Luxuriate right on the Russian River in Sonoma County wine country, minutes from the beach. Ospreys and eagles soar, blue herons fish and otters frolic.
Enjoy our renovated historic brick home amidst redwoods, it’s loaded with amenities like a seasonal dock on the river, complete with lounge chairs and kayaks. Also: 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, huge sunny deck, glorious hot tub and an outdoor shower next to the epic lawn so you can enjoy river life!
Great location: fabled Northwood golf course just down the street, fun Guerneville 5 minutes east, Pacific coast 15 minutes west and San Francisco 90 minutes south.
We occasionally sublet. The next available window is from October 2024 to at least April 30, 2025. We will consider 31+ day rentals during that time.
Rent varies by season. October to April is only $5800 per month including utilities and 1 cleaning per month. May to September is more. The 1700 sq ft does not include an office, an exterior studio, and three closets which are reserved for owner use. [The whole property is 2100 sq ft.]
We love our home and expect guests to treat it with care. No parties are allowed and we have nighttime quiet hours. No smoking or pets.

Our family has owned this home for almost 40 years and we cherish it. When we travel for vacations and work we are now offering it for long-stay (31-day minimum) respectful guests. Enjoy the private dock, grand lawn - like your own private park, river fun, wine country, beach living life it offers. Or just some great R&R.

While our home is super cosy and welcoming, it's also been completely renovated in 2020 and 2021 so all of the appliances and amenities are top of the line. We have taken our years as travel writers and made sure that you'll have everything you need to have a home away from home: whether it's plentiful beach towels and life jackets in all sizes, or wheelchair accessible downstairs and a vast library, fast wifi, and a DVD collection/streaming services for relaxing inside. Views are spectacular and unobstructed - so whether you are inside or out you'll feel like you are getting away from city living and are immersed in watching wildlife, redwoods and river, and really vacationing.
