Experience the heart of Charlottesville from this fully renovated and spacious penthouse apartment located on the main strip of the historic Downtown Mall. Featuring 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a queen sleeper sofa, an upscale chef's kitchen, and exceptional Downtown Mall views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. This space exceeds all expectations whether you're looking for a restorative night in or exciting night out. Walk out the door and you'll have access to all the Downtown Mall has to offer; top-tier dining, shopping and music venues. Only a quick drive to UVA, wineries and breweries.

Due to the nature of a historic building 2 flights stairs are required.
If you are familiar with the area, it is located in the same building as Christians Pizza, Revolutionary Soup and The Alley Light restaurant.

Other amenities and features:
- Spacious living area with flat screen TV (YouTubeTV provided as an alternative to cable) and large, wrap-around couch
- Gas fireplace separates the living area from fully the equipped chef's kitchen
- The kitchen offers a refrigerator/freezer, oven, induction stove-top plus a 2 burner gas top, kitchen island with built-in cutting board, dining for 6, 2 coffee makers (drip and Keurig), electric tea kettle, dishwasher, prep-sink and wash sink
- Floor to ceiling windows with remote-controlled blinds throughout
- Behind the centrally located kitchen (think v-shaped walls centered in the open-spaced apartment) is the queen pull-out couch and built-in desk for any work needed to be done. The separation of the kitchen walls provides privacy for the pull-out couch.
- Master King bedroom offers a flat-screened TV, built-in drawers, large walk-in closet, views overlooking the mall, en-suite bathroom with: his and her's sinks, walk-in shower, private commode and bidet
- Queen bedroom offers a queen bed, large closet, views overlooking the downtown mall
- 2nd Full Bath is located across from the single bedroom with a walk-in shower, sink and commode

Great stay

We were in town to visit friends. The apartment was centrally located, clean, and perfect for family. It was loud at night, but that was to be expected given its location-- the sound machines were helpful!

An awesome place in the best location

This apartment was so well decorated and supplied! We only stayed for the weekend but did not have to get back in the car at all the entire time! It was very walkable with tons of shops and restaurants around. The property was very clean and well stocked.

High quality, pictures don’t do it justice, wolf and subzero in the kitchen, nicest bathrooms I’ve ever been in, will be back…park in water street parking garage (cheapest option by far) and drop off pick up in loading zone on 2nd street, No big deal

Weekend at the Penthouse

WONDERFUL! This was an outstanding property located in a perfect location. Parking wasn’t hard to find but it was 2 blocks. There was outside noise you can hear at night but having lived in NYC we didn’t mind. We reallly enjoyed the comfort the Penthouse offered and are looking to book again for a longer stay..

Great location!

Our stay at the Penthouse Apartment was wonderful! The apartment is bright and airy, with lots of upscale amenities. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Charlottesville for the location with the beautiful views of the downtown mall from the apartment!

Amazing location! Cool space! A couple of hiccups!

We enjoyed our stay at this cool loft space in Charlottesville. The location can’t be beat-we loved the proximity to the ped mall and easy access to everything we wanted to do in C’ville (UVA, Monticello, Shenandoah). The penthouse is beautiful-impressive and thoughtfully designed. It felt both fancy and just like home in the best way. Access to the unit is a bit cumbersome with many key codes-but provided directions were detailed and clear. Our code to the actual unit did not work on arrival; but the manager’s response was swift and appropriate. We sought their assistance again when we couldn’t locate bedding for the fold out sofa bed. In the end, they provided a code to a locked closet in the unit and suggested we look amongst the laundry bags for linens (unfortunately, there were many kitchen trash bags of linens and it was quite off putting to have to search through trash bags for sheets). On another note, the advertised in unit washer and dryer were also in this locked space-making the listing a bit misleading. To end on a positive note, we appreciated the sleek design, comfy beds, amazing steam shower, and top notch location! It was a great launching pad for our long weekend in Charlottesville.

Fun Stay in Cville

We enjoyed our stay, the place was ver nice. We loved the walkability, enjoyed browsing the shops and had a great lunch at Tilman’s! There was a little rowdy noise, in the middle of the night Friday, from the mall but everything else was great!

Great location!

Beautiful property in a central location. We had a great time walking everywhere! Parking and unloading were a little tricky, but it was worth it to be right in the middle of things.

Wonderful Experience !

Beautiful apartment which is extremely spacious and too many wonderful touches to list . Staying there you feel on top of the world and like royalty ! If you want a special trip in the center of the downtown mall there is nothing better . We can’t wait to stay there again !

Beautiful modern airy loft

We had an amazing stay. You can’t beat the location right on the mall. Loved waking up every day and drinking coffee on the couch by the huge windows in the living area. Everything is comfy and well-appointed. Some late night street noise but appreciated the white noise machines. I’d love to stay again.

Great place to stay for a wedding weekend

This property is well kept and had everything we needed. Comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. We never needed to cook but the kitchen was great.

Virginia Beach Extension

The location is perfect for shopping, restaurants, and pubs. The loft is spacious, clean, and the kitchen is well equipped. Be careful and pack light though, there is no elevator and many steep steps to climb to get to the loft. Also, the only reason I rated this a 4 on cleanliness is because of the entrance and hallways leading to the loft. The loft was very clean, but the building itself was not.

Great location!

Beautiful property very convenient to many downtown mall activities. We had a wonderful time at this property. There is some late night noise from bars in area but was happy with sound machines provided. Would definitely stay here again!

Really fun experience

My husband and I had a 2 night, mid-week stay at the penthouse. It is a very creatively layed out space - the designer did a remarkable job. Everything is just as in the pictures and even better. It is located literally on the mall with outside dining right below so it can be noisy at times but that is all a part of staying right on the mall. Be aware though that there are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the penthouse - carrying your luggage. We are in our early 70's and didn't have a problem but if stairs are an issue then reconsider a stay. We spent an entire day eating and going into shops and walking around. The mall has a relaxed vibe and has a small town European feel to it with the eclectic mix of stores and interesting people-watching time. There are 3 French restaurants, 1 Himalayan and numerous others including Citizen Burger on the mall. So for a fun experience - and a very cool place to stay try this rental.

Perfect - Other Than Parking

The penthouse was beautiful & was right in the center of the charming downtown Charlottesville ❤️ We were able to enjoy great food & a couple of the local fun spots & required no driving!! Only down fall is parking- there really needs to be either a designated place for parking or validation as it can get cumbersome renewing parking (in the closer lots) not to mention expensive- we finally figured out the parking deck on 2nd street was our least expensive way of parking. This really needs to be disclaimed at booking! Other than parking - it was perfect!!!!❤️
