Experience the unique beauty of Martha’s Vineyard with pastoral farm views on one side and views of the Vineyard Sound and Elizabeth Islands on the other…all from the same home. Sanctuary House is a newly renovated farm house which highlights the iconic architecture of Martha’s Vineyard.
Water and sunset views, chef’s kitchen and hot tub make this property a gem.
Sanctuary House is the perfect retreat for couples, families and friends who are looking to experience the magic of Martha’s Vineyard.

Sanctuary House offers a first floor primary bedroom with ensuite bathroom, cast iron soaking tub, washer/dryer and hot tub right outside the bedroom door. The upstairs offers 3 sun-filled cozy bedrooms, 2 of them with stunning water views.

The house has a brand new, beautifully renovated kitchen with views of the Vineyard Sound. Prepare your meals while watching the boats go by in the day and dramatic sunsets in the evening. The kitchen has a chef’s grade induction stove, refrigerator with ice and filtered water, double-drawer dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and many other kitchen amenities. Also enjoy fresh farm eggs from our flock!

The open living room and dining area is full of windows and light with doors that connect to the outside patio and expansive yard. The outdoor dining area is a wonderful place to enjoy al fresco meals and relax around the fire pit while looking at the water and taking in a sunset.

There is an indoor wood burning fireplace as well as an outdoor Solo smokeless fire pit. The outdoor shower is a must after a long, sandy day at the beach.

Sanctuary House is located steps from the Cedar Tree Neck Sanctuary- the most beloved walking and hiking trails on the island. The trails wind through the forest and along the coastline offering spectacular ocean vista views along the way. Sanctuary House comes with a pass to Lambert’s Cove Beach- one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.

The truly unique experience while staying at Sanctuary House is the opportunity to enjoy the farm beauty- our 3 horses, flock of chickens and the iconic Martha’s Vineyard antique barn. Wake up to farm fresh eggs from our ladies and watch the horses grazing in the field while sipping your morning coffee or enjoying your evening cocktail.

We loved our stay at Sanctuary Farm! The house is so cozy with amazing views and beautiful touches. Haven and Dan were very responsive, kind and even left us goodies from the farm, wine and wood for the fireplace. I highly recommend staying there if you get the chance. We'd love to come back one day!

Tranquil and restorative location. Ac in all rooms. Modern kitchen. Entire interior appears recently updated. Nicely isolated property giving you lots of privacy. The only other companions on the property are two horses, a pony, and chickens!I’d go back without question.

The property is very beautiful, with a lovely ocean view. Everything was extremely clean. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. There is a lovely patio with a view of the ocean, which can also be seen from the dining area. The house is an antique farmhouse which is very aesthetic. The horses and chickens are charming.Guests should be aware of a few things:- The primary bedroom has a ceiling skylight with no shade, so it's very bright in the morning.- The primary bedroom is very large, but the other 3 bedrooms are very small.- The upstairs 3 bedrooms have sloping ceilings so feel even smaller.- The only bathroom on the 1st floor is through the kitchen and through the primary bedroom, so anyone wanting to use the 1st floor bathroom has to travel through the primary bedroom.- The owners are on-site at the barn twice a day to take care of the horses. Although they are very quiet and discreet, if you want complete privacy this is not a good choice.

We love this house! And have stayed multiple times. Always spotless! Wonderful kitchen. Always easy communication. Great views of the sunset over the water and a quiet location. Our go to Vineyard escape.

Haven and Dan’s home is amazing ! The patio is set up beautifully and overlooking fields and the ocean. The sunsets were spectacular. I would like to have cooked more often as the kitchen was all state of the art appliances with all cookware available and ocean view . The house itself is just perfect , wide pine floors throughout , wonderful living room with such a comfortable sofa and large tv. My family mostly sat outside but also enjoyed the dining room . To have horses and chickens right there on the property made us all so happy , especially my horse rider daughter . The hot tub was our every night ritual and we could watch the light after the sunset and then the fireflies appear . So many beautiful houses don’t allow pets but Haven and Dan do . Our golden retriever absolutely loved it ! Even though it’s down a long road and so perfectly quiet everything you could want is nearby . We can’t wait to return .

The Get Away!

