Galveston/Surfside Beach Retreat - Dog Friendly Home - 500 Steps to the Beach
At Barefoot and Blessed, you will find the true meaning of a beach getaway. Far enough away from the crowds and craziness, but close enough to still enjoy what Galveston and Surfside have to offer. Just hit “book now” and feel your stress begin to melt away as you envision being less than 500 steps to the beach (and your toes in the sand!) in the coveted Treasure Island neighborhood - halfway between Galveston and Surfside Beach. After you stop for groceries along the way, arrive at our home, throw the car in park and kick your shoes off because you have finally arrived at a true beach retreat!
The Space
Barefoot and Blessed is a lovely, family friendly 3 bedroom 2 bath home with beautiful ocean and beach views from the expansive deck. Fully stocked with new beds, flooring, and decor. We have everything to complete your retreat - appliances, kitchenware, paper supplies, etc.
Enough space for up to 12 to sleep very comfortably. (13 if you count the comfy hideaway bed in the living room couch.)
Worried about a four legged family member? Remember, this is a stress free zone. Even your “good boy or girl” will feel like they’re on vacation right along with you with our doggie door that opens to an enclosed stairway that goes right down to the fully fenced yard. We are Pet Friendly for up to 2 dogs up to 40 lbs (per dog).
Our home comes fully equipped with kayaks, minimal fishing gear, a few beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels, etc. - all you need to bring is your swimsuit and sunblock and leave your stress at home.

Our family loves to travel - planes, trains and automobiles! We love to camp and to cruise, the mountains or the beach. One of our all-time favorite trips was to Yellowstone, but there is nothing quite like the serenity of a week on the coast! We love renting out our RV and now are excited to extend our hosting to our beach home.

Our home - "Barefoot and Blessed" is less than 500 steps to the beach (and your toes in the sand!) in the coveted Treasure Island neighborhood - halfway between Galveston and Surfside Beach. After you stop for groceries along the way, arrive at our home, throw the car in park and kick your shoes off because you have finally arrived at a true beach retreat!
Treasure Island is a little off the beaten path, but still close enough to all the action and craziness that Galveston has to offer and still very close to the quirkiness that is Surfside Beach! We especially love this property because it feels fairly secluded and yet the amenities are amazing - beautiful beaches, bay, boat ramp and fishing pier are all within walking distance. But, why walk if you don't have to?
Load up and hit the beach (for sandcastles and seashells) or the bay for fishing (bring your own gear or use our poles). The only time you might have to get in your car is if you want to kayak around the bay - 2 adult kayaks and 2 children/youth kayaks included. You can even bring your boat and use the neighborhood private boat ramp.
At Barefoot and Blessed, you can kick off your shoes, relax in the ocean breeze, and you won't have to put those shoes back on again until you are ready to go back to the real world. Come and stay a few days or weeks and feel the stress melt away - you truly will be blessed!

The amenities of our home will always stand out above and beyond others. The kayaks, beach and fishing gear are just a few of the things that will make your stay unforgettable. And we are adding more amenities all the time. Some of the unique benefits of our home is that we are Family-friendly and this even includes your four legged family members. 2 dogs up to 50 pounds each are welcome. We might even be more than friendly because our home is set up to make your “good boy or girl” feel like they’re on vacation right along with you with our doggie door that opens to an enclosed stairway that goes right down to the fully fenced yard.
Our bunk room is set up to allow up to 7 people to sleep very comfortably in a bunk bed (with Full over Full bunks and a Twin pull out Trundle) and a Queen bed. This room also features a large FlatScreen TV with ROKU - making it a place your kids won't ever want to leave - no matter how old they are! The other two bedrooms both have King beds which make the perfect set up for 2 families with lots of kids or a large extended family trip!
Our bunk room is set up to allow up to 7 people to sleep very comfortably in a bunk bed (with Full over Full bunks and a Twin pull out Trundle) and a Queen bed. This room also features a large FlatScreen TV with ROKU - making it a place your kids won't ever want to leave - no matter how old they are!
