Enjoy your Poipu vacation in this gorgeous Lanai Villas home at Poipu Kai Resort! This property is centrally located, so you can take the lighted path a short walk east to watch the sunrise or west for the sunset. The resort features tropical walking paths and is beautifully landscaped and lit for romantic evening strolls.
This spacious two-story home was remodeled in 2021 and has a wonderful floor plan, in addition to the 5 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms, there is a laundry room and spacious lanai deck with a peek-a-boo ocean view. This a great vacation home for families with sleeping for up to 10 guests. Make this your Island home while visiting Sunny Poipu in Kauai.
Makana Hale is the perfect place to relax after your days of hiking, biking, golfing, tennis, snorkeling, tide pooling, swimming, surfing, boating, horseback riding, zip lining, dining, or just quiet relaxation. Feel free to ask us for suggestions to make your vacation more memorable.

The house was a great fit for our family of 8 and the location was very close to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics we needed. As other reviewers mentioned, they provide a starter supply of items like soap and toilet paper, so if you are staying more than a short time, plan to pick up extras. That seems pretty standard for most VRBO rentals. Communication was strong, the property was very clean, and we would definitely stay there again.

Spacious and great location

We had a wonderful time in Poipu. The house is walking distance (along a footpath) from Brennecke and Poipu beach, which has good snorkeling and lifeguards during the day, and where green turtles rest in the evening. We were a 3-generation party of 9 and the space worked great.

GREAT location but low stock of supplies

The location was AMAZING. The hosts were great to work with. The only thing we weren’t prepared for was that some amenities would be provided but only a starter kit. It had 5 garbage bags and small bottle of soap. We obviously worked through that but just heads up for future guests.

Beautiful getaway

Our family of 10 enjoyed staying in this house within a 10-minute walk from both Shipwreck Beach (for sunrises) and Poipu Beach (for sunsets and sea turtles). The house was as advertised with everything we needed. Access to the athletic club was great for those of us who wanted to get in a workout or use the hot tub (need to drive there). Note that you'll need to buy your own cooking oil and spices, as nothing besides small salt and pepper shakers and 2 starter coffee packets are provided in the home. While there are multiple TVs, there are also no games or cards.

Excellent property for families. The house was remarkably clean and well-maintained with a comfortable layout. Its prime location provides convenient access to Poipu Beach and several great dining options. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous Renovated Home in Poipu

This recently renovated 5 bedroom house was perfect for our group of 10 adults. The house had almost everything we could need for our stay. The kitchen was well stocked even including gourmet knives which are a treat in any rental property. The furnishings were all very comfortable. The beds and linens were high end and the bathrooms were stocked with many towels. The only downside to the property which we hope the owners will fix were there were no window coverings in the three main floor bedrooms which did not allow for any privacy or light blocking in the morning. Otherwise our group was very impressed with the property and the location being a 5 minute walk to the ocean. The property included access to the Poipu Ahtletic Club but we did not utilize this.
