The Red Dragon House

The Red Dragon House is a great location for those who wish to discover Ashland, along with the southern Rogue Valley, but still get that rural feeling while remaining only minutes from town. The single-story house is spacious at nearly 1,000 square feet, and features mountain views of the southern Rogue Valley. The house features a large open living room/kichen area, with lots of counter space, two well-appointed bedrooms and a bathroom shower, suitable for those with mild handicaps, and has three decks from which to choose, all on a property that is 5.2 acres, in a rural neighborhood, that's quiet. All this only five minutes from the nearest restaurants and markets, and ten minutes from Downtown Ashland, and the Mt. Ashland Ski Area is only 19 miles away!

While the neighborhood is quiet, it should be mentioned that the property is adjacent to I-5, which makes getting to us easy, but does provide some road noise. So, if it's total quiet you require, this may not be the best fit for you, though the there is no road noise inside the house.

This place was wonderful! The directions for getting to the place were clear and easy to follow. The beds were quite comfortable, everything in the kitchen was labeled, and the covered back porch area was the best way to spend time outside enjoying all of the beautiful oak trees in the area. It was a perfect place for our mother-daughter (and dog) mini vacation. Speaking of dogs. . . I don't think I have every stayed in a place that was so dog-friendly. . . it included a separate deck in the enclosed dog area! The hosts were very friendly!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Red Dragon house. It had everything we could possibly need plus more. My friends dog, miniature schnauzer, was welcome and the unit/property had everything needed to make everyone comfortable. I would definitely book again next time visiting the area.

We had a wonderful time -- very clean, and so organized (no searching around in the kitchen for what you need, it's all labeled and stored neatly). Hosts were gracious and very responsive when we had a question. Gorgeous land -- while it is close to the freeway, we found that inside or even on the lovely back porch, it was not bothersome at all. Minutes from downtown Ashland, yet feels like a private oasis. We also really appreciated how thoughtful they are for bringing your puppers! She *loved* the home. Thank you, Mike and Mindy!
