Large downtown Santa Barbara one bedroom cottage with big outdoor patio and garden. Quiet neighborhood with lots of privacy and walking distance from the historic Mission, Rose Gardens, and hiking trails. A short one mile walk to downtown Santa Barbara restaurants, and two miles to Stearns wharf. Two blocks from the famous Mission Street McConnell's Ice Cream. Our cottage has all new kitchen appliances and a very spacious living room with a fold out sofa bed for extra sleeping accommodations.

Great little property, close to downtown Santa Barbara

Very nice, clean property close to downtown Santa Barbara and two blocks from a great coffee shop and an awesome ice cream parlor. We enjoyed the convenience and nice neighborhood.

Classic Santa Barbara Cottage

Peter’s place was great. Walking distance to downtown, and also very convenient to the freeway and bike route to UCSB. The private patio area is a really nice bonus. It’s rare to find a place with so much private outdoor space in Santa Barbara. Same goes for in-unit laundry. Would definitely book this one again!

Incredible cottage

Property was beautiful, as advertised, and walkable to downtown and public transportation. Absolutely perfect. Host was lovely and communicative!

Visiting family

A detached cottage, centrally located and close to city amenities. Cottage is fully equipped with very modern washing machine, cooker, TV etc. Lounge and lovely outdoor eating area. All in all, very impressive and our stay was memorable!

Great cottage with a beautiful yard area!

Peter’s cottage is a great place to stay in Santa Barbara for a couple or small family. My adult son slept on the sofa bed which he said was comfortable. The queen bed in the bedroom had a very comfortable mattress. There’s even a washer/dryer if needed which we didn’t use. Bathroom is quirky with it’s claw foot tub/shower but plenty roomy. Could use a shelving unit but there is a medicine cabinet behind the mirror. Towels were very large and fluffy.The kitchen has a very new fridge and just about anything you could need to prep meals. Nice little work table in the living room and lots of room to spread out. The neighborhood was very quiet and nice to walk around. Super easy access to the freeway. The best part is the yard! Comfy chairs to sit on under the beautiful mandarin orange tree. Perfect to enjoy am SB morning coffee. Saw hummingbirds and other birds in the tree. Photos in listing don’t show the nice picnic table and who doesn’t want to eat outside with Santa Barbara’s gorgeous weather. We would definitely stay again! Thanks for sharing your cottage!

Very clean and cute place. Liked the location which isn’t right in all the bustle, but also not far. We walked everywhere.

Lovely, better for only 2 people!

The pull out couch was very uncomfortable. Also could have used more towels, a box fan, and maybe a shelf or more storage space for toiletries in the bathroom. Otherwise excellent!!

Perfect Casita in a great location

Super clean Casita for two. Has a wonderful, private patio. Kitchen completely updated. Great central location. Neighbors super friendly. Would stay here again.

Very nice place and good location. Perfect place for my husband, son and myself.

Peter connected early on and was very informative with check-in etc. It was nice having the large bottle of water as we were at a baseball field all weekend and it was great to refill our bottles. Bed was very comfortable and my son slept well on the pull out sofa. Everything was very clean and we truly enjoyed our stay!

Private garden paradise

This cozy bungalow was the perfect getaway for a mother visiting a daughter at UCSB. The first thing to greet me inside was a bowl of fresh mandarins from the tree outside the front door. The host, Peter, was super attentive! The private patio has a huge picnic table, lots of comfy chairs and a virtual waterfall of pink bougainvillea flowers for your selfies. This gorgeous setting leaves no doubt you are in California! Yes, the bungalows and rentals are very close together, but the private yard really provides a nice respite. I had no trouble sleeping and the unit had keyless entry and felt safe. I did not have a car but it was an easy three block walk to a coffee shop and Mission ice cream. State Street was farther, but the lovely front yard gardens and storybook neighborhood along the way made the walk go quickly. Beach is about a 2.2 mile walk, one way. Taxis and Lyfts found the rental easily. House had lots of movie channels for evening viewing on a big TV and, if you cook, the kitchen is very equipped. New Keurig! Throw blankets everywhere to feel like home. Space heaters provided ample warmth. It was easy for two to find quiet areas to sit separately because master bedroom can be closed off from the den. Bathroom shower does require you to climb over a significant tub wall to get in, so that was more of an adjustment than I had realized., but workable. I did not use fold out couch. If you want to experience the real deal in Santa Barbara bungalow living, this is it. And those mandarins were delicious!

Great property!

This studio was the perfect combo of a great location and privacy with a lovely yard. It was walking distance to downtown Santa Barbara and also close to Upper State street. It was comfortable and had a fully equipped kitchen plus washer/dryer unit. The outdoor area makes the space feel both private and spacious and the mandarins on the tree were delicious! The bed and couch are comfortable and it was very easy to communicate with the host. Check in and check out were quick and easy and the place was spotless. This will definitely be my go to spot every time I am in Santa Barbara for work or vacation. The pictures are just like the space and the decor is warm and cozy. Highly recommend!

Adorable cozy cottage!

This cottage is so cute and cozy! Kitchen is well equipped with everything i needed to cook, bathroom is small but totally fine. The old school clawfoot tub is kinda cool, had never showered in one of those before! The house is on a little side alley so it has very little street noise. I loved the outdoor space, plenty of room and pretty trees. Nice neighborhood for walking and close enough to downtown to walk to SB public market for food. Feels like a little oasis. Thank you!!
