This attractive suite is the perfect place to call home during a fun-filled beach getaway with someone you love! Spend your days in the cool waters of the Atlantic then come home to rinse away the sand with the washer/dryer. Explore the many on-site amenities that include a pool, sauna, and tennis. Entertain in the living area or out on the private balcony before serving up a delicious meal prepared in the full kitchen. This beachfront condo is ideally located within walking distance of various dining and shopping options; you can also take the bus for hassle-free travel to your favorite destinations. The historic Ocean City Boardwalk, with its carnival atmosphere, great food, and superb nightlife, is located five miles south. You can also plan a fun family day at Jolly Roger Amusement Park and Splash Mountain Waterpark, only four miles south.

The Golden Sands, located in Ocean City, offers everything a vacationer could want without needing to leave the building complex. Enjoy the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, oceanfront volleyball, and game and exercise rooms. During the summer season, you can visit the beach bar and grill, the sandwich shop, the convenience store, and our gift shops.

Things to Know
The building provides complimentary WiFi as a courtesy, but it is not guaranteed.
Per building management, cannabis is prohibited everywhere on the Golden Sands grounds.


Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

nice place, great location

Keyless entry and first floor beachfront in a nice condo. We enjoyed our stay there. Like every other condo we've been to, this one could use some minor updates. We are considering booking the same place for next year.

Super hard beds

I loved all the amenities and being on the first floor but the very old and hard mattresses and bad sleep is why we will not come back unless they get a very thick mattress toppers or invest in new mattresses, I honestly thought from some of the bad reviews from three years ago they would have invested in mattresses, but unfortunately, they did not, I normally do not have any back pain, and my back was killing me all night and especially in the morning

I really like golden sands. I've stayed there a dozen times. This place was not good though. The beds were horrible. The couch was worse. All of the furniture was broken. None of the plumbing had drain plugs. The blinds were broken, so there was no privacy. We were on the first floor. There was no cable. There were only three forks. The entire condo needed painted. I liked the location and the welcome package. I should have read the other reviews, so some of this is on me.

Ocean front & beach resort

Loved the patio area, the food was delicious (loved the ahi tuna bowl). My kids ate the Mac and cheese and hotdog. Yummy drinks. Loved the kiddie pool and large pool. Beautiful view from the balcony. We asked for more bath towels and never received them. They did bring us an extra blanket. There is a long wait at the elevator. Happy we stayed in the 1st floor. The stairs smelled awful like pee. Overall, good place to stay and love the patio entertainment. Very family friendly.

Old and Rundown

The online pictures present a different image than reality. Everything just looked worn out. The shower had no pressure, the beds were extremely noisy, not all the drawers on the dresser would close, the couch cushions just sunk down below the frame when sitting, etc. On the plus side, the location was great with plenty of good restaurants and things to do.

Falsehoods

Vacasa lied about the condo we booked and then said it was too late to do anything about it. We had no privacy, multiple things were wrong with our condo, they ignored the requests to make a more comfortable stay for a child with a disability and they did nothing to make it right.

Room is rough but great location!

Ive stayed in over 15 places in ocean city the last 20 years and this was probably the worst. Pics were not current at all. Place is need of a remodel. Very rough appearance wise when you enter, looked dirty. Outdated/ broken furniture, toe kicks and base boards missing in kitchen, walls very marked up and in need of paint. Air conditioner would not go below 76 during the day and was flashing an error message. The beds were like sleeping on wood. The blinds were completely destroyed in the living room area so there was no shade at all in the room, Plus people could probably see in all day and night because it is on the first level right above the deck area. I gave it a (2) rating because of the location and easy access to the beach and deck area. Hotel was was awesome but the room was pretty awful. Staff was and is always great.

Amazing location, needs updated

This property has more amenities than they list in their adds. It was wonderful to have a building that had everything we needed or could want for our stay all in one place. The condo itself had plenty of space for what we needed, and amazing views! It definitely needs updated and some repairs need made. The cleaning staff also could have been a bit more thorough. We were on the first floor, so it wasnt an issue for us often, but the elevators were slow and often had a line to use them. The key code was also 10 digits and the lock was faulty, the code could be shorter and easier to use. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Golden sands, and would probably book again so long as we were on the first floor again.

Updates Needed

This condo has so much potential if the owners would just make a few very needed improvements. We came here to relax after being in DC and could not get a good night sleep. 1. NEW mattresses and pillows- These are awful. The mattresses are super loud and squeaky and you roll into the middle. The pillows are flat and plastic covered and disgusting. 2. NEW sofa sleeper. My son moved from the awful mattress to the sofa and it was just as bad. It was unbearable as a bed, so he slept on the actual sofa but that is in bad shape too. 3. A FRESH COAT of paint goes a long ways...it looks a bit worn. Paint a fresh yellow or blue, it is a beach condo! These top three things would make this condo so much better! The view, beach, and property make this property good, now just give people a good night's sleep!

Mediocre

My family and I would stay at the Golden Sands again. They had great beach access, a bar by the pool, a breakfast/sandwich shop, and deck activities. However, the unit itself was not great. Although we slept good, the beds squeaked when you moved the slightest. The sofa needs to be updated, as it no longer has any support. The unit was clean, though.

Quick family getaway

Pros: Location of the unit was superb (1st floor). The unit had enough space to accommodate my family of 4 ppl. There was easy access to stairwell vs having to use the elevator. The Covered/reserved parking space was amazing. There was convenient access to the beach! Quiet building, great security, plenty of staff attending to keeping the facility grounds clean & neat. There was lively entertainment on the main deck every evening. The kitchen was fully stocked. Plenty of clean linens. Unit was clean upon arrival. Checkin and checkout was seamless. The Property mgr was very attentive and accommodating. Cons: The unit needs to be updated (kitchen, bathroom). The couch is worn, the beds are rock hard. The decor is very dated. Cable TV does not work in bedroom. Electrical outlets aren’t all functional. USB outlets should be made available. Lining of the bottom of the mattresses are falling off. The vertical blinds did not provide privacy because some of the blinds were missing or not functioning. The unit has lots of potential just needs a little TLC!!

Great Location

This condo is in a great location with super easy access to the beach and amenities. Overlooking the sun deck, we were able to let our son play with the other kids staying at the property on the volleyball court while we enjoyed sitting on the balcony keeping an eye on him. The condo was well furnished and clean, but the mattresses could be used to be updated. That's the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.
