Unveiling a unique family retreat: The 56 Kebo House! Set atop a serene hillside, this captivating haven offers unparalleled ocean views, right in Bar Harbor. Just a short 5-minute stroll away, you`ll find urban amenities, the iconic Jesup Path Boardwalk and trailheads leading to Cadillac and Dorr Mountains. This home is indeed one of the closest to Acadia National Park.

Tucked away on its private perch, this property boasts a sizeable front lawn overlooking the endless ocean, perfect for basking in the tranquility. The lush yard also houses a fire pit and grill, promoting alfresco dining and cozy evenings under the starlit sky. Beyond the large 2-car garage, find an exciting element - a ping-pong table! Perfect for indoor/outdoor family leisure as it provides an additional fridge and a large table.

Venture towards the back yard, and you`ll be awe-inspired by a colossal YURT! This 16-foot wonder serves as a unique, welcoming retreat that sleeps up to 6 guests. (Seasonal and unconditioned)

The 56 Kebo House was designed with one main vision - to foster memorable experiences shared among family and friends. This single-story home showcases 4 cozy bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The commodious kitchen flows seamlessly into a sizable dining area. Modern necessities like an automatic espresso coffee maker, drip coffee maker, microwave, toaster, blender and many more make this home functional and convenient.

Experience mellow countryside vibes in the charming living area, fitted with a classic bow window and plush West Elm furniture. The new, expansive deck provides a peaceful sanctuary with outdoor seating, ideal for taking it easy and enjoying cookouts using the Weber Grill. Let the games begin with a flat outdoor area for games of bocce and corn hole, plus a collection of books for quiet, indoor relaxation. Great location. Easy walk to downtown Bar Harbor and short drive to many of the trail heads at Acadia. The house is lovely and exactly as pictured- we had deer and wild turkeys wander past the window each day!

Excellent Location

This rental spot is close to everything! You can walk to most trails, town and great restaurants! The house was clean and fully stocked, we wanted for nothing! Desiree and Jeremiah were fabulous hosts, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Can’t wait to return!

This was the perfect place for our family of 5 while visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park! We had everything we needed and especially enjoyed the view of the water from the chairs in the front yard. Having our morning coffee there was amazing! And the games in the garage were a bonus. We highly recommend this property if you are visiting the area!

Bar Harbor Stay

We LOVED our stay here! It’s just outside of town so it’s quiet but close enough to walk. The house had a ton of amenities and we enjoyed relaxing outside. It had everything we could possibly need. 10/10 recommend.

Great place!

This house was amazing and we can’t wait to come back! Not one complaint. Host was fantastic at communicating and left snacks which was so sweet. The boys enjoyed the yurt and yard and Acadia was beautiful.

Incredible Property

This was our second annual girls trip, and this property was perfect for it! The amenities were the best of any rental we’ve ever had. We enjoyed the large backyard and yurt and loved sitting out front in the morning. We will be back!

We had an amazing week. Everything was as described and better. My kids loved the yurt and playing in the garage. So many bonus extras included like fresh ground coffee and stocked toiletries - I forgot my Q tips and was so happy to have some at the house. Highly recommend!

Long Weekend in Bar Harbor

Fabulous Property that lived up to & surpassed our expectations. We were in town for a Wedding with Lifelong Friends. This was our first time in Bar Harbor & we all fell in love with this place. The home was warm & very relaxing inside & out. Great location with a Beautiful View!! The hosts thought of everything to make our stay perfect.

We are a local year round family who loves our island and community, and is so excited to share it with you.

When we are not rental hosts, you will find us teaching outdoor recreation, education, health, and coaching cross country at the local high school, and operating a local small business in Ellsworth, called Restaurant Barn. (Come check us out, we are across from Pat’s Pizza and have lots of fun cooking and eating equipment!)

We use the park everyday, for outdoor adventures big and small. Whether it is a hike up Dorr Mountain, a bike ride around Eagle Lake, or a kayak paddle on Long Pond.

We hope you enjoy the town and area as much as we do. There is so much to offer, hiking, biking, kayaking, nature tours, dining, shopping, entertainment, and so much more!

This property has it all. We purchased the property because it is what we would want in a vacation rental.

On the edge of town. It is quiet, yet walkable to everything. The edge of the park, you don't have to get into your car to go hiking biking, and exploring.

The large lawn for lounging, running and playing. The Yurt which we saw as a great bunkhouse for our kids! The garage flex space. We love the idea of sitting at the table enjoying meals and games on a summer evening, or playing ping pong after dinner.

It evokes so many great memories and happy feelings.
