This beautiful 2nd floor unit is located in a very accessible spot of Building#5 at the Kona Makai. Don't have to walk too far from the parking area to the unit! The property has 687 interior square feet, with 2 lanais, totaling 172 square feet! Outdoor Dining Seating Available!

Kona Makai is one of the premier sought after oceanfront condo developments in Kona. It's near the heart of Kailua town. Ideal location near shopping, restaurants, and the beach at the Kailua pier.

Lush tropical gardens greet you on the walkway to the ocean front pool and hot tub. Dream away the hours watching whales in season or dip in the pool or spa. Large BBQ area with kitchen and tables.

Fitness center is well equipped with stationary bikes, tread mill and free weights for indoor workouts. Tennis courts above the covered parking area.

This was one of our favorite properties to stay at! The condo was very spacious, kitchen had most of what we needed, and the views were beautiful. It was easy to get into, management was quick to respond whenever we needed anything. The community had easy parking and very quiet and relaxing environment. It was also very central to lots of food and shops. We would defiantly stay here again!!

Perfect condo for Big Island holidays.

It was very nice place for holidays in Big Island. Really quiet and comfortable. I recommend to bring your shampoo and detergents with you.

Great vacation rental

This condo unit is a great place to relax and enjoy the best of Kona. Situated to get the best ocean views and awesome nightly sunsets, Kona Makai is an easy drive or walk along Ali'i Drive to the shops and restaurants of Kona. The unit has all the amenities required to make this an easy escape! Loved this condo and would highly recommend it.

Lovely place

Loved the push button entry! No keys to keep track of. Lovely bed, lots of pillows! Everything you need! Chairs, cooler, umbrella all here. Pool is wonderful( a zillion rules unfortunately posted) but very nice. Clean, great bbqs and area to eat by the ocean, lounges for sunset watching. 2 balconys!

I wish the pool was open later than 9pm (since there is no lifeguard anyway). Great views, close to all of the shops and restaurants. We will be staying here again when we come back!

Beautiful Condo and Grounds

This condo is definitely kept up well. The items in the kitchen make it very easy to do a quick breakfast every morning. The bed is extremely comfortable – – firm mattress with just the right amount of firmness. Kona Makai is in a very good location in Kailua Kona. This is our fourth visit to this area. There are ample towels in the unit. Watching the sunset from the pool area is like looking at a postcard—simply BEAUTIFUL!!! Knutson & Associates is quick to respond to any minor concerns that arise.

I do wish you had not listed this property as a OCEAN FRONT property. It has a thin sliver of a view of the ocean IF you lean over the railing in the lanai and cran your neck you may be able lucky. The main view is of the condos opposite the property.

Everything we needed and we like staying at the Kona Makai for location and some of their amenities. We were looking forward to the lounge chair (pictured in the property description) for relaxing and napping but it has been replaced with a rocking chair ;-) Overall, very clean, comfortable plus had items like coolers and boogie boars that we always need / use.
