bars, restaurants and shopping.

Upon arrival to Paris, I reached out to the property manager for information on credited taxis. The pm gave me the name of the official taxis and the estimated cost so that I wouldn’t get ripped off. He also dropped a pin for me. Upon arriving at the property which wasn’t far from Norde train station, I felt that we were spared the “tourist” area and stepped out of the taxi into the authenticity of Paris. I wanted to be nearer to the “locals”. The property was clearly visible and all the pics that the pm sent to me were helpful in getting into the flat which is on the third floor and don’t expect an elevator/lift. It was great exercise. Be sure to utilize the buttons on the wall to shine light on the staircase. Upon entering the flat itself. Everything was just as cute as the pictures on line. It was quaint and had everything we needed from an iron and board to a proper coffee machine. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots and pans and eating utensils. Everything we need was in good working order. It does not have a stand-up shower but does have a sprayer to rinse off properly after a lovely bath in a contour bathtub.We dropped off our bags and quickly made tracks to the nearby restaurants. The food is amazing and close as were the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and the Louvre. Also close by was the pickup point for a tour we took to Verseilles and Giverny (Monet’s Garden). We loved this property and its location to everything. We will be back!

You went above and behind with hospitality and it made Paris even more special for my little family!The loft was clean and had everything we needed. Cute apartment in the heart of Paris. We walked to all the main sites from here. The apartment had a wonderful homey feel for me and my family. Would recommend to anyone coming to Paris. Host was attentive and clearly explained everything we needed for our stay.

The appartment is typically Parisian small but quaint. It is well appointed, has everything you need. Beds are comfortable and linens are more than adequate. Amazing location, close to cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacy. Metro is close by. Walking distance to Notre Dame and the Louvre. Checking in was not clear but once we figured it out, all good. I would just caution anyone with limited mobility to look elsewhere due to the many steps to get to the 5th floor. Owner frequently checked in on us if we needed anything which was appreciated.Overall great place to rent for short visits to Paris.

Best location for Paris!

Miguel was a fantastic host. His cleaning lady called in sick, so he personally cleaned our unit before we arrived. Upon arrival, here carried my bags up the stairs. (Stairs are wooden, spiral, to the top floor so make sure you are ok with that if you book.) I love that the building and stairs are obviously old, giving it an old-world charm. It’s like the Paris in the movies, but not the big fancy hotel, but the personal regular-people experience. The furnishings are exactly as pictured, though the pull-out couch was a bit old and my oldest son opted to share the loft with the middle son because it was too uncomfortable.I appreciated that the toilet and washer were in a separate room from the bathtub, which has a handheld sprayer to “shower.” We ended up having to use the washer and drying racks, so I was grateful to have them!The location is truly superb. It could not be more ideally located to wonderful cafes and shops of St. Germain des Pres. It’s a 4 minute walk to the Apple Store, but I was also able to find a London to Paris converter for much cheaper at other places, so returned the charger I bought there. It’s also super easy to walk to the Louvre, McDonald’s (my sons really wanted to try European McDonald’s and the quality of ingredients is so much better than America), Arc de Triumphe, Notre Dame, Luxembourg gardens, and more. It was also an easy walk to ride the Batobus back and forth to the Eiffel Tower, and easy access to Big Bus stops, and the subway.

Lofty loft!

My 15 yrs old grandson and I (his grandmere) had the perfect stay. The apartment is exactly as described and the photos accurate. The a/c worked beautifully and were a relief on the hot and humid days, the bathroom and toilet being separate proved a lifesaver considering our family configuration. Same for the bed in the loft and the bed on the living level. On top of that, our host was the most gracious ever, easy to communicate with and very generous with all, even gifting us a delightful breakfast on the morning of our departure. One thing to keep in mind: there is no lift and the 102 steps to the apartment are not for the out of shape. Location-wise: if you are looking for a place in the 6th, this apartment can't be beat. Would give 10 stars if the site would have that option!

Fabulous Location!!

The apartment is located near a ton of wonderful cafes and restaurants but is quiet beyond the courtyard doors. Grab take away sandwiches from Cosi (right outside the door) to eat in Jardin du Luxembourg - amazing! Miguel is a great host and even brough us fresh towels and pastries during our stay. The air conditioning unit was a plus during the July heatwave. Just know there are a lot of stairs to get to the apartment but worth it for the location.
