Overall very nice stay!

We really loved the house and location on the beach. A couple of things did not get resolved during our stay. The main one is the temperature control. The thermostat would not go below 70. Upstairs was comfortable, but the downstairs was very warm and definitely higher than 70. This is where most of the bedrooms are. After trying what they suggested and multiple calls, I did not get a call back. The second is that the house was not fully cleaned upon arrival. One of the beds had sand in it and a couple cabinets were not cleaned and mold was growing. They did deliver new sheets. Overall, the house was as pictured and very nice, but the temperature was definitely an issue for sleeping.

Nicole – We are thrilled to hear you loved the house and your stay. Please know that shortfalls in cleaning are very rare for our housekeeping teams and we usually return every call promptly – we apologize for any inconvenience. We also wanted to let you know that the owners of this home have adjusted the limits on the thermostat to now allow temperature settings as low as 68 degrees. The owners are also considering adding sensors in other rooms so that the thermostat will take an average, as opposed to just referencing the air temperature in the hall. We hope you will consider renting this home again the next time you visit Hatteras Island!
