A comfortable and family friendly home located in a gated community with an updated interior located in the popular Colington Harbour subdivision. W-fi is provided along with Dish TV in the family room, two bedrooms have tv's where you can use your subscriptions to Hulu, and other entertainment venues. The kitchen has granite countertops with new appliances with sturdy Pergo floors thru out. - Provided for guests: towels bath & beach, bed linens, coffee, paper products, bottled water, laundry products, and complementary toiletries.

Wonderful week

We all enjoyed our stay! Location was in a quiet neighborhood close to activities, food, and shopping. The children really enjoyed the pool and soundside beach!

First OBX stay

We had a great trip overall and we loved the little home, with a few minor details it would have been wonderful!! The location soundside with all the amenities definitely helped when we had some down time between activities! The host was great.

Great House and Location!

This was the perfect place for us! We were close to the beach but in a nice residential area. The kiddos has a blast!

Amazing stay!

The house was great. Went with myself and my 3 kids ages 8 to 13. Location is close to so many fun things and places to eat/shop. Pool was wonderful! Beach is about a 10min drive. We really enjoyed how pea eful the Sound was. Overall amazing place!

Great place to stay!

We loved staying in this house in a quiet gated community. The community pool was lovely. The kitchen is wonderful. Everyone liked being able to control the temperature in their bedroom. Linens and towels included. Really no complaints. I would definitely stay here again. My daughters loved staying here.

Cozy, loved beach/pool access

We had a lovely time. My kids loved being able to bike to the sound and pool access in the evenings. Wish there was ac in the master bedroom.

Great beach week!

My dad, 2 boys and I spent a week in this cozy beach house! Everything was very clean and comfortable. It felt like a home away from home. We love the location as well. Colington has a great little community with an awesome sound side beach that’s perfect for kids. It also has a nice pool when you want a break from the sand. We are looking forward to vacationing here again next year! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Great house on Colington Island

Great house at reasonable rate.T-Hasley is a great host and answered all my questions quickly, check in and out was super easy. Colington is a fun island, neighborhood was nice, a little busy, but it’s the season. The cleaning crew was not great, we cleaned the entire house upon arrival. The neighborhood Pool, harbor and sound access was really nice. The central AC is broken, so window units in every room, and a mini split in the main area, it kept the house very cool and comfortable. I did mow the lawn with provided mower due the grass being so high. Id stay again.

Clean and well stocked

The house was nice, very clean and well stocked with all the supplies we needed. The house is in a gated community so it felt very friendly and safe. The pool and sound-side beach and playground are one mile away. The ocean-side beach is not more than a 5 mile drive. The owner/manager was very easy to contact and super responsive.

Easy access to ocean and sound.

Very good stay. Easy access to boat ramp. Only about 7 minutes to get to the Atlantic Ocean with clean beaches. Great view of the stars from the deck. Plenty of space for our family. Plenty of parking in the drive for our boat and wave runner. Neighborhood was very busy but not loud. There was tons of places to eat in short drive distances. Host was very prompt in answering any questions.

Very nice home!

This was a very nice home to stay at and visit local attractions. It was very clean and had nice room for everyone. We ended up going with 6 people which included a baby. I was glad they had a washer and dryer. It is down stairs though. You do need to drive about a mile for the pool. We did not get to use this. It is a little drive to the beach. I do not recommend the local pizza there. It was very expensive and our family did not like it so it was a waste of money. I do recommend this home if you are looking in this area.

Nice, quiet stay by the sound!

This place certainly hit all needs for our stay! The most wonderful part is the private little beach on the sound. It’s part of an HOA type community and the small beach is well maintained with swings, playground and tables right there. We were there in April so not busy at all, I’m guessing it gets busier during the summer. It’s close to the house with ample parking. You could walk, but with all the kid stuff I didn’t even try , plus there are no sidewalks. The actual ocean beach is about a 10 min drive from the house. The house was very nice. The only things that were hard for us was that the WIFi wasn’t working when we arrived and not fixed for two days, but the owner was very responsive to get it fixed, it would just have been great to check prior to our arrival. Also, the master bed was a bit too soft for me and I slept on the couch. But the couch is super comfy! It’s in a great area, close to everything and we’ll maintained!

Great house, great neighborhood and great management

The house is located in a private neighborhood on the sound side in the harbor that has security watching who is coming and going. Great added piece of mind for us. Neighborhood is quiet. House is great. It was clean and stocked with most essential items that you need (paper towels, TP) and even a few added extra items like extra K-cups of coffee and and sweetener. There is even a small table downstairs that has decorated rocks in them where you are encouraged to take one to remember your trip. There were shower razors and shaving cream and even a couple little folding tooth brushes. These were an added little extra touch that we thought was nice. Not sure if some of the things were left behind from the previous guests so we left about a case of water and some extra paper towels for the next guests. Kind of "pay it forward". The pool and sound side beach area are nice. These are located a short couple minute drive deeper into the neighborhood at the marina area. There was plenty of parking for us there. We were able to do some crabbing and fishing at the marina area and swim at the beach area. Very nice little area for kids and the water has a roped off area. Pool is a nice size and has an area for a sun deck over looking the pool and the sound/beach area and there is a small snack room along with restrooms. The house is located about a nice little 10 minute drive from the ocean. Great little house. Owner was great with communication. Quick responses.

Would stay again

We had a wonderful time and felt right at home. The house was clean and neat. It was close proximity to the main strip and the bay. The pool was a great feature included. All in all our family of five created some great memories!

Quiet and relaxing

Cute place. Had pretty much everything we needed to stay for the week, didn't have to bring much from home, which was nice. Quiet neighborhood tho you can still hear the cars at night, stays busy on this road. The weather was beautiful for our week, low humidity which was awesome. Pool/sound area is lovely. Would be nice to have a tv in master bedroom as all other rooms have a tv.

Excellent Get Away!

This house was perfect for me, my adult daughter and her boyfriend! It was clean, comfortably decorated and had so many thoughtful touches! The bed linens were clean, crisp and soft! The bath linens were fluffy and white and were plentiful! Even the kitchen had towels that were nice! Every appliance you could want was available and had a storage place so the kitchen was not cluttered. The host allows you to leave items behind so we walked into a refrig with a few eggs and a kitchen with paper plates, cutlery and dish soap, trash bags and dishwasher soap. The bathrooms had special touches with lotions, makeup remover wipes and other touches to make you feel welcomed. There is no central air but the window units were quiet and the whole house was comfortable and at night we slept under blankets. There is a storm door on the front door so you can leave the front door open and let the sun shine in dirk g the day. There is a nice open deck and enclosed deck! It was a wonderful week! Thank you!

OBX Base Camp

Our experience here was great. The house and location were awesome and we loved being able to go down to the beach at the sound with our little ones. We really enjoyed the quieter atmosphere here compared to other properties on the ocean side.

Clean and cozy

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The property manager was very prompt in responding to my messages before our arrival and left us a kind note and snacks in the kitchen. The property was clean, probably the cleanest of any vacation rental I’ve stayed in. The house is older with some nice updates. The shower and tub seem older and show their age. The house is near many activities but not adjacent to the main road. It’s about a 4 mile drive off the main road. That may be a plus or minus depending on the vacationer. The house had everything we needed and was a great fit for us. The living room was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-supplied.
