Breathtaking views may be taken in either from the lawns on the south facing front garden, or from the luxury infinity swimming pool (12m x 5m) situated just meters from the house. Designed with alfresco dining in mind, the pool house and BBQ area offers shade when needed, a WC and outside solar heated shower. The grounds are fully enclosed with access through electric gates. A truly unique home that welcomes you to make happy holiday memories.

THE SPACE
The Interior - ‘Les Barras’ house offers you space and comfort whilst retaining its original features of exposed beams and tiled floors. The house is on one level and comfortably sleeps 8. Throughout the house there are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is a large family kitchen, along with a separate ‘L’ shaped dining and sitting room. Here, double French windows open onto the substantial front garden, with views of the swimming pool.

The Exterior - directly outside the property there is a pool house, with a long table and chairs for outside dining and BBQ for those warm summer nights. There is also an outside WC, sink and pool solar shower. Sun loungers and parasols offer comfortable informal seating around the pool. A ping pong table is also available in this area.

FURTHER AFIELD
Whilst Les Barras is an idyllic location for those seeking to relax, it is also ideally situated to explore this beautiful region of France. The property is either a pleasant 20-minute stroll or 5-minute drive away from the medieval town of Issigeac, with its renowned buzzy Sunday market, local artisans and narrow, winding streets that house boutiques, cafes and restaurants. The wider region of Dordogne offers an abundance of Chateaux, historical bastide towns with their rich heritage, night markets, prehistoric grottos and vineyards (and the Route des Vin de Bergerac), canoeing and much, much more. The city of Bergerac is about a 25-minute drive and Bordeaux can be reached within 2 hours (driving) or less by train. Bergerac airport is only 20 minutes away.

There is a shared driveway to the property; with 3 parking spaces, 2 for the guests and 1 for the hosts. We live in the grounds in the neighbouring Gite (that has a separate back garden) and are happy to help with any questions, requests or anything that you may need to ensure that your stay is as happy and enjoyable as possible.
