The property was somewhat clean upon arrival only a few things were dirty such as unswept un-mopped floors along with some utensils being dirty. The main issue we had staying here was upon check in there was no working AC in the 90 house. It was terrible unpacking in the heat not knowing if it was going to be fixed or not. Eventually, it was unbearable and we had to reach out again to the property owner for some solution because this was not acceptable. The listing stating this property had working air conditioning and that’s what we expected when checking in especially for the price. The solution was solved by adding a window AC unit to the property to help cool down the house and finally the next day it was cooled down enough to finally relax but by that time the stress had already took a toll on our trip.

I booked this Getaway By the Beach over a month in advance. I drove over nine hours to get there, and my other family drove six hours to get to the property. Thirty minutes before we were to check in, which was at 4pm, I received a message that my four night reservation had been canceled and was no longer available due to an issue with the A/C. No attempt to direct us to a different property nor a hotel which could accommodate our family and pets (which is why we chose this specific listing). Being in a strange state/city with family and dogs with no where to stay at the end of a day when we have all been driving was horrendous. The next day, we noticed this listing was available again - no attempt was made to reach out to allow us to resume the reservation (not that we would have), although I did receive a fairly quick refund.

Perfect getaway near beach

Owner was very responsive and helpful. We were close enough to walk to the beach and they had everything we needed.
