Great Cabin!

Ideal location, amenities and view for our week on Erie. Also the convenience of the little store across the street was huge bonus for nice and odds and ends. Ellen was a top notch hostess and her and her husband are very nice people.

Lakeview Cottage

This property is spacious, beautifully furnished, comfortable and quiet. The owners are friendly and make you feel at home. If you need anything, they are helpful and respond promptly. There is a small store across the street that has almost anything you might need. The property is close to tourist attractions, shopping and dining. You can also just relax by the water.

Peaceful and relaxing

Enjoyed my stay with my dog. She loved the yard and meeting all the guests. The sunsets and sunrises were amazing. The cottage has heart of pine paneling just like when I was a kid. Everything I needed was there, just needed a trip to the market for coffee and essentials. If you like a rustic feel with all the modern conveniences, you should check this cottage out.

Perfect Lake Cottage!

This cottage is perfect for a short getaway or a longer vacation! It was immaculate and comfortable. There is parking directly behind the cottage, steps away from the cottage. Ellen communicates with you every step of the way to answer any questions you may have. Vermilion is a quaint beach town with cute shops and restaurants. Be sure to check out Granny Joe’s for ice cream, Main Street Soda Grill for atmosphere, and for Italian- Berardi’s in Huron. We can’t wait to return to this perfect lake cottage!

Perfect Spot!!

Don't let the older photos fool you! This was a really comfortable, tastefully decorated and carefully maintained, one bedroom cottage with every amenity you might need while away from home. The hosts, Ellen & John were very friendly, accommodating, and available if needed. The view of Lake Erie is simply mesmerizing and we enjoyed the sunsets, watching the waterfowl and even experiencing the gale force windstorm that sprang up. A convenience store is right across the street, The Nest classic diner is just a couple blocks away and the location is central for area sightseeing regardless of which direction you turn. A 5-Star hotel would not have been nicer!

Lovely Lake Hideaway

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at Lake Erie front! The house is cozy, the view of the lake is amazing. We saw bald eagles and beautiful sunsets. There is a convenience store literally across the street which is open late And has beer and basic groceries. There is a fantastic farmers market I. Town as well. We explored Put In Bay one day, the local beaches an out her, and spent some time just hangin by the lake reading, etc. Ellen and John were great hosts! Super friendly and available to answer my few questions, had some helpful tips (specifically about local ice cream… very important), but did not get in o ur hit at all. Another reviewer said that this house wasn’t worth the money, but on this very same road trip I we stayed at one major hotel chain that didn’t even provide a mini fridge, and another with a toilet and shower that didn’t drain properly. This is a great deal! The only negative I have to mention is that this area, at least when we went in late September, was super buggy. It wasn’t much of a problem sitting by the lake thankfully, but just be aware th at there are a lot of mosquitos about. If that is something that you are particularly squirrelly about this may not be the place for you. 100% would come back. Thanks!

Kyle and his wife are a lovely couple. They were friendly and took very good care of our home. They were new to our area, and it was nice that they did side trips to see what Vermilion and Lake Erie and surrounding places have to offer. They would be welcomed back anytime.

Quaint yet spacious with a lovely view

We loved the gorgeous lake view and the pine panelling inside the home. There was plenty of space for us which was good since the weather during our stay was not ideal. Despite the overcast, the lake was still amazing. We were fortunate enough to see eagles flying toward the trees. The owners were very nice and attentive... even sharing a jigsaw puzzle after we completed ours! Lovely location right on the lake and close to parks and town. We hope to be back another time of the year so the weather may be nicer.

Quiet Lake Erie View!

Quaint home away from home for the two of us and our pups! Quiet with a large yard for roaming and relaxing lakeside. Plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy year round. Nearby Cascade Park is a hidden gem and a must see of the West Falls in our opinion.

Relaxing Getaway

The experience was everything we were looking for. Clean, convenient, comfortable, and relaxing. Just sitting in the yard, taking in the scenery helped clear our heads of work. We would consider coming back, maybe earlier in the year to take advantage of more events/open venues ( lighthouses, cruises).

Beautiful Property

My husband and I and our little dog stayed at this beautiful property. The unit was very clean and comfortably furnished. The location can't be beat for a spectacular view of Lake Erie and some equally spectacular Eagles! Downtown Vermilion has some quaint shops and a variety of restaurants to fit every budget and taste. There are a number of nice wineries and orchards close by as well making this a perfect Fall get-away spot. The owners are very friendly and genuinely interested in us enjoying our stay. We got very lucky that the weather was beautiful as well. We will definitely plan another stay here.
