Overall the house was good it accommodated our needs for the week. The house is a little different than what is in the pictures and the owner should update the images. The baths are different and there wasn't any bedroom furniture in the bedrooms other than beds. (no dressers or end tables) The office did have a bed and desk and lockable doors which is nice. The livingroom no longer has that comfy looking couch that is in the picture, but there is a new set with seating for 5 or 6 pushing it. If you rent the house bring your supplies paper towels, dish towels, oven mits etc .. there's not many extras. Also this is not a "chef" kitchen so if you plan on cooking you will do a lot of improvising, i did not find any oven pans, mixing bowls etc. They do have pots and pans for the stove top. The two bathrooms did not have many hand towels, each bathroom was supplied with one hand towel & one wash cloth. Outside also did not look as great as the picture, it feels neglected . There is only one lounger on the deck no other loungers were provided and it did have a table with chairs. What was great about the backyard was our two adult boys had a blast catfishing at night. Also they do let you use the 3 kayaks on the property. We knew there is a tiki bar across the lagoon it does have bands and is loud., We didn't mind it and you don't hear it from inside the home. The owner was very quick and responsive to our questions.

Nice place

Nice place to stay everything was great. The only drawback was that the pool didn’t work for the first three days and a shortage of paper products.

This was a great property. Looks just like the pic. Bring paper towels as none are provided. The one and only small complaint I would say is knives could use an upgrade! Other than that everything was lovely!

We hope to return

House was perfect for us. My husband and son loved being able to just walk out the door and fish. They caught several fish and crabs. Daughter loved the pool/spa and spent several hours in it over the week. We had an electrical issue and the host had it fixed before the end of the day. Short drive to the beach with minimal traffic so worked out great. Nice quiet neighborhood. Everything was perfect and we hope to return in the future.

Nice place to relax

Nice property with excellent outdoor space. Sun all day long. Minor maintenance issues and cleaning are needed. Restaurant across the canal was great. No paddle for kayak. Nice neighborhood for walks. Water smells strange in the area, noticed it at multiple places. Overall a good stay

Amazing

The pictures don’t do this house justice. We came into town to celebrate by Great Aunts 100 th Bday in Venice. The location was perfect we were central to everything we wanted to do. The house also has a washer & dryer which was perfect so I didn’t need to bring so much stuff with me. Loved the crabbing traps, pool nights on back deck area & the views in the morning.. stunning. Linh was very hospitable allowing us to check in 2 hrs early and checking out an hour later then the check out time. We had a Little issue with water not working but a simple call to Linh & 5 mins later someone was at house to fix the problem. Within 10 mins of calling the water was back & running and no other issues the rest of the trip. Thank you again Linh. Sincerely Malissa

Fantastic!

This is a really wonderful house. Very clean. Everything provided. The location is perfect on the river, and with its own little "beach". You can tell so much love has gone into making this house, inside and out. Kids (7-9) loved the yard and especially the pool and the "beach". Lots of animals around (birds, etc.) and the Myakka National Park next door is unbelivable. There is a restaurant next door across the canal, but it did not bother us at all: the music was on only occasionally, was quiet, and inside you couldn't hear it at all. (Excellent windows!) It would have been great to have had a washer and dryer though. We hope we can stay again soon!

Home on Myakka River

This property is wonderful! The location is very convenient for fishing, kayaks and relaxing! The home is just as the pictures show. It is very well maintained. Linh was very helpful and prompt with the booking! Thank you for a great vacation!!

What you get is better than what you see!

This property was better than the photos. The inside was very clean, spacious and had everything needed for a great stay. We were very happy with the privacy too. The pool was perfect to cool off in. It was an easy drive (20minutes) to Englewood beach for dinner and the sunset. We would recommend this home.

We absolutely loved the privacy and location

Home is in a good location close to everything we needed. We visited Boca, Venice, Siesta Key, and Punta Gorda and they were all fairly close. We drove about an hour to Gator hunt and about 45 minutes to go skydiving. We chartered a boat out of Boca and another out of Nokomis, the Tarpon did not cooperate but the deep sea fishing was great. Fishing off the patio kept us entertained and we caught Sailcats, Ladyfish, and a huge Black Drum. We ate next door at the Tarpon Pt Grill and got the benefit of hearing the music and singers from across the narrow channel during the day and early evening. They close at 8:00 p.m. so there was no late night noise. We door dashed from Fuji Sushi and it was fantastic as well. We enjoyed our time staying here!

Spring break trip

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay right on the river! We used the kayaks every day and loved the pool. My son fished the river each day. We were so close to Manasota Key and went to the beach every day as well. The cooler and beach chairs were so nice to use! Thanks to Linh for being a great host !

Relax by the River

Stunning home that offers the best relaxation right on the river! The owner was very kind and easy to communicate with during the entire renting process. We look forward to renting the property again in the future! Also, so many details were considered that made this house very comfortable and the perfect "home away from home" experience :)