We had an amazing time at the Sanctuary! The view to the ocean is out of this world. Saw an amazing sunset over the ocean. Loved the fresh eggs and the wine that Dan and Haven left us. Very sweet touch. Would highly recommend this house.

Beautiful water view on a working farm MV

This property is as advertised. A perfect mix between old architecture and modern amenities. The water view faces west, so it’s a great place to relax after a day of adventure on the island and watch the sunset. Hosts were responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Beautiful farmhouse for family retreat

We had an amazing trip to the Sanctuary House this Spring just before tourist season on Martha's Vineyard. Its location in West Tisbury was a welcome change from the vibes of Oak Bluffs or Edgartown, and it is nestled amongst a few beautiful farms and overlooks the water in the distance. The island was still very quiet, but there were great amenities for cooking and enjoying family meals on the property such that we were not at all reliant on restaurants being open. The bedrooms were very comfortable, particularly the master suite on the first floor. Can't recommend staying here enough!

Gorgeous property in a wonderful location

We had the best possible stay at Sanctuary Farm with our three kids. Dan and Haven are the kindest, warmest hosts, and the house is beautiful. Our kids loved seeing the animals every day and riding bikes down the quiet roads. The location next to hiking trails and with water views can't be beat. An absolute gem, and we will be back!

wonderful stay

This property is an absolute gem ! The house is very well equipped, and in perfect condition. The view of the sunset is beautiful and the place is very quiet. The host are very responsive and helpful (we had an issue with the grill, they got it replaced with a brand new one... within 1 hour !!). Will definitely come back !

Amazing peaceful space

This is such a special place on the island. Peaceful, private, quiet and charming. Haven made sure our stay was memorable; we even had the freshest eggs imaginable in a basket awaiting our arrival. Haven spent some of her busy morning telling us about her farm and the chickens; we got a great education and got to meet “the girls”! I highly recommend this space. Was perfect for four adults.

Sanctuary Farm - lived up to our expectations

My recent stay at the charming rental property on the island was an absolute delight. When we arrived, it felt like stepping into a peaceful oasis where nature and tranquility embraced us. The Sanctuary Farm property's location was simply perfect. It offered easy access to various parts of the island, allowing us to explore the area effortlessly. Everything was within reach, whether we wanted to bask in the sun on Katama or Menemsha beach or venture into the various towns for local shopping and dining. What truly made our stay extraordinary was the incredible wildlife encounters we experienced right at the property. The sight of deer gracefully roaming the lower field, turkeys showcasing their majestic presence, and even catching a glimpse of a skunk hopping across the yard added an unexpected touch of excitement to our vacation. It felt like being in harmony with nature, immersing ourselves in its beauty and charm. The views of the horses and chickens were a fantastic distraction. The horses exuded grace and elegance, while the chickens provided a whimsical atmosphere with their lively presence. The daily interactions with these animals added a unique charm to our stay. The rental property itself was a haven of comfort and relaxation. We left with hearts full of cherished memories and a strong desire to return. Truly a sanctuary

Looking for relaxation and privacy? The sanctuary farm is for you. Lovely and kind hosts, all the little things thought of, enough decor to be very appealing but not cluttered so you have nowhere to put your things. Modern appliances but a rustic feel. Our fourth rental home in as many years, and by far our favorite! We’ll be back.

Gorgeous Home and Location!

We loved our stay at the Sanctuary House. The house itself was so beautiful - it had the farmhouse feel with modern touches and appliances. The view off the back deck was amazing and we enjoyed a lot of our time out there. We loved having the horses and chickens out front to say hi to as we came and left! We live in Chilmark and offer our Sanctuary Farm home as a guest property. We adore Martha’s Vineyard and are thrilled to host people on this beautiful island. We live on the island so don't hesitate to reach out for anything you need. We will give you peace and quiet but contact us via text and we will take care of your needs and requests quickly!

Enjoy roaring fires in the fireplace and cook up meals from local meats, dairies and produce in the well appointed kitchen. Enjoy the slower pace of life, soaks in the hot tub, hikes in Cedar Tree Neck Sanctuary and watching the horses graze in their fields. It's a magical property that we are thrilled to be able to share.
