Just one block from the ocean, you can enjoy panoramic views of the water, harbor, and lighthouse from this lovely home. Fun is the name of the game here - enjoy a game of foosball in the living area whenever you're not relaxing on one of the three furnished balconies with ocean views. Have a post-beach cookout on the private gas grill, or assemble a complete meal in the full kitchen. This lovely open space features an extra-long prep island that doubles as a breakfast bar, a deluxe French door fridge, and windows that let in all the natural light you can stand. Down on the lowest floor, the laundry room features a deep sink perfect for hand-washing swimsuits. All you have to worry about is planning your next walk over to the beach.

Come in through the bright yellow front door. One versatile guest bedroom uses a futon, a TV, and a view of the surrounding neighborhood. Another features a fun Sasquatch-themed mural and a private furnished balcony. But younger guests will prefer the bedroom with bunk beds, a TV, and plenty of extra seating. The home's main bedroom features amenities such as a private deck entrance, a desk workspace, and an en suite bathroom with a standalone shower. Each bedroom is carefully curated with bright touches, so you may have trouble deciding which one to sleep in!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Shame on me – I didn’t get my review in faster!So, let’s look at the minor negatives we had. The trash can was already full outside (we had to smash in, then leave bags near it. There were a couple of blinds that were broken. The bunk beds were a little wobbly and the stairs are a little steep. (We had 4 generations there, so Great Gram just had to go very slowly – but they had very sturdy railing for her to hold on to!) If you have someone who has a hard time with stairs, just keep in mind that the living room and kitchen are on the second floor.As for the positives! All that being said – EVERY single time I texted or had questions with our representative, they responded immediately and gave me easy to follow instructions or information. It was fantastic the way they responded!!!House was close to everything – redwoods, lighthouse, docks, plenty of beaches, museum, etc. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. Everything and more that we needed in the kitchen was there. We even found an electric griddle, so we had nice pancake breakfasts on a few mornings. We went for the 4th of July. Great Gram was a bit tired, so I stayed with her, and we were able to watch the fireworks from the dining room! It was great. The rest of the family went down to the beach to watch and had a great time. Very nice and friendly neighbors across the street - we all shared our fireworks. Felt at home, and we will be staying here again!

We stayed during 4th of July for most of the week, and Great Gram was worn out, so I stayed with her and watched, VERY CLEARLY, the fireworks on the deck outside of the kitchen that they have at the lighthouse. It was great. The rest of the group headed on down to the beach near the lighthouse and had a fantastic time. The neighbors across the street were very friendly and we were able to watch their fireworks show as well. When the rest of the group got back, we then did our personal fireworks and they stayed out to enjoy those also. Wonderful evening. The kitchen was stocked with pretty much everything we needed and more in regard to everything cooking related! We even found an electric grill, so had great pancake breakfasts on a few of the days. It was great to be able to cook everything we wanted to without having to worry about kid’s choices, vegetarian, low-cal, etc. Everyone’s at a different place in their food right now, but we had no problems! Nice big fridge and freezer held everything we needed and had tons of room left. So close to everything we wanted – Ocean, Redwoods and waves and waves. I will rent this house again.

The views were spectacular from every direction. We could hear the ocean and decks were lovely with view of lighthouse. So close to beach. Convenient to redwood national and state parks. Highly recommend.

Natural Beauty and Comfort

Our family spent spring break at THIS IS IT. We enjoyed the spotless and comfortable home with all its amenities. The beach is a short jaunt away, which thrilled my daughter to no end. We spent lots of time there. Even those who stay at the house can enjoy the view of the ocean and the Battery Point Lighthouse. The house is comfy (though we missed a King size bed) and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed cooking meals as well as ordering in. Lots of games to keep our family entertained.

