The Cozy Apartment on the South Coast (Het Boetje) was a great choice. It’s on the edge of Lagoa, just a short walk to the ocean path. The apartment was super comfortable, especially the living room. It was the perfect size for us, well-designed, decorated, furnished, and absolutely immaculate. There are two outdoor sitting areas, both with incredible views of the ocean. We enjoyed a glass of wine every evening on the upper deck. The shower was A and the kitchen had all necessities. Parking was super easy, the spot in front of the apartment was always open. The apartment and neighborhood were perfectly quiet. The neighborhood was safe and secure. The washing machine was quick. The owner was warm and welcoming; check-in and check-out were flawless. As frequent travelers, we always appreciate attention to details, and the apartment was clearly presented by someone who knows travelers’ needs. Thank you!!!

Gemütlich eingerichtete Ferienwohnung, man fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt. Zur Wohnung gehören 2 Balkone mit blick auf den Atlantik und einen Grillplatz im kleinen schön angelegten kleinen Garten. Die Lage der Wohnung ist ideal für Ausflüge. In der Umgebung gibt es mehrere Restaurants und einen kleinen Supermarkt, alles in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.Die Vermieterin bereitete uns einen recht herzlichen Empfang und gab uns tolle Insider-Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt.Wir können die Wohnung nur weiterempfehlen.

Die Wohnung liegt in einer kleinen Stadt (oder großes Dorf), hat Charme und ist komplett ausgestattet. Es ist alles vorhanden. So gibt es in der Küche auch einen kleinen Vorrat an Öl, Essig und Gewürze. Im Bad gibt es Seife, Shampoo und ausreichend Handtücher. Das Bett hat eine hervorragende Matratze. Draußen gibt es mehrere Sitzgelegenheiten. Wenn sie so etwas suchen: Es herrscht absolute Ruhe im und um das Haus. Manchmal hört man die Kirchenglocken. Der Blick von den Terrassen geht über den Garten hinweg direkt auf das Meer. Danke an Vermieterin Karen. Sie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In Vorfeld unserer Anreise wurden alle Fragen schnell beantwortet. Wir waren nur mit dem Bus unterwegs und es hat sehr gut funktioniert. Informieren sie sich jedoch genau über die Abfahrtszeiten und die Haltestellen.

Super Wohnung in einer super Lage

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Gastgeberin Karen ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit.Die Lage mit Blick auf den Atlantik lässt keine Wünsche offen. Sehr gute Restaurants sind fussläufig zu erreichen. Kann ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, gemütliche Einrichtung, mit Liebe zum Detail. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet mit allem was man benötigt. Die beiden Terrassen sind mit Meerblick, was wir sehr genossen haben. Die Gastgeberin ist super nett, hat uns beraten, welche Sehenswürdigkeiten unbedingt besucht werden sollten. Sie ist hilfsbereit und hat uns bei Fragen unterstützt. Wir würden die Wohnung jederzeit wieder mieten.

Exceptional Stay in Azores

Where to start? The experience at Karen's wonderful "Het Boetje" was top notch. The apartment, on a quiet seafront street, is traditional, spacious, comfortable, fully equipped and quirky in a very good way. There are 3 outdoor options, including a small elevated deck area with an uninterrupted view of the sea. What a spot for your morning coffee. As for host Karen, I found a very warm and welcoming person who ensured my stay was excellent in all respects. If I am fortunate enough to return to the Azores one day, guess what will be the first place I will try to book.

Relaxing vacation

My husband and I traveled to the Azores and stayed at Karen’s place. We had everything we needed. She was a gracious host. Our flight to Ponta Delgada was late arriving. We rented a car and had a hard time finding her place as it was dark She met us at a location and we followed her to her place.

Karen was a wonderful host, she is a great communicator, the house was clean, and had so many extra little things that made the stay that much better. A beautiful view of the ocean, and the backyard was full of lovely flowers and plants. I will for sure book with Karen again, and my fiancée and I are recommending her to our family and friends.

Gemütliche Ferienwohnung in der Altstadt

Die Ferienwohnung liegt in der Altstadt von Lagoa. Die Straßen sind sehr eng und es ist morgens laut, was wir aber wussten. Die Wohnung ist mit alten Möbeln eingerichtet und es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Trotz Anreise um 01.00 nachts wartete die Vermieterin auf uns. Es waren Lebensmittel für den ersten Tag vorhanden. Für Leute, die es gemütlich mögen, empfehlenswert. Wer modernen Komfort haben möchte, sollte lieber ins Hotel gehen oder eine entsprechende Wohnung mieten.

It was a rare experience to live there during one month, and share Karen's home, with independance, quietness, and joyfull presence. Discovering the islands as well as enjoying the authentic beauty of the dwelling among marvelous trees and flowers in front of the wide sea.

Großzügige Ferienwohnung mit Meerblick

Wir haben unsere Woche in Santa Cruz/Lagoa sehr genossen. Der Ort ist der perfekte Ausgangspunkt, um die Insel zu erkunden. Die Wohnung bietet viel Platz für zwei Personen, vor allem die beiden Balkone/Terrassen sind ein großer Pluspunkt. Die Fotos geben die Atmosphäre gut wieder. Karen ist eine äußerst sympatische und angenehme Gastgeberin, die uns trotz der späten Stunde einen sehr herzlichen Empfang bereitet hat. Danke für alles!

Nicht schön aber auch nicht hässlich

Da das Wetter der zweiten Woche azoreanisch-aprilwetter-lich war, konnten wir zwar alle Aktivitäten durchführen, aber immer mit Regenjacke. Die Unterkunft war oldfashioned- urgemütlich. Lagoa ist nicht schön aber auch nicht hässlich.

Appartement avec cachet

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans les Açores, en grande partie en raison de l'appartement confortable que nous avons occupé et de l'hospitalité discrète de Karen, l'amicale propriétaire, et de son chien Fritz! Karen nous attendait avec quelques provisons, ce qui a facilité notre "installation", nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Le jardin contient un immense palmier ainsi que diverses plantes que nous pouvons admirer de l'une ou l'autre des trois terrasses, avec l'océan en arrière-plan. Apaisant, et, avec les cloches de l'église à proximité, qui sonnaient tous les quarts d'heure, très ... pittoresque! 😉 Karen nous a aussi fait de bonnes suggestions de randonnées et de lieux à visiter sur l'île. Nous avons eu des conversations intéressantes sur l'histoire et le contexte social de Sáo Miguel. Merci, Karen! 😊Nous recommandons fortement cet appartement!

Peaceful, and quiet views of the sea

Very nice apartment, thoughtfully decorated and features 2 balconies with views of the ocean. My favorite time was sitting with a glass of wine looking out into the sea and hearing nothing! Coming from Lisboa and Porto, it was a welcomed change. The apartment has everything you need and nothing you don't, and the owner was very helpful in helping us get to it. We got lost and she met us partway to lead us to it. She also had a bottle of wine, orange juice and water in the fridge upon our arrival - A very nice, and welcome touch for weary travelers! I highly recommend this little jewel in Lagoa, Sao Miguel! Thank you!

Super Lage und Meerblick

Wir haben sehr schöne zwei Wochen in der Unterkunft verbracht. Es ist alles da was man braucht und die zwei Terrassen bieten je nach Wetter einen passenden Platz mit Meerblick. Die Lage ist perfekt um die ganze Insel zu erkunden. Supermärkte und gute Restaurants befinden sich in Laufweite. Karen hat uns sehr nett empfangen und uns bei Bedarf Tipps zu Aktivitäten und Restaurants gegeben.
