Romantic Riverside Getaway. Located in the heart of Ludlow, this 1 Bedroom 1 Bath with sofa bed condo sleeps 4. Have coffee on the deck right on the Black River, step out the front door and take the Free Shuttle up to Okemo for a day of fun. Stroll Downtown Ludlow for dining, shopping or cocktails and come home to a cozy fire or cook a meal in our fully equipped kitchen. Biking, hiking, strolling, lakes for swimming, kayaking or just relaxing. Please note, there is a pub on the property.

Great location in the middle of Ludlow. The Mill is an older but well maintained property and the deck on the river is probably nice in warmer weather. Fireplace was great and having all the wood you need right by the front entrance was convenient. Shuttle to Okemo stopped just out the front door to the right (it comes over the river and stops before making a right at the light) and you are at the mountain in 5 minutes. Hint: if you are ok walking a block have the shuttle drop you off across from Shaws on the return trip - which saves you riding the extra 25 minutes while the shuttle does the loop through town.

Great getaway - super close to Okemo Mt.

Very clean and close to the mountain. Loved the river off the back deck with an amazing view of the mountain. Will definitely stay there again. Owner was very responsive to needs.

Great stay

Perfect for what we were looking for! In Town. Shuttle to mountain. It’s an old building so you can definitely hear the upstairs neighbors, probably not the best if noise bothers you, but was fine for us as we were in early and up early!

Extremely quiet during the week! 200yrds away from shuttle to Okemo Mtn.! Super Clean! Private and fireplace with firewood provided was a super plus!!!

Old woolen mill turned into condos. Rustic with a warm character. Nicely furnished for a ski, fishing or fall leafing get away.

The dulcet sounds of the Black River...

Jeffery's apartment in the The Mill in Ludlow could not have been more perfect. It was sparkling clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed (we especially liked the seasonal photos on canvases of Mt. Okemo!). As a bonus - the apartment is on the first floor, and if you enter the door nearest the breakfast cafe, there are only 3 stairs to enter the buliding. The apartment looks onto the Black River which is literally feet away from the balcancy/deck (we hope the recent flooding throughout this area did not affect Jeffrey’s unit!). Since I was 8 years old I have required a fan or some form of white noise to help me sleep, but the soothing sounds of the river flowing energetically just mere feet from the apartment was one of the best parts of our stay! Ludlow is perfectly located and we kept busy with a trip to Woodstock, a visit to the birthplace of our 30th President, Calvin Coolidge at Plymouth Notch, to watch a movie in Springfield (VT), a picnic at Buttermilk Falls and some swimming at Echo Lake (all of which could be reached in 30 minutes or less!). Thanks so much Jeffrey – we would like to come back at some future point and we highly recommend this property! Enjoy!

Jeff was a great host, his was a great condo for my family, 5 minutes from the lifts of Okemo, and it is stocked with everything you need for cooking and eating in if you decide not to walk around town to all the great bars and restaurants.

Perfect Cozy Condo

This Condo at The Mill was definitely the best one I have stayed at so far. I will have to reserve it for next year. The best was falling asleep to the sound of the river!

Beautiful Location in Heart of Town

Wow, pictures online don't do this justice. Perfect spot right along a beautiful river in the heart of Ludlow. Short walk to food, stores, and bars. The place itself is excellent - clean, beautiful deck to sit and watch the river. Comfy bedroom, nice living room - a really lovely place to spend a weekend. Check in and checkout was easy, and Jeff was super responsive to our questions. Will absolutely be coming back.

Awesome location, clean comfortable place

The location is great for walking in the town. We went for breakfast and didn’t even have to leave the property! It was very convenient to get around from this place. The unit is small but doesn’t feel that way when you are in there. Very neat and clean. Had one issue with the Mrs hair dryer tripping a breaker. Reached out to owner, was a quick flip of the break once I located the panel. Took a bit for the a/c to cool off in there but was very comfortable after that. We stayed durning a pretty hot weekend. We will 100% stay here again if we are back in the area.

Nice but loud music and people

Place is good but the issue is there is a bar in the same building. Both nights there was loud music and loud people that sounded like it was coming from upstairs that was so loud that we couldn’t sleep until it ended at 2 Am. The second night we had to move the mattress from the bedroom into the living room to drowned out the sound. I reached out to Jeff he said he would make a call didn’t hear back then the next night sent a text again asking if he was going to call the cops And he said he called the owner of the bar and they said they would tame it down, which did not happen. I ask a question what time does the bar close because their listing is at midnight but yet the music lasted till 2 AM and he did not answer. Based on the location of the bar and where this is I highly doubt it was the bar and if it was it should’ve been so annoying to everybody else in this multi unit building there should’ve been lots of complaints. I would not recommend staying here if loud music and people annoy you

Escaping the heat

We had a wonderful long weekend escaping the summer heat. The condo was perfect for two and the river lulled us to sleep. Everything in Lundlow is an easy walk from this location, and Lundlow is centrally located to access many of the area’s attractions within a short drive.

Great location and beautiful apartment!

This is a great little apartment located only about a mile from Okemo. It's right in downtown, within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The apartment itself is really cute - a great size for a small family or couple. The fireplace was delightful to relax at the end of the day. The kitchen has all of the amenities needed and good appliances. Overall, a great spot for a ski weekend!

Comfortable & interesting!

The old Mill building is itself historically and visually interesting, we enjoyed learning its history and scoping out its structure. The condo has hefty exposed beams/woodworking, giving it a rustic and warm vibe. You can hear the Black River flowing by, and see Okemo from the porch, very lovely. Kitchen is handy if you're there mid-week (some local restaurants close Tues/Wed, some just offer take-out). Perfect location for wandering around Ludlow after skiing (Okemo is excellent!).

Great spot to ski at Okemo with a small family!

We really enjoyed the place, and Jeff was great! While the place was not huge, it was plenty big for us, with 9=year old twins and my husband and I. The bedroom was quite big and comfortable, and the main area had a pullout as well as another small couch. They supplied Keurig coffee which was great! The location was great, right on Main Street, on the shuttle route, near restaurants, etc, very easy to et to Okemo to ski. Jeff was very responsive, replied quickly to all my questions. I would definitely stay again!

Vermont Getaway

You will not be disappointed! This condo is in a perfect location for enjoying the Vermont experience. The condo is well stocked with necessities. The ambiance is a sweet setting of the river running outside and the wood burning fireplace inside. They bring firewood into the front foyer so it is easy to get and in a dry place. The bedroom has a view of the river as well. Very comfortable condo and close to many restaurants and grocery store. Would definitely stay here again!! Great communication with the owner, responsive to all questions.

Charming condo in ideal location

This condo within the Mill in Ludlow, Vermont, is entirely charming and ideally located! My husband and son were able to wear their gear and catch the bus to take them skiing on Okemo Mountain right out front of the condominium. As a non-skier, I was able to go for walks for sightseeing, and the grocery, restaurants, coffee shops, and gift/artisan shops were also in easy walking distance. The condo itself has one exterior wall of lovely exposed brick and the wooden beams from the original mill building, while the interior is modern and comfortable. The windows and balcony overlook the river, making it so nice for relaxing with a cup of coffee. The rooms were immaculately clean and well appointed with linens, utensils, pantry items, pots and pans, soaps, etc. Appliances were very new and quiet. Owner Jeff provided excellent information on things to do in the area so that we could plan our stay in advance. Despite the busy time of year, we had no problems parking or using the laundry room in the common area of the Mill. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend this property!