Great family Vacation Home

We had a great stay here! The location was great for lots of local activities like beach combing, and visiting the Redwoods. The house was beautiful and we all had plenty of space. The ocean views were great as well. The only issues were there were a few ants through the house, and that the main TV is a projectors so can't be used during the daytime. Other than that we had no issues

We enjoyed our stay. Good location to all the parks. Pretty decor. Note to other guests that most restaurants close at 7pm in town. A variety of cooking spices to provide for guests would be nice as we stayed5 nights. It was nice to have sound machine…thank you. Great stay very clean an fun place. , we would definitely recommend this house.

Great Redwoods Home Base!

Between the views, the space for everyone, and the entertainment options, we enjoyed downtime at the house nearly as much as the wide array of amazing things to do nearby. It was extremely clean and comfortable and has everything you need and more for the whole family to enjoy between exploring the redwoods, hanging out at the beach or any of the numerous things Crescent City has to offer.

Review

The check in process was super easy! Really nice views of the light house and beach! Super close beach access if you wanted to hang out at the beach all day. Super quiet neighborhood. Really close to downtown area where the local brewery is and parks if you have children. The house itself was clean upon entering. However, after further inspection, there were some things in the house that didn’t seem well maintained. There was a broken faucet so we couldn’t access cold water in the bathroom downstairs and the dishwasher had no power to it. The tv upstairs was a protector so it made it hard to watch tv. But, the kitchen was really nice, all new appliances and was really well stocked. The communication was difficult because it was through a management company and not talking straight to the owner. So there were delayed responses. Overall, it was a great stay. Very kid friendly! Except it does have stairs so be prepared for that. Loved that the outside was all fenced in and the kids could run around freely.

Great Home to vacation in.

Loved the size/space it offered. Plenty of bathrooms, bedrooms, and beds. It was clean and had a very well stocked kitchen. Very clean and the staff was very responsive and pleasant to work with. The location is fantastic to hangout at the beach and to see all the Redwoods have to offer. We’ll be coming back!

Perfect family stay

The home is a beautiful location. The tide pools are just a block away! The home is nicely stocked with kitchen equipment, puzzles, games, and cozy blankets. We loved our stay and would 100% come back again. Hiking in redwoods was amazing and only a short drive away.

Perfect stay! The house was very clean and well-stocked with games, puzzles, beach chairs, and kitchen utensils. The view is gorgeous! The beach is just 1 block away and the tide pools are outstanding. We saw anemones, starfish, and so many fun creatures. The caretakers were responsive and great to work with. I would stay again.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location! Great view of the lighthouse and ocean, loved walking down to the beach in the morning to explore the tide pools. Kids loved the projector for movies at night. Amazing place to unwind after a long day hiking in the redwoods. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Great property but no storage for bikes or gear

The property and location were great. The written info on the property says security cameras at the home but apparently they don't work. We brought our bikes to ride in the Redwoods with our family. No access to garage at all and no room in the house for bikes or gear. We locked them up in the back of the truck with cable and heavy duty lock and on bike rack with the cable through it. In the middle of the night the cable was cut with bolt cutter and 2 brand new e bikes and newer mountain bike were stolen and bike rack was ruined totaling over $15,000.00. It would have been good to know that the garage wasn't available specifically in writing on the written information. The management and upper management supervisor were of no help at all to us in the situation. No security camera footage was available from them or from homeowners. The truck was parked in the driveway right in front of a camera. Basically too bad for you that your bikes were stolen from the property. Bike theft in the area is rampant come to find out. People from our home town had their e bikes stolen in town there within an hour and a half from arriving after we were just there in early May 2023. The police department was very helpful throughout the process. We will come back to stay in the area but won't be bringing any bikes or gear. Enjoy the property and time in the area.

Ok Stay

The property was clean upon arrival. The beds were comfortable enough. Amenities were ok. We were told there would be coffee but there wasn’t. There were some cappuccino pods but the brewing machine created solid cappuccino. We were not able to find additional trash bags and when I called to find out where they might be I got a response that they only provide 2 per visit and no assistance as to where the second one might be. I was told to go buy some. At our time of checkout we found the additional bag at the bottom of the recycling can. Location was central to the Redwoods and close to the shoreline.
