Vero's own Ocean Drive shopping is 2 miles away--a 5-minute drive or 40-minute beach walk. Forgot your hat or bathing suit? Visit the Twig or Deep Six (mainland) for a huge selection. Village Beach market grocery is .5 miles away and can be accessed by sidewalk. Larger grocery stores (fresh Market and Publix) are a ten minute drive to the mainland in the Miracle Mile Shopping Plaza.

Visit local favorites like the White Orchid Spa, Cobalt, and Heaton's Reef oceanside restaurants in the Vero Beach hotel. Continue your beach bar crawl south by visiting famous lively local venues like the Boiler Room, Bobby's, Ocean Grill (great holiday decor), Grind and Grape (dancing, live music), Gloria Estefan's Costa D' Este (Miami vibes), Waldo's (the last of the Great American hangouts) and Citrus Grill (upscale). Uber to the Riverside Cafe for more dining and dancing. Citron Bistro in the Village Shops to the north offers a relaxed yet sophisticated setting.

Families can enjoy a casual breakfast at the Lemon Tree (lots of indoor seating), Chelsea's or Cravings, and be sure to visit Kilwin's chocolates and ice cream for dessert. Varietals on Royal Palm Pointe has an amazing selection.

Is comedy or theater your happy place? Visit the Riverside Theater, which offers free outdoor concerts "Live in the Loop" on Friday and Saturday evenings before shows, just 2 miles away.

Check out Downtown Vero on 14th Avenue, home of the First Friday Gallery Stroll and mural walk, and great local favorites like Rio Coco Cafe, Cafe 1420, Post and Vine, Baci and Kilted Mermaid for live music, craft beer, trivia and the occasional drag queen bingo. American Icon Brewery, voted best brewery in the Treasure Coast, is a restaurant in a renovated Vero Beach Diesel Power plant, originally built in 1926. Pickle ball courts are located downtown near Pocahontas Park, or at Dick Bird Park.

Craving a state park visit? Vero Beach sits between the Fort Pierce Inlet State Park and Sebastian Inlet State Park, both great surf spots! Craving a water adventure? Rent a kayak or paddle boards or enjoy a guided tour from Paddles by the Sea. Rent a bicycle at Trek Bikes Island e bikes or Bicycle Sport and ride the historic Jungle Trail to the Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge, America's first national Wildlife Refuge.
