Waves Village #17 is in multi -colored building next to Kitty Hawk Kites in Rodanthe, NC. Sound Front 3 bedroom/3bath with private hot tub over looking community pool with incredible extensive views of the Pamlico Sound(pool is open from mid April to October 1). Large living area with open floor plan. Hard wood floor, granite counter tops, wonderful wood accents, original art work, large balcony over looking the pool. Private gas grill and private hot tub on your private covered balcony. Washer and Dryer in condo. New owners have painted, hung new artwork, new bedding, new grill, all new silverware, dishes and glassware as well as new master bath tub. Fireplace is decorative only, non-operational.
We are next door to Kitty Hawk Kites, bike, paddle board and kayak rentals, putt putt golf, arcade and several restaurants. 6’ 4” parking clearance under condo building as well as adjacent large open parking area with an Electric Vehicle charging station. Pets are not allowed. This new policy allows our allergic child to have a positive stay when visiting. We also offer a parking spot on the ocean front with direct access to the beach with hot showers. This allows you to enjoy both family beach time and beautiful water front sunsets

Great Location

This was a great condo with the perfect location facing the sound. We had beautiful sunsets every night. This place was clean and very spacious. I highly recommend this spot!

Fabulous view of the sound. Short walk to the beach. Condo was clean and roomy. Liked having the hot tub with the view of the sound. Very short walk to the coffee shop and the surf shop. Couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. Property manager was excellent to communicate and very timely.

Great Views

This was a great little getaway place for our group of 5 adults and an infant. Plenty of living space and a lovely sound view from the deck. The place has most basic things you’ll need for a weekend, but it’s not too far away from a store if you need something during your stay. Would stay again!

Beautiful sunsets

We really enjoyed staying here at the Carolinian Sound. You are greeted by a beautiful view of the sound as far as you can see, from the moment you walk in the door. We spent every evening watching the gorgeous sunsets. The place was spacious and very comfortable. The elevator was only working one time while we were there, but we loved everything else.

The condo was beautiful. There wasnt any manager to check in with. The sunsets were beautiful, had to send pictures to make people jealous. Will definitely recommend to family and friends

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

found the condo to be very convenient location. close to enough restaurants for a week stay. 30 minute drive south to Hatteras lighthouse area, 30 minutes north to Nags Head etc. we really liked the (relatively) quieter vibe of the Rodanthe area. navigation is easy since there's only one thru road...condo is well appointed and comfortable...we rented a small car and found parking easy...loved the coffee shop steps away...all in all a very memorable trip and the condo was a big part of it...

Great location beautiful condo!

We made a trip in March with our college age sons. Great location on the sound. Enjoyed watching the water sport enthusiasts from the spacious deck and hot tub. Great space for games relaxing and meals. Three big bedrooms! Owner Ron quick to answer all our questions. Lots of closed restaurants before April so appreciated the dollar general close by for snacks. Easy trip down to Avon/hatteras or up to nags head. Perfectly located for our explorations.

The view 9h my, everything it was said to be. Hot tub was wonderful, pool was so clean, stairs were bot a problem.We went during the season end , not too busy after Labor Day. Before that though, this property is right in the action so be advised.The interior of the house was very clean and well decorated, beautiful inside. Bedding was avb but not made. Towels and rags not provided. Fyi.Dollar General close buy so cheap supper or necessary run was not a problem. The beach was across the street but not to our disadvantage since the sound was in our back yard. Never had a sunset like that one.

Great OBX stay

This is a great place to stay! Very open and roomy. It was clean and the location was great. One thing to note is that many things are not provided. After booking we were told that they don’t provide any towels, though you can rent some from the cleaning service. One roll of toilet paper was left for three bathrooms so it required a run out for paper products. Also, plan to make beds, though sheets are provided. The owner allowed us to check out a bit late when we asked and we appreciated his flexibility. Overall a great stay!

The view was great, but the property was not very clean. There were empty paper towel rolls in the bathroom and they supplied one roll total for the entire condo. There were dirty sheets in the washer, some dishes weren’t clean and there was a dead roach on the floor by the bed. The elevator was out of service so we had to carry our bags up the stairs.

Great balcony with a view

My husband and I stayed here for our first trip to the Outer Banks. It is a very nice condo, with a great view of the sound. It was also very clean. The balcony was our favorite spot. This is right next door to a kiteboarding business, which we loved. Those who can…do. Those who can’t…watch. We were away from the condo for most of the morning and early afternoon to see the sights, but really enjoyed the balcony in late afternoon. Perfect place to watch the sunset, too. I didn’t have much need to contact the owner, but he was quick to respond when I did. Overall very pleased with our stay.

Perfect Family Getaway in Waves, OBX!We just returned from an incredible week at our Waves rental and already can’t wait to come back! The home was everything we hoped for and more—clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with all the comforts of home in a peaceful, beachy setting.The location was ideal—just a short walk to the beach and tucked into a quiet neighborhood that felt both safe and relaxing. We loved waking up to ocean breezes and spending our days enjoying the sun, sand, and surf. There were also plenty of fun local spots nearby, including great restaurants, surf shops, and places to grab ice cream or fresh seafood.The house itself was perfect for our group. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out, a well-stocked kitchen for cooking meals together, and comfy furniture both indoors and out. We especially enjoyed evenings on the deck watching the sunset and stargazing—it was magical!Everything about our stay was smooth and welcoming, from the check-in process to the thoughtful touches throughout the home. If you’re looking for a relaxing, family-friendly OBX retreat, this Waves rental is it. We highly recommend it and would definitely return!

Overall it’s a good place with a great killer view. I had a feeling that paid for the view along! The building is older and needs more love. The pool was always too cold to swim in it even in August. Wonder if that was intentional. The other downside of the area is that the closest large grocery store is 25 minutes away. You can get basics in dollar store or the local market store but not much of a selection. The place needs some updates, especially shower in the master king bedroom, the tub is clacked and just looks scary and the toilet room had rusty water marks on the walls. The queen room had a strange smell that didn’t go away our entire stay.

Thanks for your review. We have recently replaced the master tub and completed redoing the master toilet area. We try our best to keep our property up to date during the season but sometimes we need extra time to complete our projects.

Awesome views

Condo was very spacious! Elevator stopped working which was not good with two elderly parents and we were told it happens all the time! This issue needs to be resolved. If you are there with strong winds, take the grill cover off!! Grill ended up flipping over at 3 am in the morning, which was not fun to deal with. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony and kite surfing is fun to watch!

Beautiful view, roomy condo--needs some maintenance

Description and reviews were accurate. Nice location right off of HWY 12 ...located right on the Pamlico Sound. Kite boarding business next door. Entertaining to watch. Bright lights from business kept bedroom lit up at night. Take eye mask!Roomy condo. Each bedroom has private bathroom. Well-appointed kitchen. Some maintenance is necessary. Light fixtures in bathroom loose on wall. Faucet in shower and toilet paper holder falling off wall. No bathroom rugs. WiFi and TV instructions are vague. However, host was prompt in answering questions.

We purchased this condo to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and easy access to our favorite water sports. The 3 bedrooms allows space for our family and friends to visit and not feel crowded. We were greatly impressed with the craftsmanship, incredible views and 9 foot ceilings of this condo.
